    7) Copy of Passport (Petitioner)

    8) Letter Certifying Intent to Marry (Petitioner and Benefiaciry)

    9) Proof of having met in person in the past two year

    Hope that answers your question.

  3. hi caveman_robot!!! No need to be worried.. even me, i still didnt received anything from manila USembassy, as i know it would take long before i received anything from them coz my town is quite remote(far from manila).. You got your NVC letter 3 days ahead from ours.. My fiance called manila embassy 1 week after we received the NVC letter however, they told my fiance to call back after a week as they only received the electronic copy of our case forwarded by the NVC. Feb 8, my fiance called manila embassy and be able to set my interview on march 10. It was our preference date as it will give us time to compile/ prepare needed documents for my interview(though i already had my documents prepared last december and my fiance's documents has been sent through UPS and im waiting for it to arrive here by tomorrow). I decided also to have my medical ahead of time from my interview, and i thank God everything went well with my medical exam last feb 9& 10.

You can call manila embassy and ask them if they already receive your case( i'm pretty sure it's already in their system).. You can also let your fiance have her medical as well. :)

    GOD BLESS!!! :)

Did your fiance call the appointment line? -- Since my fiancee does not have a post paid phone line, I will be the one calling the US Embassy from here in the US... don't want to spend $18 for the PIN if they'll jull tell me that i have to call them back after a week or so...

    Thanks!

  4. We recied our letter from NVC 22 Jan 10 and my fiancee hasn't recieved anything from the embassy in Manila. Should we be worried?

The only thing that the US emabassy is going to send your fiancee is a notification that your fiancee is eligible to schedule an interview. This is not an actual appointment letter as you will need to call them to schedule an appointment. Refer to this link for more information -- the requirements and how to schedule an interview is found here: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwfk1en.pdf

For the medical exam, all you need is a copy of both the NOA2 and NVC letter. For a complete walkthrough of the medical exam, here's a thread that NinJones posted in the Philippine Regional forum: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=221658

  5. AIR21 ARRIVED!!! VISA OF SOPHIA ARRIVE YIPEE !!!=] THANK YOU LORD-- 1 DAY PROCESS ONLY THATS SOO FAST YAY SOO EXCITED!!

    That's great news! CONGRATULATIONS!

And WOW!!! - 2 day AIR21 turn around is pretty impressive! i was wondering, does she live in close proximity to the US embassy?

  6. wow...im so happy...i got my visa today. feb 03,2010 interview

    flight on feb 14 2010...

excited coz we will celebrate valentines day together....

CONGRATULATIONS! So happy for you guys! (and at the same time envious, i guess...)

Best of luck to you guys and on the rest of your journey together!

  7. Called NVC today and they said they received the stuff from USCIS on Friday, but it was still in the "additional processing" stage, whatever that's supposed to mean. Anybody else get that as a status when they called? Seems like this thing just gets delayed and delayed. How annoying!

When I called NVC on Monday (Feb 8) @ 2:30pm PST, they told me my case is still "under review..." I called again on Tuesday (Feb 9) @ 2:45pm PST and they said they just shipped it... I'm sure they'll be shipping yours soon... when did they receive your package?

  8. which is better to sell car or just transport it ? To the state your transferring to .. tips ? advices please?

My brother-in-law is moving back to the PI. He just shipped his car to his sister in new jersey (from california). That cost him about $800.

  9. Do I send a copy or the original of the NOA2 to my fiancee?I read she can do the medical early with that and the MNL#.Also is it fine if she also start collecting the NBI and other papars. What do she need to get her police clearence?

your fiancee can take the medical exam with a copy of BOTH the NOA2 and the NVC letter. Yes, you should have her start getting the NBI clearance, CENOMAR, birth certificate and applicable police records if she stayed 6 months or longer in a diff country.

    hope that helps.

  10. You don't "HAVE" to call NVC. They will send you a hard copy letter saying when they mailed out your package to your consulate. I called just because I wanted to know when they mailed my package so I could "guess when it arrived" based on the dhl.com website. You can wait. No big deal. Then wait for the consulate to contact you with packet 3 (if your consulate has one).

Yeah, there's really no need to call the NVC. But since I can't help it, I DID! LOL!

They told me they shipped my package today. Fortunately, there's only 1 shipped package going to Manila that left the NVC facility today (based on the DHL website) so i'm pretty confident that's mine... regardless, DHL.com will be my favorite website (after VJ, of course) until that package arrives in Manila! LOL!

  11. Hello my fellow octoberians!!!

I would like to Congratulate to all who got their NOA2"s... :)

Anyway, my fiance just called Manila embassy about an hour ago to set my inteview. My interview will be on March 10, 2010 at 7:00 AM.. yay!!!:)

Last week i booked my flight in going to manila and tomorrow afternoon will be leaving here in our town together with my brother.. Hope and pray for a successful medical exam... :)

    GOD BLESS!!! :)

Congratulations on receiving your interview date.

Quick question though, did you schedule March 10 because of preference? or is that the earliest available interview date? I was just wondering so I can have a better idea/estimate on when our interview date would be... Thanks.

Good luck and i hope everything goes smoothly!
