Hi Vjers,

I wanted to share our experience for getting PCC at Ahemedabad, India. Hopefully it will help the follow vjers.

For Ahmedabad, PCC is not available until you get the appointment letter (interview call) from NVC.

when my wife went first, time with the call letter, they declined to give her the PCC as they asked for the married name on her passport.

They said that you need to change your lastname to husband's lastname on the passport first as she said she was married in the PCC app form. Then she tried again, but this time she didnt say married in the PCC application form. This time they accepted her application and she got the PCC in 2 days.

My wife's visa was approved today at Mumbai consulate. She was all done in couple of hrs and overall it was a very good experience.

i am sorry to hear that, but are you sure that you are in AP ? In our case NVC operators never told us, finally when I spoke to supervisor i came to know.

Actually AP was not that long, it took 5 weeks for us, and they immediately they processed all our documents.

What kind of tests you need to take ? do you have take all the vaccines again ? also how much generally does it cost ?

Actually I sent my DS-230 on nov 24th. but we were in AP so it took longer. generally it take ~10 to 15 days. good luck.
