We met in 1999 through a mutual friend who took me to Ethiopia on a vacation! We stayed in touch and after I couldn't take it any longer, headed back there in November of 2003. Working through the language barrier, and well, just about anything else that could go wrong that did, after 3 tries and an extended stay, we were married on November 17, 2003. After I returned home, I immediately started to gather paperwork as I searched for an attorney. Noticing that next to nothing was getting accomplished between Thanksgiving and New Years, I realized, sadly, that this would be a long process... Let the waiting begin!
