  1. Just a few questions I am a student in school now i work part time with the income requirements for a fiancee visa i get veteran benefits for being a dependent of a veteran so that is what covers my rent and stuff do they look down upon that. also when i first send off paperwork for the k1 visa what do i need to include and how much do i have to send off to get the first noa

you need your birth certificate or copy of your passport . letter of intent from both of you . g325 for both of you passport size photos to accompany the g325 form i129f form i included pictures of us and his itinerary from his flight here, his paystub those items being our prook of having met in person to double check go to guides and click on k1

thanx also what could be easier my mom is paying for our wedding but is very on the fence about him she dont wanna fly to ja with me to meet him is a tourist visa ok and how long does that usually take to get approved if he only gonna be here for like a few weeks btw since he dont work and i do i thought it would be easier so at least i would not have to take the time off and that could be the proof of having seen each other in 2 years

  2. Hey everyone just to let everyone know i will be fare watching for the next few weeks so if you need to find low airfare let me know.

by the way spiritair has a sale for $9 each way (selected countries for $9 fare club members and specific dates) and from $33.90 each way check it out! www.spiritair.com

Spirit would have to PAY me to fly them to JA again

yeah i hard that they were really bad cuz trust me with those "cheap flights" i have thought about it but my fiance couldnt say no fast enough

  3. thats cool i mean i am goin to school to be an immigration lawyer so this is jus like class ya kno but its good that you dont absolutely need a lawyer for this stuff. btw saw some cheap flights to kingston gonna surprise the bf for his birthday in october any nice CHEAP hotels in kingston for about 3 days

Search for the 'survival guide' in our Caribbean thread....there is a list of hotels other yardies have used & recommended. You can probably find a decent hotel for around $70-80 a night. I only stayed at Hotel Sandhurst but it was a good experience & reasonably priced.

Good night Yardies! Have a great weekend!

thanks alot for the info i like this website it is very insightful

  4. so lost so i definetly need some direction. I met my man in 2007 when he came up on work visa (this was his 2nd year) He left to go back to Jamaica so he could be with his son we took a "break" because i could not handle the distance but still talked every now then (when my phone bill was not gettin shut off for obsessive international calls) July 9th 2009 he proposed but i have not seen him since october of 2007 finances are keeping me from going to visit him and plus i am in school. What are my chances of getting him approved on the fiance visa im thinking of filing for him in like october or november so i can save the money for all the fees I have phone records for him calling me and me calling him im just so lost and hope that he gets approved because i miss him and can't wait to start planning our wedding

  5. I am new to the site and I live in NY my fiance lives in Jamaica I have heard stories that it will take longer for him to get up on a fiance visa because of the country he lives in. Let me tell you a little about our relationship we met in July 2007 he was my house mate when i was working in Easthampton for the summer we instantly connected. He was up on a work visa his 2nd year. He left to go back to Jamaica so he could be with his son. And because of the economy the government is not approving alot of work visas so we are trying for the fiance visa. the 2 year period has passed because i was having financail issues so i couldnt afford the trip out there. just looking for anyone who is going through the process in Jamaica or has gone through the process recently in Jamaica for some advice and comforting words
