  1. June 25, 2012, 1302 days, my fiance received a brief letter from the Islamabad Embassy along with his passports saying that our visa petition had expired and was being returned to the USCIS office from which it was originally submitted.

  2. May 30, 2012, 41 months of AP. My Finace is trying to go to a European University. At least then I can visit him in a safer place. Possibly get married and start the process again from a European embassy.

Why dont you ever post in the fiance forum and find others is similar wait times. I never heard years of waiting. Maybe someine can give some good advice

  3. Jan 9, 2012, 37 months in AP. Congressmans aide has stopped helping. Writing to the Senator now. Online lawyer thinks we should get married and start over. How scary to start over after so long. But we have to seriously consider it. Somehow, somewhere we have to be together.

I am also sorry. I pray your AP will be over soon.

  4. July 11, We have spent 32 months in AP and are aparently paying the price for having done something the embassy people do not like. They told my congressman that extended AP is not uncommon. In February my fiance' asked for status and the told him check back in 6 months. I hope that something will start up again in August.

Hello, wow.. thats too long already. 32 months is like 2 years and 8 months... Im under AP too almost 3 months of waiting for good news.

  5. May 23, just another day waiting. I received a letter from my congressman that they will write the Embassy again but this really offers me no hope. They will tell him what they tell me, I am under Administrative Processing a necessary part of the process that can not be sped up. In my opinon after 30 months of AP there is nothing left for them to investigate. They are using time as their meter to determine the reality of our relationship. It is so sad that Hamad and I have to wait. Eventually...

  6. March 31st, wrote to the Embassy and in not so many words were told check back with us in 6 months. This is my fiance's 2nd petition, perhaps all this waiting is because of that. I never imagined it could take so long. 28 months of AP and more in love every day.

  7. March 9th, we got our call to submit passport, submitted passport and other required docs. Documents were reviewed and we were placed back on AP. We had such high hopes, we were so excited, now it is back to the same waiting.

  8. Jan 4th, the embassy finally called to ask for his passport and other documents. Thank God our journey is almost complete.

  9. December 22nd, sent another email to the Embassy to remind them I had a trip planned to see my Fian'ce in January. Their response back was the same as before. Please wait, the applicant will be called in a few days. (35 days and counting)

  10. December 9th, still waiting to hear from the Embassy. I sent them a friendly email a couple days ago but no response. We are waiting for the "few days" to be ended and our phone call to come.

  11. Our Congressman received an email saying a visa is being issued. We sent an email to the Embassy and the responded with wait a few days and the applicant will be called. That was on Nov 22. as of December 3rd we are still waiting. But I am sure a few days to Embassy employees is really a few weeks. We are waiting with great expectation that the call will come any day.

  12. Thank you for your words of encouragement. I hope your time in AP will be short and you will be with your husband soon.

  13. We have almost crossed the two year mark and our only sign of hope was a call from the embassy in 03/2010,they called to ask my fiance' if we are still engaged. Nothing happened after the call. We have written to the embassy a few times, I call the State Dept. every 2 months or so, and I asked my congressman to inquire on my behalf, which his staff does every 45 days. That's our story
