Shaking my darn head. I don't care for drama queens.
-
probably not but if someone pi$$es in the IO's proverbial cornflakes that day and they choose to make an issue out of it - why be caught?
The VJ rules are that we should recommend following procedure, as tiresome as that is.

Congratulations!!! I guess your name says it all... Last Survivor...

WTH!!! Sneak in address??? It's really not that serious.
-
I moved to this apartment I am currently in like 6 months ago, will they penalized me for sending it late or anything like that? Do they ask you in the naturalization interview if the applicant has change the address or not since last move. If not, then do they deny the application.
When you apply for your N400, just use your current address at your new apartment that you moved into 6 months ago. End of story!!! You dont have to do anything or divulge any thing... UNLESS they ask you, then you be honest about it...

Personally I don't think it's that serious. I did NOT do a change of address when I moved. This was during my Removal Of Condions. All I did was use my current address, which was after I moved. It was never an issue. I was never penalized. It did NOT come up at my citizenship interview. But that's just my experience...

Thanks AlmaD. It was a good experience
I will wait for your phone call JA Tam. Am planning to go JA soon, before the month ends. I will let u know.

All of 3 weeks!!! Cho!!! Your hubby is Wednesday? I can't wait to hear about it. You should ask them what happened last week.

You won't lose your money. Stop being nervous & gain some confidence. Study your civics test, answer your questions without divulging more than you need to and you will come out of your interview smiling from ear to ear, wondering why you were nervous in the first place.

Are you asking me how does it feel to be a US Citizen and to have a US Passport? If that's your question, then it's a wonderful and awesome feeling. A long journey of not knowing what to expect but the rewards of the experience makes it all worth the wait. I am proud to be an American, I can't be President but wasn't planning to anyway.

IRS Tax Transcripts is what you need for the last 3 years (if you are filing based on marriage to USC). Call IRS to fax or mailed to you.
Take original marriage certificate (one u got when just married) and also a copy.
USCIS cannot & will not take your passport. They just need to see it to verify your travel dates out of the country. As far as dual citizenship, make sure YOU DO NOT bring this up to the Immigration Officer. Your application asks if you will give up loyalty to other countries, am sure you checked YES. All you have to do is keep your other passport, and use it for entry to your country if you like.

I am sorry, I don't understand your question.
-
My IO only wanted to see my passports for the last 3 years. But they are different and require different things. Don't worry too much about it.

Do not waste your money & apply for travel documents. Adjustment of Status takes about 3 - 6 months. You have been here for 2 years, a few more months won't hurt. Yes, now that you are here, you will have no problems adjusting. You will be fine as long as you stay incognito. Now get the process going!!! Lol.

I did go to the Oath Ceremony and received it. However, I used it to get my US Passport, but they don't return it to you in the same envelope.

Received my Naturalisation Certificate in the mail on Saturday, March 5. I just need to register to vote & update info @ Social Security office. Jamaica here I come.
-
I applied (expedited) 2/22 & received it on 3/3. Took 9 days. Status still shows it is processing.
-
Congrats Htslogistics-John.
I applied & expedited my US Passport on February 22 and received it on March 3, - 9 days... Yeah!!! Oh what a feeling!!!
-
Send copies, take original to interview.

I think u can stop going to the USCIS website now. I had my interview in January, oath in February, my update still shows testing & interview, last update on December 2. All you can do is wait, unfortunately. If 30 days pass, then make an infopass appointment. You are almost to the finish line. Hang in there and I wish you get your oath date sooner than later.

Date on green card.

Standard letter that almost everybody gets. In a few days your wife will get the Interview Letter with date, time & location and what to bring to the interview.
-
Mine still says Testing & Interview and I had interview & oath already. As JA Tam says, do not be concerned with the online updates, it only drives you crazy... I think it helps up to when it changes to Testing & Interview and that it let's u know your interview letter is on it's way. Once you get it, then it's useless after that in my opinion.

YES - Married Filing Jointly & Injured Spouse
YES - it matters if you want your refund, and do NOT want Uncle Sam to keep it and apply it to your husband's debt.
How to disclose traffic violations on N-400
in US Citizenship General Discussion

My interpretation of it... not to disclose if it was under $500. So I did not disclose my tickets. IO asked me, I said it was under $500, he asked if it was just speeding ticket and I said yes, and he moved on.
