    Thanks, will i not have any problems if i change my name in my passport now seen as i have finished all the paparwork for the CR1 and they have a photo copy of my passport now with my maiden name in it? Im also not sure if my marriage will be reconised here in germany or if im going to have to do a butt load of paperwork with an appostile and stuff as we got married in america.

    I thought about to change my passport to my married name too, but DO NOT FORGET that ALL forms you/we sent to USCIS and NVC were filed out in your single name, what can happend during the interview if you showd up with diffent passport info?? They can hold your passport and ask you re-filed out all forms with the correction under your married name and delay everything anyway...that is why I´ll do the changes in USA, I really don´t mind to wait another time since I´ll be there, it´s bad to pay another 300 bucks in fees but that will be the price for my mistake.

    Hello there!

    I´ll try to help you ´cause I had the same doubt. All my docs with my single name, so when I arrive in USA, I´ll apply SSN CARD with my married name, using my Marriage Licence, only after I get my SSN with my new name I´ll be able to apply to change the Green Card´s name. Hope this can help you.

    I found the form I-90 on USCIS and I also asked one lawyer about.

    The fee for this application is $290.

    Hello My friend!! Welcome here!

    To me you can do this by yourself, visit "EXAMPLE FORMS" - "GUIDES" and you can always ask here, for sure somebody will give you some advice...Believe-me!! You can go under USCIS.COM website and find the forms and explanation as how to fill out.

    I´m telling you those things ´cause We(My hubby & I) Hired a lawyer that just Fu..us...He started our process back 03/2008 and now I´m near to get my interview date, because they lost our docs., filled out forms with wrong information e blablaba...and just delay our entire process in 2 years...Unfortunately, that time I had no idea about VJ, only when I got here I notice that my process was been messed up by that jerks.Take a time, read, you are able don´t worry...most couples here use to do By themselves... So many others had problems with lawyers.

    Hello there, just trying to help you Ok?

    When she have her interview at her country I think she can be interviewed in her language, here in Brazil they use to ask us if we want to be interviewed in english or portuguese, but I don't know about the port of entry in USA, if she could be interviewed in her native language. Maybe some indonesian that is already in USA can stop by here and give you a better advise.

    I'm sure you can be with her at the interview.

    Hello My Dear friend...Calm down, your are there a short period of time, give time to yourself to adjust.

    I´ll try to help you as much as I can, since you have internet at home you can search and study from it.

    Use this USA WEBSITE, to me its just GREAT, you can have english classes since begginers until advance, audio/write/listening, get ready!!! Put your head up, you are there already, so many of us would like to be in your position, I tottaly understand you are missing your country (homesick), but soon you´ll see that you can and will be happy in USA either.
