  1. For the first time my fiance was actually glad I woke her up in the middle of the night! I just found out today we are approved with no RFEs and the whole thing only took 43 days! It actually does feel like the time and effort (and money lol) is finally paying off. It's nice to get some results because we all wonder how many days our packages just sit on someones desk collecting dust but I promise guys, be patient and they will respond :) Yay!

  2. On my quick read of your list, the only PRIMARY evidence of having met is your passport stamps. Make sure you put those in--front and center-- and that the dates on the photos match the dates of the trips. All of the rest of what you have is irrelevant so it should go AFTER.

In my opinion the passport stamps are kinda bogus, they are photocopied from my passport yes, but there is nowhere on the pages to signify that it is actually MY passport...... I assume anyone could just photocopy someone elses passport ??!!

As far as my pics go, unfortunately they where recently printed at a Wal-Mart photo center because they where on my cameras memory card or stored in my cpu, so the date on the back of the photo is NOT the date they where actually taken.

All of this is somewhat frustrating, I mean in my case the objective of my initial trip to Manila was business, I had no intentions of meeting my fiance there, furthermore no idea of a K1 visa or its guidelines, so how is a person like myself supposed have been prepared for all of this....If it was my intention to travel to another country and find my fiance' I suppose I would have had everything dialed perfectly.........

You are required to post every page of your passport even the blank ones. As for the frustration, I understand completely but really it is not as hard as it seems. Just relax some ok :) It is better to just take your time and take it one step at a time. Just use good "checklist discipline" and create a system for organizing all your stuff.

--> My system was literally I would fill out each form, email/transfer them to my fiance for her to proofread. Then wait for her approval and/or discuss what the issue was. Often times agreeing with each part was the most time consuming part for us...I'm sure you are being very particular about each block. After we agreed on a topic I literally had my entire package spread across my entire bedroom floor for about 3 days which was how much time i spent compiling it all. Just prior to mailing, me and my fiance used a webcam and discussed online EVERY aspect to make sure it was perfect.

For your dates on the pictures, just use a black felt tip pen and you will only need to write your names, location (all I put was city and state) and the approximate date. I had some that I only knew the month and year and my package was still approved.

  3. This is the newer version which is "savable." I would RATHER use this one as well but it seems like there is no clarity even from USCIS! So strange. I even read an article saying the new one is "flawed" but I think that the whole idea was to get rid of the specific destination for each copy. So I am assuming you just made 4 copies of page 1?

  4. Hey Webbs' I hope you don't mind, I would like to piggyback on this thread since it looks like your answer has been answered.

Which version of the G-325A did you use? We are trying to figure out which one to use. The old version has all 4 copies on the pdf however we cant save our data. Also the old version has the use/purpose of each one at the bottom left corner. The new one does not have the use/purpose listed and it only comes with one sheet. I have been told if you use the new one, you should just use 4 exact copies and let the USCIS determine which copies go where. I've also been told we should use the old version b/c it has those use/purpose indications...but like I said, it is a royal pain since we cant save the data...and I'd rather use the newest one since it doesn't have an expired date at the top.

So what is the verdict? Thanks!

Verdict in my mind is "better safe than sorry" and you should use the old version.

The USCIS website claims that "previous versions accepted".

Send 4 copies, with original signatures, whichever one you choose to use. If they decide they don't need them, then they can throw them out.

thanks for the quick reply! That is exactly what my girl is thinking. I called customer service too and I could tell the guy had no idea about the specifics. He was just saying follow the directions on the website and just use the new one.

as of now, we will use the old one unless someone can give some more clear guidance on the new one.

  6. write it exactly as she would in Lietuva. Many common European languages use modified Roman letters including French, Spanish, German, Polish, Czech..etc. Just write everything as she would in her native country.

ok thanks. Are you in agreement with Jim and recommend an attachment explaining the differences? It seems like too much info would be better than not enough?

  7. ok here is another I-129F question...I searched and found CLOSE to what i was looking for but can't seem to get a concrete answer.

My fiance is from Lithuania and while I am still learning some of these details I have been informed of the following:

"Lithuanian (lietuvių kalba) is the official state language of Lithuania and is recognized as one of the official languages of the European Union. There are about 2.96 million native Lithuanian speakers in Lithuania and about 170,000 abroad. Lithuanian is a Baltic language, closely related to Latvian, although they are not mutually intelligible. It is written in an adapted version of the Roman script. It employs a modified Roman script and is composed of 32 letters. "

So it since the I-129F states on question 16 to use a native alphabet if it uses "other than Roman letters," My question is:

What if the language uses MODIFIED ROMAN LETTERS?

Secondly, If we do need to insert the address in the native alphabet, do we insert it in English with the correct format, or in Lithuanian with correct format?

(i.e. LIETUVA (native language) vs. LITHUANIA (english)

Thanks in advance, and also if anyone has any concrete answers, can you include a reference? Thanks!

  8. Hello everyone. My name is Mark and I have come to get info so that I can legally get my fiance to the states as soon as possible. She if from Lithuania and as of now, we have just begun preparing the I-129F package. From what I have read thus far (which is A TON of stuff!!!), it looks like we have a long road ahead of us. We are both however, very good about crossing i's and dotting t's so hopefully we will have minimal problems.

So, thanks in advance for everyone's help that I will surely be asking for!

  9. I would like to just ask a question as I am having trouble finding the answer via forum searching....

Is there a thread that has a step by step guide for each section of the I-129F? I realize almost all of it is self-explanatory but i am not sure if I need to "X" the block labeled "PARENTS" under section 10. Is it asking if I am a parent or if I have parents? It seems like if it wants me to say if I am a parent or not it would say "PARENT?" in the form of a question and remove the "S" since that section is for me only and not my spouse  . Hope that makes sense. Probably a stupid question but it's better to read too far into it than not far enough I think. Thanks.
