Still waiting No touch since 9/17/09.

I was out of status for 12 years, and now am a LPR... Dont worry, every thing will be fine.

Just do not put on the G325A that she was working or that she has a SS#. You all are being too judgemental and dont know the man's wife situation. A lot of people did that... and immigration turn a blind eye to it... thats why they adjust your status. You think that people who have overstayed their visas and then get married were just living and not working? Come on! They had to find a way to make a living... am sure it was just for work, not for the sake of identity theft.

It is for my sister. I am not sure which form her husband submitted. Husband a USC, filing the petition on her behalf. I am guessing I-130. She lives in Jamaica.

Alien Card as in Green Card...

When a US Citizen files for a Jamaican national or any other nationality... When you enter the USA (Point of Entry), do you know how long it takes for your alien card to be mailed to you? Do you have to wait on the alien card to get a Social Security card? If you choose to have them process the Social Security card with the green card, do you know how long that takes?

Send in I-130 Petition, I-485 - to Adjust Status, and I forgot the other form, but its for Employment Authorisation. You will need the Affidavit of Support, medical can be brought in for the interview, but wont hurt to be sent in with the above mentioned documents.

No need to worry. I was out-of-status for 12 years! Was I nervous as hell.!!! But all is well. Waiting in line now for conditions to be removed.

Mine was filed thru VSC.

if you filed at csc than by the trend i've seen its about 3 to 4 weeks after bio, thats if there's no rfe's i'm at that point now and going crazy checking updates every hour lol.

I live in Florida... I forgot which service center... could be Vermont.

Hi ayawdie, You can register @ USCIS website and put your receipt number of your Biometrics in appropriate blank, if you give them your email add they will send you the status of your case or you can check it everyday if you want!

it depends if u filed joint then it should not take long usually but if it is waiver then it will probably take lil bit longer alomost year. i know it is hard to wait even not knowing that wht would happen but all v can do is Wait . so lets keep hope for good . i hope it helps

Thanks guys! It was filed jointly. The unknown is just scary. You just never know what to expect from them.... USCIS and IRS intimdates me, lol.

Hi. I am new to VJ and have a question, well a few questions. First, I did my biometrics on 9/16, approximately how much longer do you think I will hear from them if application is approved, card ordered or 2nd interview? Secondly, I am due to file for my citizenship next year and I was going thru the questions... one of which was, if you were married before and legal status of exhusband... USC, LPR or OTHER, I have to choose other because he is an IA. It states if you choose OTHER, you need to explain... I plan on just writing VISITOR... as he is my child's father and do not want to throw him under the bus. Do you think they will dig further on him? Do they go thru the application you filled out at the interview?

Tell nothing but the truth, if your child was born here, is a USC anyway, you are not clear on this.

Not my child... my ex husband... his status has not been adjusted nor is anything been done about it yet.
