  1. The streams we we're able to utilize were quite variable; the last few rounds were severely choppy. However, PPV was not an option and we got to follow along well enough.

    Haven't heard much else.

    We really appreciate the links!

Was hoping to see that cheat Margarito laid out cold but the messy face was fine consolation. Manny again has made a win for himself and for the people of the Philippines!

  2. well.. I have NO personal experience with this clinic. But, I txted my cousin, who is an MD and works for the Oregon Health Dept. she recommended this place apparently she went to med school with one of the Docs there.

    The Portland Clinic

    800 SW 13th Avenue, Portland, OR 97205

    (503) 221-0161

Called them today - they have several CS on staff - they said they would not do a "partial exam" or just transcribe from DS3025 to form I-693 and certify. Prices mentioned were maybe $80 but likely $150 minimum here and elsewhere. $150 -$200 to $600-$800 were the prices quoted. I heard this from several CS offices around Portland. Another CS office did not know what Civil Surgeon was and had to go ask.... I then searched and found this thread....

Yes,Yesterday my wife and I went to our interview for her adjustment of status and we had everything except her vacinnes records. It is called a I693. We live in Junction city and we were in Portland. We decided to try and get it taken care of right away. We totally got lucky and called this doctor that got us right in and took care of our paperwork personally right away. He is in travel medicine and he is listed in the USCIS for acceptable doctors. He saved us 30-45 day delay in my wifes Green card. His name is Al Torres M.D. ph# 503-224-0103 if no answer call 503-223-3181 . address is 2220 NW pettygrove st. portland ,OR. 97210. If you go see Him tell him Pilar from Ecuador says Hi!! ..Oh and he only charged us $ 20.00 . The person that the other person listed does not do partial exams like just the vaccine sheet so dont bother calling

Thanks Zee21! Called and they were - "Oh, must be for a K1 Visa. We do that on a walk in basis, its $15!" We headed right there and they were absolutely swamped, the waiting room was packed with faces from around the world. Its a travel clinic too. We got what we needed and it was by the end at least an hour beyond their posted office hours. Dr Torres seemed to speak multiple languages greeting folks in their own tongue. I had called earlier, as it is very near our home, but received a recording that didn't seem too promising. After seeing this thread I called back and had a person answer. $15 - just what the doctor ordered.

  3. In mid-2009 we mailed a small package from interior Mindanao to Portland, Oregon via Philippine post office. Just to be cheap - instead of using FedEx (Air21)... After several weeks we gave up hope and figured it had been plundered. After a few months totally forgot about it. Nearly 5 months later it arrived in Portland in perfect condition, sealed with no indication as to cause of delay! Was a huge surprise to say the least.

I figure it just sat there at the post office Philippine style - like waiting for a jeepney to fill up before heading out... :D

  5. Wow.. congrats.. 4 months only how'd ya do it ? hehe..

I can't wait till I can say my girl is on the way also..

How? Diligent use of all the information available on VJ!

Frontloaded I-129F; Attention to detail - blah blah blah - maybe just lucky?

    Thanks everyone!

    Just under two hours now...

Iris had a layover at Narita but did not realize the time change; we spoke briefly and discovered she had to rush to the gate -

    we're so excited!

  6. Iris is from Mindanao too. Born in Davao City and grew up in Bislig then off to Marawi, to Illigan, to Davao, and has been in Maramag Bukidnon for the past few years... She just did a full circle around the island wrapping things up and visiting. She's leaving Davao tomorrow for Manila and will be here in my arms in Portland Wednesday! We are both very excited and I am very happy my bachelor days are nearly over - Iris is my dream girl come true. We will be cooking Thanksgiving dinner for two at home. Well, that's one of things we are looking forward to...

  7. Does anyone know what shipping company the US embassy used to ship the packets to the fiancee? I really hope they don't go through the main postal service in the Philippines. They are slow!

USEM uses Air21, for both the letter prior to interview, and for sending passport w/visa to beneficiary. Air 21 is the Philippine contractor for FedEx. We have used them several times now without the slightest delay or problem.

For the delivery of Iris's visa she was able to fill out an authorization form provided by Air21 on interview day to have someone else pick up the visa package at Air21's office in Davao City. This also required the other person to have one of Iris' ID cards. Logistically - this helped greatly. Their first delivery attempt in Davao City was 2 days after receiving visa from USEM. USEM took 5 days to issue the visa after the interview.

  8. The US Visa Information Service call center opens at 4pm Pacific time Sunday evening, 0800 in Manila. Make sure to have the MNL#, and the following information for both the petitioner and beneficiary: DOB, mailing address used on I-129F, email address, phone number. You can use the service to update addresses also. Ask for an email confirmation for interview schedule which will be used to gain entry to the USEM on interview date. Good luck!

  9. let's not be trying to play matchmaker with your relatives in this thread, vj isn't a dating service. keep replies constructive towards the topic.

    Why not Charles....????

There are some good PLUMBERS out of work here.....:devil::whistle::whistle:

Maybe gotta back up the mod.

Purely hypothetical.... Maybe that's BS and I saw the post? Maybe the offending post was full of comments that were nothing but rude, downright trash. Maybe it would take a total moron to read Jasman's post and think a reply dissing him and dissing Claudeth would be appropriate... Just maybe the emoticons used did not even seem to suggest said individual had any intent toward joking; maybe it simply suggested moron. Poor Filipina SO! Hopefully she finds VJ and maybe gets a clue. Oh, did I call the offending poster a moron? Maybe that's an understatement. Even a plumber would know better.... :jest:

    This is totally funny.....

Why are you people picking on me for ...... :crying:

I even darn HIGHLIGHTED the part that my humor was about.....

lLet's not be trying to play matchmaker with your relatives in this thread, vj isn't a dating service.

The humor part was meant that

"if someone want to match me with someone else" go right ahead since I am out of work .....if you understand what it is underling meaning of it....

I have no idea what was removed because I cannot see anymore.....but i can tell you IT WAS NOT my post....

Charles is doing his job as MOD.... he can remove anything as he wishes, including mine if he thinks that may be something inappropriate....

It no wonder why most of us are not POSTING anymore.....you all ready to jump on someone like a pack of wolves....

While other members post IDIOTIC comments, IDIOTIC pictures and MORONIC nonsense....be fair and pick on the other members too... for GOD sake.

    What am I saying?.....

LIFE is not FAIR...why this forum should be any different.....:rofl:

 My bad. For all eternity - let it be known - it absolutely was not a post by eros_EX_Plumber that was moderated! Well, not in this thread at least! Seriously! Really it wasn't... The intended joke was that even plumbers know better than to post such an offending post. How offending was it? Well, so offending even a plumber would know better! Its like deja vu all over again...:rofl:

  10. Here's some links to familiarize yourself with. It would take hours to answer your questions about this phase in explicit detail.

You can search the Philippine Forum with terms like NOA2, Interview, USEM, CFO, medical, St Luke's, and find tons of information.

    Happy reading and good luck!
