  1. Hi Everyone,

I am looking for any suggestions or advice with regards to an awe full situation we are facing, Are Removal of conditions was approved back in July 2019 and we received an email that the Card has been mailed along with the tracking number, we tracked it on usps and saw it was delivered, we checked our mail and nothing. We checked the tracking number again to see where it was delivered and found that it was delivered to some weird named town near Philadelphia PA, and we live in Ohio, we never lived in PA, never did a change of address, never been to that town ever. So we called USCIS and the they said they will call us again within a week, we received a call from someone at USCIS and after looking through they said they had an admin error and they mailed the Green Card to someone else(omg). He said they will investigate and review the case and also sent us an email. Now its more than 90 days since the review and since we didnt hear anything again, we called the USCIS and this time they say they will need to verify things and wait for 30 days, when we let them know its almost 120 days they said "Its you who is saying this was an Admin error, USCIS is not saying there was an error".
Now we are like what the hell happens now, every 90 days if we call they will keep making new wait list of another 30 days.

Any suggestions or advice? we havent been to the infopass yet but are planning it now.

  2. Hello All,

My wife had her bio metrics appointment today. The appointment letter had the case number MSCXXXX01- MSCXXXX03. We had applied for all three I485,I131,I765. At the support center they took the biometrics for just two cases 01 and 03 and not 01 through 03, they said this is only for 485 and 765. My wife asked isn't this for all three applications and they said No.

So does the 131 not require fingerprinting?

  3. Am I missing anything here for supporting documents?

I-864-- 3 Year Tax forms, bank statement, Employment letter, paystub.

I-485 -- Marriage Certificate, birth Certificate, NOA2, passport biography page, k1 visa, I94, DS 3025(vaccination record), 2 passport size photos.

I765,I-131-- are any other supporting document required for these two forms?extra photos?

Even though its not required we front loaded the application with lease doc, insurance info, joint bank statement and some photos?

  4. On the I131 Part 3 the section asks for Date of Intented Departure and Expected length of journey.

What do we enter for this?

On the I485 there is question about K1 expiry, do we enter the date of expiration for the visa or the expiry of I94?

Also our Marriage certificate still shows the maiden name of my wife(there wasn't any option to change during registration) and court said we have to change name at the SS office, so where do we add her new name on the forms, SSN is in maiden name and SS says they go by immigration records.

    Thank you.

  5. My Fiance had the interview today and she was APPROVED!! One quick question for you guys, Was the Xray CD required at your POE? My fiance took her Xray CD with her to the embassy, security guys told her she should be fine but later in line they said that they will have to open the Xray CD which said DO NOT OPEN. They opened it and let her go in, interview was completed and she was approved but now she is freaking out about the X ray CD case which is now open.

  6. Call them after about 15 days after you receive your NOA2, at that time they might tell you that you need to wait 35 days after approval or if you are lucky you might get your case number. If they say they dont have your case yet call them again after few days.

Calling in the morning 0700 EST or after 2300 EST usually helps to get through faster.

I received my case number 30 days after my NOA2 approval

    hello all,

S and I got our NOA 2 approved recently. I read about the ordeals of calling NVC to get a case number on the K1 visa forum. Anyone went through this process recently?

How many days after your NOA2 arrival did you receive the NVC case number?

    Thanks,

    N

  7. What email address are you using?

Thanks! Unfortunately my e-mail to the embassy seems to have gone unanswered. I e-mailed them back on Monday and didn't even get a NoReply response. I'd also e-mailed support in general, and while they initially responded asking which Embassy I was inquiring about, it's now been 3 days and no further follow up. we're going to try calling today, and perhaps e-mailing again if things don't start moving. It's getting really frustrating feeling like they're just ignoring us =/

  8. Trust me I know. They do screw up on the address part. My fiance received her mail and the Post man did say that the embassy screwed the address and my fiance only got the package since the postman knew her family and they did let him know they are waiting on a package.

But for us the Mail didnt really matter since we already had the email which is required for getting medical and all done.

Ask the beneficiary to let her local postman know she is waiting on a package from US embassy, that really helps.

Thanks Roh&Dee =), I'm just a little nervous since my Fiancee's address is so long and convoluted that the packet won't reach here and will get lost in the mail, but I'll cross my fingers than the problem is just them being slow rather than a real hiccup.

  9. It does indeed say Ready, in fact it says it was updated as of the 18th. So should we perhaps call tomorrow and try and find out what's going on? Or should I wait for responses to the e-mail queries I sent earlier today? It sounds like we could've started this over a week ago, so I'm kinda pissed and impatient now.

Thank you for the help btw.

Good that it says READY, my fiance's case was stuck IN TRANSIT for almost a month. Since it says READY, try mailing UStraveldocs India, calling might also help. But keep in mind the people at those call centers are ROBOTS they will just read whats on their screen and I guess they just copy paste the same email msg to everyone without even reading its contents. If that doesn't work and its almost a month, contact your local Congressman or Senator, but use that as a last option. Embassy's in India and US travel docs are notoriously slow.

  10. I had contacted the NVC and my Senator, the NVC did a case location search and found that the case was with the embassy since 28th July, they forwarded that information to the embassy. And I am not sure if cuz of NVC or the senators intervention I received an email straight from the Embassy(not from US TRAVEL DOCS) the email contained our Packet 3 and 4. The status on CEAC also changed to Ready.

I am guessing they must have misplaced the package or was just lying somewhere and since Mumbai consulate doesnt email Package 3 and 4 straight from .GOV email address I feel it has to be the invovlement of NVC or Senator.

    what does yours say ?

  11. Call them 0700 EST and keep trying or call after 2300 EST. I spoke to them this morning at 0700 with hardly any wait time

Our case was approved on 30th June 2015. We still haven't received the case number from NVC. We called NVC but we can never reach any representative. We email them but no reply yet. Could anyone suggest what can we do now? Is it ok not knowing the NVC case number and simply wait for packet 3?
    Thank you so much.

  12. Ceac still says its in transit. I spoke to NVC this morning and they said they did a Case Location search inquiry and it seems the package was received at the consulate on 28th jul and they have forwarded those details to the embassy, Meanwhile the call center guys hired by embassy (USTRAVEL DOCS) still say the case is in transit or with NVC and just wont understand no packages are in transit for 4 weeks :(
