  1. I came to the usa on a finance visa dec/2009,married in dec/2009 and life has been great for us.The excitement of been with my husband and in a new country was overwhelming, and i assumed i had everything figured out for my future.I was born and raised in canada for 51 years, had a family, whom where grown, and very supportive of my decisions. My husband and i went to my home town for a holiday after a year away, and i realized what i had been missing since i left.and the lonelyness started to sink in.I miss the birth of my frist great grand child,my new grandson, and the simple little every day things, like getting together for birthdays, and outing,or just dropping by to say hello.I chat on the phone every other day with my family,,but it doesn,t seem to be enough. Now i sit and say to myself what the hell was i thinking,my husband has no family,so he has no ties here,i guess i never really considered all the fallbacks. We have now started the proccess of moving back to canada, which i should have done in the frist place, and i would not have lost all that time and money.I guess what i am trying to say is to think very hard when you make your choices,no mather how much material things you have,if you don,t have your family it means nothing.

  2. congrats cody on your approval,it was nice to meet you guys, hope jen 17 did well also.Well i got to the consulate at 6.30 wanted to be frist in line.I know know that i was stressed out for no reason. The envelope i had 390 by 294 was ok,and also they accepted my deposit slip. The interview went good, the man i had was very warm, make me feel really comfortable. To me it seems if you got all the required documents your ok and be approved.I never had to show half what i had, just the main ones, also he told me i will have my visa in 7 days,so i guess i be packing.

  3. Well i am beyond stress now, called scotiabank and was told that the funds are taken out of my account, and cannot get them back.It has already cost me a small fortune to be here in montreal for 7 days, and really do not have the funds to pay another visa fee.If they do not accept the 2 deposit slips from scotiabank,i guess i will have to go back home without an interview.

  4. I am currently in montreal and have only been able to find size 390 by 295.I haven,y got a clue where to look,so hoping someone has purchased one here that can let me know the location and name of place. Thanks in advance

  5. I seem to be having a problem getting the right envelope size 12 by 15. I checked with the post office, and shoppers and all they have is xpresspost letter 318 by 241 .They said thats the standard for canada.Any help would be appreciated.

  7. Hey to all fellow VJers, and i wish you all luck and a speedy journey. We had our case forwarded from NVC on august 8th,and sent to montreal embassy. To this date we have not recieved packet 3 yet,and i wondering if there is a way to contact montreal besides e-mail.Sent them mail last week and only recieved a computer response which just included faq.Anyone know what the average time these packets are sent out. Thanks in advance.
