  1. Thanks again for the good wishes

We had a wonderful day with the family. Seeing our Grandson open his gifts was just marvellous. Especially when he enjoyed playing with the boxes rather than the gifts!

    Merry Christmas all.

    Richard & Josie

Congratulations Richard and Josie,Ive followed your story and its given me hope too.my husband, richard, who lives in london is also waiting for his passport that was sent to the embassy via courrier with the extra documents required is still waiting.his interview was 10th dec,he was asked at the interview for my original divorce decree papers which got to him on 22nd dec and were taken on 30th dec via courrier(would have been taken on 23rd but courrier messed up address and dates),he paid for everything so now we wait......i guess it might take another 2 weeks.the nvc never asked for my original decree if they did my husband would have been with me and the kids in california for christmas.we wait in hope just like you did, hanging in there. Its funny coz im josephine and we sign up too as Richard and Josie,I hope your luck rubs onto us..happy new year .

  2. I'm just a little confused. We were denied and handed in our waiver.

They kept both my husband's passport and the envelope with all the stamps on it.

Just wondering why they'd do that since it's going to be another 6-9 months for us. I mean, I know my husband can't come here, but what if he wanted to go on vacation or something? (I know better - we can't afford it  ) No big deal, was just wondering if everybody else had to leave their passport & stamped envelope behind when you were facing the I-601.

    Confused & curious...

my husbands passport was taken too 4 days ago as well.did your husband ever get his back?i wonder why they keep them in case one needs to travel somewhere.

  3. happy holidays VJ family! I have a question,my husband got his interview on dec 10th at the embassy in london and they needed my decree from my first marriage which i mailed nd he recieved it on 22nd.due to the holiday s he was told a courrier would pick the documents today along with his passport which they did this afternoon. So the question is what now?does anyone know someone in our situation who has had to wait for 221g?He was denied but he was asked to pay money for the visa when he went for his interview.do we have any hope? Its the not knowing how long we wait afterwards or what to do.Thanks in advance.
