Congratulations Marm to you and your fiance, I am so happy for you. I love a happy ending
Congrats to you Amanda and Tony... i see they've logged your packet 3 in *woohoo*
next stop... interview it'll be here in no time!
all the best
i used an unnecessary amount of smileys in that reply

our packet 3 was received in london on 20th Oct, but only entered into the system on Nov 3rd.. exactly 2 weeks later. have called the DOS a couple of times and still waiting to hear our interview date!

i had my medical on the 21st Oct... was nice and painless... over in less than an hour, which was good because i was on a tight schedule with catching my train home!
my particular hi-lite of the medical was being asked by the asian lady doctor "right so can i just now confirm your gender?" "ummmm ok" then i had to go behind the curtain and flash her to prove im female!!!
anyone else have this surreal experience??!? haha. please dont tell me its just me, because i'll start having self-esteem issues!
hey at least i can tick that off my list of things to do before i die (flash a stranger) jk! lol!

Hey, read online that the "earliest" it could start is Oct 22nd, so that's 8 more days for you! Hope it'll get through to you before then. And maybe there won't be one...
thanks!!! i hope so too

P3 is always regular post. When returning the completed P3 documents to the embassy, many VJers use Special Delivery.
so when should i start worrying that its lost in the postal strike??! and is there anything else i could try??!
-
The Royal Mail still apparently deliver items posted using Special Delivery during strikes, although I've not had first-hand experience of using SD during disruption. You can get FedEx and DHL to collect and deliver envelopes, but it does cost upwards of GBP30 to use their services!!!
when you received your packet 3, was it sent to you via special delivery, or just as regular mail??
-
ya i guess right now the frustration is waiting for london to send out the P3 notice.... thats where i think the hold-ups are. i've got all my papers filled out ready for the ok to go
i read today the royal mail has a backlog of 25 million items...!!!!! dont know how true that is though. haha.... hopefully its just a vicious lie to panic people like me
i dont really know anything about fedex or ups over here... we have parcelforce, but i think thats still part of the royal mail, so might be affected too

i've heard in the news apparently there's a postal strike going on/about to start... how do you think thats going to affect us waiting to get our P3 or other stuff through from the embassy??
*like we need even more delays!*

Sooo..... i forgot to list a previous address on the G-325A... honest mistake. i only listed my parents address, as that's the place i'm living at right now (and its the house i grew up in)... but forgot to mention when i moved in with some friends for 8 months back in 2007... it was in the same town as the house my parents own, but i changed my address to be there for that time
so dilemma... will it matter if i declare living there in the police check even though that doesnt match up with the G-325a form????
what to do what to do??!?! of course i knew i'd make a mistake on those freaking forms somewhere...
