  1. Hi everyone! I have recently been in the dilemma of how to do my report of marriage and renewal of passport. Here is my story: My husband and I were married in Guam where he was stationed (we have a guam marriage certificate)...4 months later we left and relocated to Reno, Nevada. My question is...where do I report my marriage? Is it to Guam Consulate or the San Francisco consulate( which is the one closest to us now). Also, where do I renew my passport? I hope someone can help me please I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance! =)

  2. My husband was so amazed when we were in the Philippines and I was driving. He said that there are no rules there and its so hard to drive (f0r him). Actually I find it harder to drive here because of all the signs and rules you have to follow like the lane change, yield, stop (you really have to stop if its a stop sign..it doesn't matter if there's no one at the intersection)..LOL. Believe it or not, I'm more nervous to drive here than in the Philippines...and I don't know why. I would say that it's harder when you're used to driving there already. I guess it's true what they say that the traffic rules in the PI is just merely "suggestions"...no one really follows them there..LOL :bonk:

  3. I just got my I-693 transcibed. It was pretty much smooth, no hassle. In and out in 5 minutes and the staff are really nice. Cost is $35 dollars for transcription. Recommend it to anyone in the Reno, Nevada area.

  4. HI guys!

I think my medical will expire in May 2010. I guess it really doesn't hurt to have one. Because of all the moving, our file went from Guam to Atlanta to Reno (where we are now). So it basically transferred while we were moving. That's why it took almost 8 months for our AOS interview. I still don't have EAD or AP that's why I don't have SSN. I hope the IO will be more considerate of us since we are only living 3 months in this new house of ours. I really appreciate your reply. Thank you for all the help. =)

  5. Hi everybody! I hope someone can help me with my dilemma. We are currently in the AOS process and will be having an interview this April 27, 2010. I submitted my AOS without the I-693 medical form. I didn't receive any RFEs for it and the interview letter didn't mention to bring it with me to the interview. My question is...should I still go to a civil surgeon and do the I-693 or just take the risk and go to the interview without it? Will they look for it on the interview?

My second question is..we don't have any pictures when we got married. It was just a civil wedding at the courthouse and it was just me, my husband, the judge and the two witnesses that we don't even know (I think they were court employees). My husband was stationed in Guam so neither his or my parents could attend the wedding and none of his friends went because it was a work day and none of them could leave work. We are planning on a big wedding in my home town this year though. Will this be a big issue with the interviewer?

We also don't have any bills together because I still don't have SSN because the USCIS screwed up (we moved 3 times this past 8 months). We only have a house lease (utilities are included with the house), life insurance and health insurance under our name. Will this be enough?

I hope you can help me with my questions. Thanks in advance! =)

  6. Hi...thank you for all your help..yes we have called the military helpline but they can't say anything other than reading what is on their computer screen. We called the senator's office yesterday..hopefully they will be able to help us...We also found out that I got denied on October 14 2009 but then they reopened it on November 11...Why would they deny it when I only got the biometrics on Sept 17..are they that fast?? I really don't know what USCIS is doing but I am pretty sure they screwed it all up...Hoping for the senator's help on our case...

  7. Yes we did all the AR-11 stuff and we have proofs of that. The only thing I'm really frustrated about is that we made an infopass just this January and they didn't mention anything about the denial. I talked to an officer at USCIS helpline just this month and he didn't say anything about the denial too. If this was denied last November wouldn't it have appeared on their system? I didn't get any letters from them..I did not even receive any denial letter..that why I was shocked to hear this just this afternoon. They are so screwed up! I was patiently waiting all the while I was denied and I didnt even know it!! Will I be deported? Can I get the refund for the money that we sent? OMG hiring an attorney at my expense while it was their mistake? I hate USCIS!!!!

  8. Hi all..I really need your help.. I don't know what's wrong with my case..

Im here in the US on a K1 visa..we got married July 2009 and sent the AOS August 21, 2009. Had my biometrics September 17, 2009.

During that time we moved twice (since my husband is in the military). I have been waiting for my EAD since. I made several calls to USCIS and they said to wait for 60 days since they sent a service request. After that, we made an infopass and they said to wait for another 30 more days. So we waited...but nothing happened. We never received anything after my biometrics. This afternoon I called the USCIS hotline again and talked to an officer. They said that my AOS was denied on November 11, 2009. I was freaking out because all this time we have been waiting for my EAD and all this time we have been calling the USCIS and they never mentioned that I was denied???? I don't believe this! I am so frustrated and I don't know what to do. If anyone can help me on what to do..should I get an attorney? Will I be deported?? OMG! :crying:
