OMYGOODNESS... that means to say .... i have to wait longer than that too.. i was approved oct 28. its been almost 4 months.. did your hubby received a letter with case# from NVC though??? it'll be a longer wait now since they just updated the processing date for just a month forward :(

yup hubby received a letter with a case no.from NVC but since then we haven't received anything from them. yeah i know its still going to be a long wait but lets just hope and pray that we can all go through all of this smoothly.

  2. hi everyone! its been a while since i was able to visit this site again and its soooo good to see everyone with different stories and accomplishments! Since i received my approval last July hubby and i didnt recieved anything from the immigration. Its been 7 months since the approval. Now just wondering when can we start receiving papers from them =)

hi mitch! i hope you can still remember me!

  3. HI everyone! I have questions regarding my bro in law's petition. He's PD is May 2005 so he's PD is current now. They received the papers to be submitted and paid the IV last August 19 and that's it. Its October now, he has'nt received anything since then, never had his medical either. What should be the next step this time? Do they need to call NVC or just wait? Any help will be greatly appreciated. thank you! He's preference is F2A.

  4. Thanks you all guys for all the post.Im an LPR filing for my wife who is still in the philippines I filed for her on sept 05 and now were on the process of sending her DS 230.I called NVC because I have a daughter who is 2 yrs old and originally she is not included on the petition NVC said I need to mail her birth certificte so she can be included on the petition. My question is my wife is pregnant right now!does anybody have any idea if I can bring my 2nd baby if she will be born 2 months after the interview?

HI everyone! Called NVC automated voice response system and got my NVC Case Number! Im really happy because little by little I can see that they are really doing something with our petition. I know that this is just the start but im really thrilled to know my new case no.

Hi arttalip! What did NVC told u about your daughter including in the petition? What else did they tell you aside for mailing your child's birth certificate? Any other steps? I have the same situation with you.My daughter is not included in the petition, so maybe you can share a little something from your talk with NVC. Thanks!

  5. i know that... but at least theres that hope and light that your file is not being forgotten after waiting for forever...

...wont you be happy though that a petition was being worked on.... done with step1... at least...

i am just being happy that my patience is paying off a little bit so i would still jump for joy when mine will be approved.

you are right mitch..and im positive that your petition will be approved soon...but uscis is still processing 2006 filers, why is that? I always visit that website before when ours is still not approved, and that website always become my basis.

    it is always updated before..

anyway, Good luck to all of you who's waiting for the approval. Once your petition is approved, you will just wait for a year...just like what happened to us..no worries...all the waiting will be paid off soon...just have to be patient....

As for me, me and my son already completed our medical interview in St.Lukes, thank GOd, no problem at all..we are just waiting for Sept11 to come for our interview..

hi pilya! I am so happy to read that once your petition is approved, you will just need to wait for a year? When did u file your I130 and how many years when it was approved? I need to know, mine was filed June 2007 and was approved July 2009. Does it mean that i only have to wait for a year? Im so excited! Thanks! Ilang taon ang lahat ang hinintay nyo bago kau mainterview? Congrats to u and your family! im so happy for u!

  6. What USCIS Center did you guys apply (the approved I-130 petition dated 2007)? I really want to know. I am getting worried that maybe USCIS somehow someway forgot about I- 130 of year 2006 (since another person who applied the same time with me, the application is still pending). Congrats you guys from 2007

i dont think there is such thing as USCIS is forgetting filed petitions... just bare in mind that it varies every country.... what kind of I130 did you got?? is it from a spouse???

    Mitch,

the I-130 is for spouse F2A - spouse of LPR. I wanted to let you know that USCIS works differently from National Visa Center. The USCIS approves I-130 based on the dates received not based on the country that the LPR spouse is from. The Department of State-National Visa Center that issues every month the Visa Bulletin - gives the the visa numbers based on the country of origin and the annual quota. Plus my country is not that special case (like Mexico or so) should not be waiting time different from the ROW (rest of the world).

From other sources/forums it looks like California center is much more ahead of Vermont Center. Just wanted to see if that was the case here. I think that most I-130 approvals from 2007 are from California, while the Vermont center is insisting on the same date of January 2006. Vermont right now is very slow for the I-130 petitions through spouses.

I guess it varies where the petition was filed. Mine was filed in California service Center. I was filed June of 2007

  7. To kareen,

just wondering! your hubby havent got his citizenship yet right? maybe i was thinking that he updated his petition coz maybe of the naturalization thats why it was this fast... just wanna make sure so everyone here will be excited, be prepared a lil bit...

but yah! you brought excitement to our days.... i hope mine is just around the corner

    To everyone,

isnt that a very good news that it'll take 2 years now to be approve.... that a relief to all of us spouses.....lets all keep on praying!

we all got this..... and dont forget to share any updates.

    @ mitch

My hubby is not yet a citizen. We all have the same feeling and excitement.even if it takes 2 more years or more(hopefully not) to be able to finish this painful process. Let's just all pray that the flow will get faster and smoother. And yah, maybe yours is now on its way to u! goodluck to all of us!

  8. hi kareen, youre a heaven sent!!! you are sending good news for all of the spouses that are trying to be reunited!!! first of all... i petitioned my hubby july 2007 and got the receipt aug 2007... and thats all i have till now.... so you mean to say... you are already approved???? SO IM NEXT IN LINE???? OOOHHH MY GOSSHHH!!!! im like shaking!

    Plss..... GOD help!!!

anyway, youll be able to bring you baby over im sure. you just have to update them when you get those stuff from them and tell them above the addition for the visa.... this category has derivative beneficiary!....

i just cant believe this... and i know you can relate that its very hard to be away from each other...

Hi Mitch! yah, my husband got the approval for i130 last july so yours maybe on its way too... We are pretty surprised to receive the approval this early, we are expecting it next year but thank God its here! Thanks for the info, i really have no plans of leaving my baby girl.I just love her so much...

I really can tell how hard it is to be away from each other, all this sacrifices and pains that this waiting time is giving us. But i just thank God for giving my husband means, so he can go home every 6 months. I wish and pray that we can all be reunited with our loved ones soon!

  9. hi! i am so new to this and i need help. I am a wife of a LPR, i was filed June 2007 and got the approval last July 2009. My husby filed the petition when i was still pregnant, i gave birth July of 2007 and my baby was not included in my i130. Now this what's bothering me. Can i bring my baby with me or we have to file a separate petition for her? Does f2a category have derivative beneficiary? I dont want to leave her if ever. I need your help... thanks!
