  1. i still can't believe about the world cup...

anyway i thing you should look for something between the day of you RFE(06/02 correct me if wrong) +30 to 40 days like on my case i'm looking at my EAD approval +30 to 40 days the problem is that NYC and Atlanta offices have been reported as the slowest ,this just turn out my theory away because of the number of applicants must be double if not triple than the others offices(one more reason to "love" NYC  ) the good thing is that the EAD is process by a different department so there is no delay on that doesn't meter where you are :)

we just got to wait :( next time i'm gonna move somewhere else to apply hate NY right now...

they can give me a letter for November i don't care!!just let me know ahhhhhhhhhhh

well let's hope that your theory proves correct, just want to know the date as well, no mater when it is, need to make plans and not put my life on hold 4ever (for the past 4 years I have done so) :bonk:

  2. Deutschland ,Deutschland ,Deutschland !!!!!!!

There is Nothing better for a Brazilian to see Germany score 4x0 on Argentina in the world cup lol where is Messi now???

    Deutschland ,Deutschland ,Deutschland !!!!!!!

Germany Played well, but still I would like Holland to win ;) just saying another team besides the usuallll Such as Brazil, Germany, Italy, Argentina etc ....

  3. World cup is reaaaly dead to me :( I can belive still...now 2014 world cup in Brazil

Anyway I got my EAD card on the mail today and apply for a ss card now just have to wait.

Felipe, I am sorry for you that Brazil lost  , But I was so happy Holland won!!! I did jump off my seat and screamed so much when they won :P I hope they win the cup too :luv:

Anyhow congrats on EAD card, but any prediction on interview date from your theories??? :innocent:(F)

  4. You know, that thought had occurred to me, but laziness initially won out. tongue.gif I am adding the ones I can now.

U'r 2 funny!!! I know that laziness wins but now looking at the list I can't figure out what is the pattern  I know NYC is not the fastest out there, so me and other nyc filers will sit down and wait patiently

Congratulations!!!! I'm doing the happy interview dance with you.

meijie, congrats on ur interview, where is it taking palce if u don't mind telling us :star::innocent:

  5. Count me in guys. I couldn't stop visiting the USCIS website to check my status, til' now its still on "initial interview." :help: I'm about to go crazy  staying at home doing nothing. How about you guys? what have you been doing now that you can't work? (Specifically asked to those who don't have kids like me :crying:)

Btw, what does it mean when you say "touched"?

When you open your account with USCIS and sign in there, you can add your case to your portfolio and you can see when you get "touched".

I have a baby so I am working full time right now ;) you should go to the mall and hunt down sales LOL or write here in this forum like most of us do. ;)

  6. Congrats ato all who got interview letters! At last some progress in the AOS process  For those who got interviews, what is the status of the online case, which button is it selected?

Tuts I am sorry to hear about the RFE :( I hope it's nothing major and time consuming.

They have touched my I-485 case several times and I am getting a little worried  at the same time dreaming for interview letter. I wish right????

  7. Well it is back to the drawing board when it comes to job hunting.

A company I interviewed for got back to me today saying they decided to hire someone who had interned there last summer.

But they said to "keep in touch"

Guess there are too many engineers out there and not enough jobs :crying:

HAH, and I was told at one point that being a woman, minority, and an engineer is a good thing

Oh well.. not that I could have accepted the position anyway since I have no idea when I can start..:bonk:

Keep in touch :rofl::rofl: that's funny.

Better luck next time and it's their loss. I don't understand why they interview people when they already have someone :bonk:

  8. Yikes. Has your I-130 been touched since you sent in the AOS package? You still seem to be moving, whereas I am at a standstill. Maybe they have yours already. I hope so! good.gif

My I-130 has not been touched since it was approved in March. not sure if they need to touch it for my case to go forward

It looks like most of us who got "touched" were the ones who received some type of RFE, so "no touches" might actually mean something good ;):star:

  9. As a current F-1 student, I would advise you rather do a fiance or spouse visa. Tuition is way too expensive. In my opinion, if I had a choice I would rather use the money to get a GC.

If the person came here on a student visa, you have to wait a while before applying for AOS, which will cause more delays at starting a normal life here in USA for the foreign spouse. (F)

  10. Good luck on your interview today! Hope everyone that's looking finds a job soon :)

I'm pretty tired of only being allowed to work on campus for all these years myself! Well.. aside from OPT..

Can't wait to join the work force, so come sooooon, EAD caaaard!!!

(doing card dance so it will come soon...):dance:

    join the card dance...lol

I really need to renew my Driver's license!!!!! :crying::bonk: Please EAD come soon ;)

  11. What do you mean when you say 130 was sent to NVC (nat'l visa center right?)

So your case number for 130 doesn't start with MSC XXXXXXX  ?

And this has happened to more than one of you? Why would they do that? :bonk:

I am a spouse of LPR not a USC. My I-130 was filed alone on AUG 2006 and approved March 2010. Then I sent my AOS in May 2010 when my visa number became current. I think USCIS sent it there because they though maybe I was not here anymore. You should not have a problem like that unless you filed I-130 alone and planned to do consular processing, but later changed your mind to do AOS instead.

  12. i don't know if anybody here is a lawyer but no offense they are just not good at all i did all my stuff by myself(i read a lot, study a lot about this kind of application for about a month) next time just find some time and do it yourself :)

I think that is good idea. Lawyers don't come cheap and cost a lot. Unless there is a complicated case which requires a quailified lawyer to do the job right there is no need for them. I have spent a couple of hundred of dollars before to look for advise from them and most of ones I talked to had no idea what I was asking or gave the wrong advise :whistle:

  13. I HATE effing lawyers!

So, sent an email to mine y-day just to say, nothing happening on my petition, could it be because they are waiting for the I-130 to come back from NVC?

    She replies--

    #######??? THREE MONTHS???

So, I phoned USCIS. The friendly man Joshua there told me to phone NVC. The nice lady at NVC told me to send an email to NVCInquiry requesting it be sent back, and she gave me the format to put it in. Should the effing lawyer not know this stuff? I could have/should have sent that email a MONTH ago!!! mad.gifmad.gifmad.gif

My I-130 was sent to NVC also. I received the forms to pay the fee for consular processing and the case number with NVC it was right after I sent in my AOS. Guess what I went online to the address they had and updated my information on the email and requested them to send back to USCIS my I-130. NVC sent an email saying that they would do that at the request of USCIS. So I am really lost :rofl:NVC says to wait for USCIS to request and here it is USCIS telling you to request a transfer ..... we won't know for sure LOL

  14. Oh and one more thing.. can my husband come with? The BM is only for me, but Lawrence is not exactly the safest place in the world..

My husband came with me at the center, he waited in the waiting area plently of empty chairs. They did not let him come in where they took biometrics. I brought my passport (marriage certificate just in case) & letter of Biometrics appointment. ;)
