  1. and please inform me with onething more, if the petitioner income was less at tax return, and now she is making such good money, that it can reach to $'s 18000 or more than it, if she show her pay stub would they accept my affidavit of support or they wouldnt accept it? from showing her pay stub that yes if she keep making money like that then her next year income will be more than dollars 18000 and they would accept my form and grant me the visa? or they will again ask for joint sponsor?

  2. well if they dont accept the assets outside united states then why they give that option, u know everybody in the united cant afford assets and the everybody will be not rich, how far i know there only person barely pay their house bills caz of so much tax on their income so from where they will make assets and also wat kind of friends and family they have, no body help them to be a joint sponsor, and i have thousands dollars assets here in pakistan and i can change it anytime in money i can sold them i can do anything i want to do with it, i have cars, i have buildings, i have lands some are rainy lands and some are streamy, i have fruits gardens like persimmons and peaches and apples gardens, and u know i cant sold them caz i can afford all my expences easily, monthly and yearly i get alot from them, and also invest them again when some left from my expenses, but i dont want to sold them and move to u.s just for this reason, but here we have talibans problems alot in pakistan and my wife cant stay here in pakistan, caz of shooting and deaths, so for that reason i want to go to u.s to see my wife and see her and spend days with her, and whenever i want to i can come back and take care of my bussiness here, but i guess the u.s visa is not in my luck so if they didnt accept my assets here in pakistan then i will just tell one thing #### it lol

but thank you for such good advice

    hear from u soon

mean that we only have to show them just 18,213 dollars, not more than it? and if the income was less than 18 then i can show assets to meet the minimum income requirements right? if the assets is outside the united state they would accept it ? or the assets would be in the united state?

Technically, if you show them 18'213 exactly that should be enough, but they may be sceptical if you just scrape by. Assets are fine together with income or alone, but must be able to be liquified within a year without undue hardship (for this reason, if you only have one car for example, it probably won;t be accepted, and houses which just make the poverty line are also doubtful due to the bad housing market). When the asset is outside the USA, it is up to the embassy/ CO on the day whether they accept it- some do, some don't. I know in Ireland, they prefer the assets to be in the USA so we transfered out savings account from Ireland to the US before the move (we did the Affidavit of Support on assets only).

You will have a household of 2, and living within the 48 states so according to the poverty guidelimes here: http://travel.state.gov/visa/laws/telegram...grams_4437.html

your wife will need $ 18'213 in income or three times as much in assets.

    thanks

  5. ok thank you it help some but i had some more questions ,

if the petitioner have gifted property here in pakistan i mean at the time of marriage someone gift her a property in the shape of shop, land, or any building can she use that property as her assests and include it in the forms to meet the minimum income? and if that property can be used wat are the requirements how to show that property and evidence that its her property? i mean wat we will have to show that this property is on her name? the stamp paper avialable in the court of pakistan or something else we will have to show?

i need some information about I-864A,

    1) For joint sponsor it can be anyone in the United state? if they are pitetioner relative or appilicant relitive,

    2) if you dont have joint sponsor and the petitioner send the I-864 with the income level that doesnt met the poverty guide lines would they grant the visa for the applicant?

    3) and if the applicant take the I-864A form with the related documents to the time of interview would the accept that form or they would delay my case?

4)and if the petitioner send the same I-864 with low income level would they send me interview and medical letter or they will send back the I-864 to the petitioner,

i hope someone would help me and give me all those questions answer and make away my confusion, caz i dont have joint sponsor and the income level is low than wat they are wanting, and i am confused wat we should do with the I-864 form,

    thanks

1- Joint sponsor can be anyone in the United States, however the primary petitioner has to complete the I-864 form whether they meet the poverty guidelines or not. I-864A is for a joint sponsor in the same household and another I-864 is for a joint sponsor in a different household.

2- They embassy will not grant the visa for someone whose sponsor or petitioner does not meet the poverty guidelines.

3- The applicant will have to take the petitioner I-864 not I-864A and if the guidelines and requirements are met they will accept, if not they will ask for a joint sponsor.

4- You will not be able to go to the interview or medical until the NVC accepts your I-864. It is possible they might accept it even if you dont meet the poverty guidelines, and at the time of interview the CO might ask for additional sponsorship. However, if you know for certain you are not meeting the poverty guidelines, its time you start looking for for another sponsor to jointly file. Your medical will be valid for a year so even after your interview you have time to find a joint sponsor.

    Best of luck to you.
