We didn't use any fancy folders or dividers. We have a coverletter with a table of contents. I figure that they look at thousands and thousands of these petitions, I doubt that we're presenting anything they haven't seen before.

Hi Everybody! Good to be back. Finally getting ready to send our package out tomorrow. I'm glad to see so many familiar faces.
What's the best way to send it, USPS priority with a green return card? (I don't know if they let you do both) Or just buy the tracking number?

When we got married, we got copies of the Marriage Certificate in German and International Copies. By extract, do you mean the International Marriage Certificate? I submitted only an original International Marriage Certificate. But I believe that only copies are required, and they do not forward original documents to the NVC. so you'll have to send another original to the NVC as well.
Along with the International Marriage Certificate, I sent an explaination that it is an Official Original document signed and stamped by the Standesamt. I did this because another VJer got his International Certificate rejected, initially, for not including this statement.
Please let me know if you have any questions about this.
Thanks,
Matt

Tina received her GC today in the mail. It was wonderful. Let's see, that would be 53 days since POE give or take. I hope your Welcome letter comes soon. It's funny, the GC comes in a blank white envelope. Don't throw it away, it's not junk mail.
-
I guess you could call it a welcome letter. It says "welcome" on it, LOL. It looks just like the NOA we got from the USCIS back at the beginning and says they received the documents that she gave them at POE. And that we will hear something within 30 days.
We applied at the SS office to change her last name and get the restrictions removed from her card, and her new card showed up about a week later. Lucky for Tina, Wisconsin has receprocity with Germany, so Driver's License was a breeze. Paid the fee, got her picture taken, and it showed up about a week later as well.

My wife got her SSC about a week after applying in person. We just got an NOA for the GC, saying that they have rec'd her info and we'll hear something within 30 days. She got here 4/30.
-
Have you received your Green Card or NOA? We've received our NOA, but no GC yet. It took 3 weeks to get the NOA. She has her SSC and DL, but we got those on our own. Just curious how its going for you.
Cheers!
