  1. Congrats rialtoma! I am wondering where others found their tracking numbers. I don't see mine neither on the site nor in the text msg/email

It takes 2 days for Priority to get to AZ from CA, so hopefully on Thursday we'll see our cards.

    Germanimmigrant,

I bet you're going to get your card production message this week! Looks like they're printing cards in order they were approved. Fingers crossed for you.

Congrats Amber and Rialtoma on getting the card mailed e-mails... You can call and get the tracking numbers, I didn't bother though and mine took 2 days priority. Unfortunately neither the site nor the online updates give you the tracking number.

Inside the envelope my card was in there was a sheet with tracking number on it, out of interest I plugged it into USPS tracking and it said it came from Kentucky, in spite of the mailing return address being in Laguna, CA. So it took 2 days from Kentucky to Northern California, hope its as fast for you guys.

German Immigrant - you should get yours soon, like Amber said looks like they're doing it in order of approval. Fingers crossed you'll get an update any day now

  2. Congrats guys!

Hoping to see y'all at the citizenship stage soon :)

Thanks Amber! Your card mailing e-mail update has to be coming any day now!

    Just saw this...

I got message and update yesterday about 4 pm May 23 (my decision date was April 25, almost a month). Funny part, at 11 something pm I got another update (on my cell). that woke me up. I don't think somebody was working on my case at that time of night, so second update is just automatic then.

Congrats! Looks like card production are back from vacation and speeding it up!

  3. Yay! Congrats! So happy for you  Relief!

Did you have to sign for it? (I am work during the day so will get a card to go to the Post Office if that's the case)

    Any online alerts about delivery?

Does it say on the postmark where it was sent from?

Sorry for the questions, just trying to get an idea of when mine will come since our cards were sent on the same day...

Ignore my questions Wasabi, I got an e-mail that my card is delivered. Fingers crossed it should be in my mail box when I get home.

  4. Just got the Green Card in the mail. This stage of the journey is over!

Yay! Congrats! So happy for you  Relief!

  5. Just received card production texts and email :) fingers crossed for getting it in the mail this week! Woohoo!!

Yay Amber! Congrats! Such a relief huh?

I just got another email that says the following:

The USPS reported that they picked up mail from USCIS containing your new card on May 22, 2012. You should receive your new card within 7 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, please call our customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

It's weird nearly six months of silence and now I am getting updates like twice a day.

I got the same message a few hours ago too... and agree its strange to be getting constant updates after no news for so long, but pretty reassuring too. Hope our cards show up in the next 7 days as the alerts say... Wonder where the cards are mailed from?

  6. Me too mine said this:

On May 22, 2012, we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file. You should receive your new card within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

It says within 30 days but hopefully it will only take a week.

I got that same message today too... Our cards are on their way!

Marie, have you received your card yet? I was approved a couple of days after you so I am somewhat hopeful that my card will show up during the next two weeks.

Hi! Not yet but my card was mailed today... So not long now hopefully! :innocent:

  7. Congratulations, marie09.

My friend and his wife who is from Canada filed for their ROC last June and the 10 year green card in hand by September. And they sent their paperwork to the CSC. As you say, it seems CSC is trying to emulate Vermont.

    Thank you!

marie09, wasab, did your on-line status at USCIS web-site changed also? And was it the first change from the time they received your I-751 last year?

Yes my online status changed today for the first time since my NOA date last year. It now shows a last updated date of today and when I click on it, it has the message about card production. The initial review circle is no longer colored in and actually no circles are colored in.

  8. Geez, congrats, marie09, hopefully this very last stage (mailing) will go smoothly.

Funny, before I started my I-751 processing last year I was under impression that the whole process takes like 3-4 months max, that what I was getting from people I knew who applied in 2010 - 2011. Now it seems like it's 2 more months + AFTER approval. that's really crazy.

Thank you, fingers crossed the mailing stage is efficient... Hope card production speeds up and you guys don't have to wait as long for the e-mail.

I had the same impression as you Rialtoma over timing. I remember seeing in November some September CSC filers got approved in 2 months. Never expected CSC to take over 6 months to have card in hand...

Looks like the CSC are trying to catch up with Vermont!

  9. FINALLY! :wow:

5 weeks and 3 days after my approval date, I got the e-mail all of us in thsi thread have been waiting for:

On May 18, 2012, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

 Hope the rest of you get yours soon!

  10. This doesn't seem the first time that this happened. I found an older thread from 2009 where approved I-751 people were waiting for their green cards for two months.

I saw that too, but the reason for that delay back in May 2009 was that they were switching the design of the cards and the delay was publicized on USCIS' website.

Wish they had better communications so we could know what was going on. An online status that worked and said something along the lines of 'you are X days away from card production' would be nice... Wishful thinking

Sympathise with you guys who are buying houses and traveling... We are moving on June 9th, 59 days after my approval. Fortunately we will still have access to our old mail box for a month or two after the move, though it will be an hour and a half round trip to check the mail  . Fingers crossed card shows up before then to avoid change of address confusion, since I heard that doesn't always go smoothly.

  11. I got an approval letter from them (decision date 25th of April), but on-line status never changed, no emails or messages. Looks like they are really slammed there or understaffed big time...

Same here, my approval letter came in the mail approval date April 10, online status still initial review. I always though card production was handled by a separate company... But everything to do with USCIS seems slow of late. :( Vermont seems faster at card production but then I guess they should be after how long approval is taking there. :bonk:

  12. I also suspect that it's for those of us who got the approval letter from CA, not from the local office or Nebraska. Just my thoughts.

It looks like they approved us and threw our cases back in the pile. At least we don't have to be afraid of RFE or interviews anymore, you know

Marie, are you going to start calling after crossing the 6 months line?

I have finals this week for grad school and a busy work schedule, so don't plan on calling yet. I saw someone who got their card production about a week ago after a 5 and a half week wait from approval date, (I have another week to go till i'm at 5 and a half weeks) so i'm trying to be patient a little longer. Maybe after I hit the 6 week mark a week on Tuesday if there's still no news, maybe i'll call then. Would like to avoid calling if I can since I know its hard to get someone on the line that can actually help, rather than frustrate the situation.

Hopefully card production will get moving this week for all of us...

  13. Congratulations, Faery!

Meanwhile, it's going to be a month since my approval and still no signs of GC in the mail Waiting_2.gif

Congrats Faery and all the others who have recently been approved

@Amber Love that smily face watch checker - sums it up nicely! Looks like of the 15 approvals, 10 of us are waiting on cards (though some of those approvals are very recent). Lets hope card production starts moving this week...

  14. I hope there are no significant delays, I will be traveling for work from 5/19 to 5/27 internationally, and am really not looking forward to have to bring my expired card, extension letter and the approval letter. Last time the POE officer kept on asking me if I had filed the ROC application, when did I file it and why it was taking so long??? I don't know, I thought you guys all worked together, shouldn't you know more than me???

The card production delays seem to be random and seem to be just those of us approved In April who found out we were approved by mail. I'm not sure if they had computer problems in April, but those of us stuck waiting for our cards have had no online updates and our cases still say "initial review" online. I've noticed people approved in the last week or two have had their card approval e-mails right away - so like anything with immigration, luck has a lot to do with it.

Fingers crossed since you're traveling soon that you're in the lucky group who aren't stuck waiting and you get your card before your trip. We're moving next month 59 days after my approval date so hoping the card production hurries up...
