  1. GAH! Yah, I agree. It was one of the reasons I was going to include the original IV coversheet with my RFE today, but EFF it. Its there. And someone will have to get our stuff where it needs to go.

So, my husband went on his own to get up to date on his immunizations so we dont get stuck paying for them at his medical exam which could cost a mint. They told him that the Hepatitis B shot for adults is administered in four seperate doses, which is carriecd out in a 4 month span  EH?? I hope this doesnt preclude him from getting his visa. Now another whole set of junk to worry about! He got poked in both arms and both "cheeks" poor thing...

Check out the CDC website, the guidelines only require that the applicant be given the first dose of a mulitiple shot vaccination if they are missing it, they can only recommend that they follow-up with the remaining doses after arriving in America.

  2. morning all!

hopefully there will be some sign in failed todayyyyyyyyyyyy!!!

so husband took his medical today...yay! london - you can take it early. they are going to send it to the embassy though and they won't have his case yet. do you think there will be any problems?????

When I talked to the Embassy in Frankfurt yesterday, they said if they get the medical results before they receive the case they will establish a temporary file until the case arrives then merge the two folders. She said they might cause some confusion, but she said it isn't a reason not to do it early. I can only assume that London handles it in the same way.

  3. He had his interview. They said they want me to hand write a letter saying that im not required to file for faxes and send it VIA aramex. And that after we send it no longer then 2 weeks, and thats they will do a routin Review they will call my husband to send his passort via Aramex and they will give him the visa.

They looked at all the pictures and he answered everything. The lady told him

"You have everything i dont know why this guy whants you to send this letter, but just let her send it."

Im so depressed. :crying: We sent everything, we had everything that could have asked for!

Congrats! At least you just have to send one last thing and he'll get the visa.

  4. You are free to do the medical exam once you get the letter of appointment. You don't have to wait until a few days before your appointment. Just make sure that the validity of the medical report doesn't expire before your interview. If it does expire, they will temporarily deny your visa application on the condition that you turn in a valid medical report to them (the consulate).

The medical exam is good for 6 months in Germany so we don't have to worry about it expiring. We have not yet received "case complete" from the NVC, but representative at the consulate said that she could go to her medical exam now if she wants to.

  5. WAHOO!!! Well finally got the sign in fail!!!

    Sign In Failed

Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please click on the Contact the NVC hyperlink if you believe that you have received this message in error.

I havent checked the AVR again since I tried to sign on. I will in a few. I could still sign on this morning before I left for work and I was just able to try now and I checked it twice to make sure. Hopefully our stuff is on the way to Manila now.

    Congrats!!!!! That's so cool!!

  6. Wow, great news, I got through to a SUPER nice lady at the Consulate in Frankfurt (they only answer questions Tues and Thurs from 2pm-4pm...) She said it's no problem if my wife has her interview ahead of them getting our paperwork, the only confusion that could arise is that they'll start a temporary file for the medical, then have to combine it with the file that they create when her documents show up from the NVC.

I then asked her how April was looking for interviews, she told me that they haven't scheduled any April interviews as this is one of the slowest parts of the year and the whole month is wide open. I'm praying for case complete this week and an April interview.

CORRECTION!: I meant she can take her Medical exam early, not her interview.

  8. I called the AVR today and they said that they have received the "checklist items and are reviewing them", if you remember, we got the false RFE for the DS-230. This must mean that they are reviewing our DS-230 as of 3/13. I'm so excited!

On a side note, if you thought it was tough getting through to the NVC, try calling the consulate, I had to call 3 times and talk to 2 different receptionist before one told me the specific time to call, otherwise they just send you do dead end extensions with messages that say to hang up and call back later.

  9. We're waiting for case complete from the NVC and looking forward to the rest of the process in Frankfurt. My wife would like to get the medical exam out of the way, and from what I've read on the embassy page it looks like a person can walk-in for the medical at anytime. Will it cause confusion if the consulate hasn't received our case yet and she completes the medical exam? They clearly state that the records can't be more than 6 months old, so that gives us a lot of time.

  10. incredible! so you just download the forms and take it to the embassy doctor? I need to find out if the allow walk-ins in Aruba. Just one more thing to get out the way.

From the website I didn't find that she has to bring any forms. She needs to bring her vaccination records, and some other background information, 3 pictures, and the 150 euro fee. It sounds like they handle the rest. She called to make the appointment and they just asked which country she needed the exam for, she said USA and they said "okay".

  11.

Guys, what's happening to us? I'm losing it!! Getting insane!

Hubby is so confident and says it will happen when happens! I'm sooo jealous he feels that way!

How about your hubbys/wifes? Are they as crazy as you or they are still holding up pretty well?

My wife has been calm and patient so far. But now she's realizing that the pressure is off of me and on her. She's already began getting things ready for the medical (records and such). I can tell she's nervous about everything, but I'm trying to reassure her that everything will work out fine.

  12. What the AVR messages mean-->

    Is what I heard.

  13. M&ME--What does it say EXACTLY? Your AOS was sent not too long ago--could possibly be for that. I'd check again and make sure it is a false RFE.

When I talked to an operator on 3/4 they had gotten my AOS and were reviewing it. My DS-230 was just signed for Wednesday of this week.

I pushed 0 and have been on hold since then... HAHA, when they return to the line I'll let them know how they can assist me, afterall, they know my time is valuable, and they appreciate me holding, assistance is only a moment away. Due to the personal attention they give every caller, I may be experiencing a brief delay. My call is very important to them and they look forward to speaking with me... LOL.

  14. Hi everyone,

Hopefully there are lots of log in fails today!!:thumbs::thumbs:

I have a question. the AVR used to say waiting for the biographic forms from the beneficiary - this morning when i called it says "waiting for biographic forms from the petitioner" - any ideas as to what this means????

It means they're waiting for your DS-230, which is probably still in the mailroom.

I just called AVR and they said that they've reviewed our documents and they've found items missing or incomplete. I sure hope this is that "false RFE" that people talk about.
