  1. please help me on the docs need for interview.is it true those docs will be sent by NVC the docs we sent or we need to provide all those doc again upon interview. thanks

All your documents that you sent to NVC togheter with your DS form will be forwarded to the local US embassy/consulate where you will have the visa interview. They will give you back all the originals that you've send.

  2. As I posted before, I have sent my DS 230 and AOS, NVC has received them on 28th June, as per AVR. I called again AVR, on 14th July, and AVR told me that there are some missing or incomplete infos. I called again and talked with a human operator and they told me that they need birth and marriage certificates of my sister, the petitioner, probably to see the relationship between beneficiar (me) and petitioner ( my sister)....

I asked if I can send the documents requested now, and she replied that I should wait for the letter from NVC, in which they will request me that....

    What should I do now?

  3. AOS postal adress :

    National Visa Center

    Attn. CMR AOS

    31 Rochester Avenue Suite 100

    Portsmouth, NH 038012909

    DS 230 postal adress :

    National Visa Center

    Attn. CMR

    31 Rochester Avenue Suite 100

    Portsmouth, NH 038012909

So its same adress, only difference is in attention of whom is delivered.

But I dont suggest anything, I dont know if it's better to send the documents in the same envelope. If you try this, make 2 separate folders, at least put in 2 transparent plastic folders, with the coversheet first page in each folders.

  4. FWIW - NVC 'changed up' it's 'home page', over at

    http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/nvc/nvc_1335.html

There's some specific new things in there that Mum should read - specifically -

Do not pay fees or submit documents until the NVC sends the fee invoice, generally sent by e-mail. If you do not have an e-mail address, then it is mailed.

Next Steps- After you have paid your fees, follow the detailed instructions in the “Document Collection” section below.

now I'm thinking she has the AOS fee invoice in her email, yes?

She can take the coversheet from the portal, send all in.

Sorry, the above answer was for me? I didn't get it right.

  5. OK. usually, when using the online payment portal -

after 'something' has been marked paid -

a coversheet, per 'something', is available to be printed.

This COVERSHEET availability (to be printed ) is FIRST NOTICE that it's ok to send something in.

ie- gots the I-864 coversheet available to be printed? Print it, send it in with the I-864 set, to the address in the coversheet.

The first link, listed here - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/257642-ds-3032-received/page__view__findpost__p__3954551 , covers all of that process.

It's a pity she's waiting on postal mail - will delay each piece (DS-230, I-864) by three months, each piece. I hope you weren't wanting to wait 6 months, ya, before 'Case Complete at NVC'.

Were you clicking any of the links I supplied, back at http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/257642-ds-3032-received/page__view__findpost__p__3954551 ?? Some ppl refuse to click any link in a post here, but TRUST ME, these links are safe to click.

I've sent DS230 together with the coversheet. Coversheet for I 864 also is available, but she is still waiting for instructions....

I've checked all the links you provided and also from other forums, so no problems.

    Thanks Darnell!

  6. Laur1111 - hey ! any news ?

Please note that I've sent the DS230 without receiving instruction fron NVC to do so...

PS - My sis, the petitioner, who is more legistic (!!!) she said that she wont send the I 864 to NVC without receiving notice to do so...So I 864 is still not sent...

PS 2 - Darnell mate, 1 of my brother in laws in the US is chinese too.... Dea is his family name!!

  7. So, there is me, principal beneficiary of petition and 3 derivative beneficiaries (spouse and 2 kids).

Question - should I send to NVC 4 envelopes with the civil documents and Ds 230 forms, or only 1 big, with the 4 application in 4 separates envelopes inside the big one?

    Thank you.

  8. Ok, I wanted to fill out the form Ds 230 on line and then to print it, but with the new form Ds 230 from 2-2010, but all the time the document gets printed mixed up, with some rows from the middle form on top of it!!! I've spend more than 100 pages and 1 cartridge but still I cannot figure it out! Maybe the document they posted on travel.state.gov is mixed up? Maybe have some sort of protection to prevent printing??? Or maybe its my printer? All other documents printed fine, only this one is messed up....

    Any ideas

There is something wrong with the new installed Windows 7....On my other computer forms printed right ! So, please disregard my previous message with the printing issue.

I've printed all the forms on the other PC.

  10. Hello again, now I have some questions regarding Ds 230 form:

    1. on my birth certificate there is family name: xxxx and first name: yyyyyy-zzzzzz (where there are my 2 names).

Which one is first name and which middle name?

    2. Item # 14 - is for my wife maiden name, right?

    3. Item # 16 - we have same adress, what should I write?

    4. Item # 29 - Should I write full name of my kids or only first and middle?

    5. # 31a - Same, should I write full names of all my family who will come with me?

And last - I have an SSN, but it's old and "rusty", should I write at # 43a that I want a replacement card? Or I will complicate my case?

    Thank you guys!

  11. Hello Darnell,

I have a question. My husband paid the $70.00 for my son for AOS. We are confused, do we need to pay another $ 70.00 for my daughter for her AOS in NVC. We sent $70.00 for my son AOS fee earlier. My daughter paper already approved in USCIS. Please help us.

    Thank you,

    Sheila

As I know also from my case, the AoS fee $70 should be paid for only the beneficiary(es) of the petition, not for the derivative beneficiary or so. The IV (visa fee) should be paid for all the beneficiary- principal and derivative beneficiary

  12. Are you the intending immigrant? If you'd like some speed, have yer USC petitioner get set up on the online payment portal - see

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/221785-ds-3032-slowdown/page__view__findpost__p__3560467

You can also email in the DS-3032 as an ascii text email - see http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Email_DS-3032_form

Many ppl here at VJ want speed during NVC processing. If you received this 'thing' via postal mail, you can still get some speed, you betcha !

links for yer USC Petitioner to review -

    DS-230 - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3190.html

    I-864 - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3730.html

    General NVC stuff - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1335.html

Good Luck with the rest of it !

(AOS request? that's usually the AOS Fee Bill, sent via email - so if it's indeed via email - GoGoGadget OnlinePaymentPortal ! )

Thank you very much for the useful links ! Yes, i'm the intending immigrant and I have allready send them back email with DS3032. Now I will talk to my sister (petitioner) to go thru the online payment process.

And maybe I was misunderstood, I have received the AOS request for payment(fee bill).

Thank you and good luck to all!

  13. Thanks a lot for the information . Not the answer I was hoping for but now things are clearer now.

My sister in law retires in 2 years and is going back to the old country , I guess thats the end of our American dream too.

    Thanks again.

Dont give up so quickly, contact USCIS and the consulate, explain the case better and see what they answer!

  14. Hi.. thanks for the info. Just one final question. My brother now mentioned that he submitted my application stating I am married, but did not provide a marriage certificate. Is this a source of concern? I.e. do I get the chance to submit the marriage certificate later?

Yes, you can email them anytime now or some time before your PD (priority date) become current, when they will start sending you forms and emails.

At this point I dont know wich is the best option, I have the same question, when my sister filled for me, I was married with 1 child, later another son came and I dont know when to inform them, because for me PD is very near (1 -3 months) and I'm affraid if I will inform them now maybe they will slow down the process; when they will send me the forms I will tell them to add my other son and so.

  15. Thanks for the confirmation.

Hope you don't mind me asking another silly question, if that's the case, there seem to be a big issue about green card holder's spouse (spouse not in the US) having to wait 4-5 years before being granted a 'immigrant visa' to enter the US - thus many couples are forced to live apart for 5 years.

How is my situation different to this?

Check this link also, at the 4th category! Family fourth preference :

    http://www.***removed***/greencard/familyba...categories.html

It seems that you still dont trust me! He he, I've been waiting over 9 year for this, now in a couple of months hopefully I will get the visa finally! So I have some experience with this, been reading a lot...

I dont know what you wanna say with the 4-5 years waiting time, that is a different category of visa, I think that is a visa issued for a spouse of a LPR - legal permanent resident.
