  1. happy to hear your good news, so is it true that if you don't receive a news or phone call from them(SLEC) the result is NEGATIVE? because I'm so very nervous right now. I hope the time will be fast so that I will know the result now. :| and hopefully like you my result is negative :)

    Hi!

I'd like to share my experienced it might help you all. I'm from the Philippines. I've been here in the US since 2004 and a US Naturalized since 2009.

I was a fiancee visa and during my medical exam I had a problem due to my x-ray showed something suspicious. I had to have a 3 sputum test that I hated so much. I was like feeling terrible and scared at that moment. And thank God it was negative. The Doctor said it was negative but the x-ray was showing cloudy and I had some symptoms also so I just went ahead and started taking the medications. And my interview was scheduled after 2 weeks of my medical exam. Although I was still on the process of my treatment, I had my interviewed in two weeks. They did not tell me that I couldn't come over here or anything. They were kinda happy because I was in treatment and so I've waited and waited until the SLEC decided that I was good and surprisingly US Embassy called me that was almost 1 1/2 months of my treatment and asking "when can I leave?" and I was so happy and I said anytime. So the officer told me to pick up my visa. My visa had 1 week due after I received it but that was like I won a lottery. I did not care! lol..that was Thank God! The reason why they asked me when can I leave was because if I could not be able I had to have the sputum test again. I went home to my city for a week and had my two weeks treatment with me until I arrived in the US. When you arrived in the US, you need to go to your Department of Health and they'll give your treatment at home daily. I took my treatment sept-july. So if it's negative and they want you to take the treatment do it ASAP because time is fast and you won't tell it's already there. And they'll give you the visa.

so I hope this will help you all...if you have a question don't hesitate..I am happy to share and help!

    Hi!

just wondering, who are you petitioning? husband/wife or children below 21? I was just concerned about my brother. He's turning 21 on October and my mother just filed for him last dec'10,f2a. I am hoping we'll get an approval soon and I don't know what to do next though since he's gonna be 21 soon? thank you!

  4. Thank You very much ............... She is from Bacolod ............ how many times will she have to fly to Manila ( she says birds have wings I don't ) Looks like about two times ............. Once for the medical and once for the interview ?

Thanks so much for any and all help.

Hopes she gets here in the warmer weather 19 below 0 here this a.m.

We're from General Santos City,Mindanao. Either way. If it's not during the holidays. You can send her 10 days before her interview. There's a close lodge to stay and so cheap by St. Luke.Or you can send her twice once you received the interview schedule she can go right away.I am pretty sure she gets her before winter. Just make sure all her requirements for NVC is gathered together. So when that time comes you'll send it to them right away and keep calling the NVC. I have my timeline attached.

  5. I should of said she will be a citizen soon ........................ just trying to get my ducks in order

It's just easy as soon as you started filing the I-130 and just follow all the instructions. Make sure fill up the I-130 properly and correctly. And once you're in NVC it's much easier too. When you're in the process you can check out the forum in here. I'll try to find and send it to you. I'd followed that and it helps me alot. My Mother is here, she arrived feb'2010. and my father is coming next month. If you have more questions let me know.Good Luck!

  6. Thank you all for your suggestions!!! I already got a ticket for my daughter and it's way cheaper than the others!!!

Let me know if you want to know the travel agency that I got :)

  7. Hi, i had this issue as well and E-mailed the loxbox and this was thier reply to mine:

    "Good Afternoon:

    Thank you for your inquiry.

This petition was rejected because the province information was not entered into the beneficiary’s place of birth information; this is required for all beneficiaries born in the Republic of the Philippines, Mexico and Canada.

You are welcome to resubmit the petition with the full information.

We trust this is helpful to you.

Also, make sure your marriage cert. matches EXACT with the I-130 and the G-325a as far as place of birth.

    Hope this helps! =)

    how to email USCIS? thanks

  8. Hi!

My Mother filed I-130 for my brother but rejected and stated the reason was part c address. They didn't specify. What we had on mind was maybe because my family moved when my Mother was still in the Philippines and their address is different now. I checked my Mother's application when I filed for her and it was different. So I was thinking that might be it. I haven't called the USCIS customer service yet. I don't know if they can help. During my Mother's petitioned I didn't have a problem but now I am confused. How can I change my family's address abroad? Please help!

  9. First, find out who helped your mom apply.

Second, if your mom has photocopies of the entire application packet, take a look at it. How do you know your mom' marriage date/maiden name is wrong unless you have reviewed the application?

Third, Did she have tracking on the packet? Did it reach its destination?

Finally, wait for another week and then call USCIS(but then they may not have much to say without receiving the packet)

thanks for the reply! I petitioned my Mom! I helped her filed for my brother. Yes, reviewed the application afterward. The spelling of her maiden name was wrong and the date was wrong instead of 21 it's 20. Yes, we tracked it and they got it. Until now still didn't hear anything. The check hasn't cash in still.

  10. here's our problem! Filed for Mom and Mom is here last feb'09. Mom filed for my youngest bro(will turn 20) two weeks ago. I found out that my brother's birth certificate has something wrong with it. My Mother's marriage date is wrong and her maiden name is wrong too. I asked my Mother what happened and who filled up the form. And my Mother don't know about it. But the application is sent already. I don't know if we'll hear anything good after that. If they'll ask for more evidence. BTW, The check is not cash in yet. What should we do? please advice!thanks!

  11. Wow, thanks for the information guys! What forms of payment do they accept? So basically, they can just walk-in at St. Lukes, show a copy of the letter from NVC with case# and have their medical exam done on the same day? What about about the results, will they need to come back for it in a couple days?

    Thanks again!

    Kulayblue

My Mother said she paid it in peso..$213.35 multiply to the present peso exchanged. Your parents need to bring 2 photos and they'll ask a questions about how many children do they have and what's their names and b-dates. My Mother said it took her about 4 hours and there just few people there at that moment. She said it's just easy. Just the waiting period when you get the result the next day. So hope this help!

  12. I attend already the CFO seminar but no reservation just come there early for attendance she only need a stamp for her passport... that's it.. no worries about that..

    Hi everybody!

    ATTN: IMMIGRANTS

Well, I got my questions answered. I called several times at CFO Manila and finally got a person. Anyway, I talked to him and made a reservation through the phone. Got the reservation number! Finally! The one that I made though online is useless because the US Immigrants are schedule only AM. That's what I understood because I was trying to get my Mother an afternoon appointment and he said they don't do afternoon for the US. And when you make an appointment through online you have to wait for 3 working days for the confirmation. And get a negative/positive answer because you don't know what dates are available. if you're flexible that's good. Well, it's also good if you're not in hurry. But if you bought your ticket you need to call 5 or more working days before your departure for reservation. Or better before you buy your ticket make sure to give the CFO a call. And also if you live in Mindanao, call is the best way for the reservation.

I also called St Mary and she was nice and she told me only fiancee and spouse or foreign partners are doing the seminar @ St Mary. And I told her I called CFO several times but only the answering machine and nobody's are answering the ext. number. And she said just be patient and better to call than the Online reservation. But anyway, if you want to call please do it after 0900 AM in Manila time. They're open 0800- 1700. I couldn't get hold the PRISM. The phone are not in service I don't know why. But anyway, this information is good for the parents that needs the CFO seminar.

    Good luck everybody!
