  1. I filed my K3 in Feb and got approved in July. I was waiting for the interview date. I called my lawyer she didn't talk to me but she set up an appointment for this Tuesday. I have no idea what is going on.

Do you know what does it mean to file k3 petition again? Please share if you know or have gone through something like that. I'm in shock right now and cannot believe it is happening to me.

    Thanks for your help

  2. I didn't get anything yet from the NVC regarding my K3. I did receive my NVC case # and instructions to send $470 to them for the visa processing. Im thinking of calling them to find out status for my K3 petition. If they received it or not. What info I need to have before calling them. Do they assign different NVC case number to green card and k3 petitions? Do I need receipt number from NOA2?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Cheers

  3. My wife's friend is not getting along with her landlady. She is renting upper portion in the house and thinking of moving out. She is waiting for NOA2. She asked my wife if the landlady can be a problem as far as visa processing is concerned. I thought it is so stupid to even think about it then i start thinking if us embassy actually go to people houses and get information that way. I thought I can on this forum if somebody know anything about it.

    Thanks

    Cheers

Landlady wont answer the door she maybe renting out the apt illegally :) so dont worry.

embassy in many cases does a field investigation and go to the beneficiary's neighborhood/jobs/school to confirm the marriage/relationship.

I assume you are petitioning for your wife and she resides in pakistan? If so, there 'MIGHT' be a field investigation.

As for renting illegally, it is none of ISL business to determine this. There job is to determine the legetimacy of your relationship.

    good lucks,

Thanks again Revived. Is this field investigation for everyone or maybe for cases who are in AP? I just want her to feel better because we have applied around the same time and we are approved and she will be approved sometime this month.

    Cheers

  4. I am confused you are saying " your yearly salary is more than enough" then you are saying your 'this year income is not enough"? I think you are saying you have not earned enough so far? I thought you were suppose to put your 'annual salary' in that box not what you have earned to date. Anyhow, I suggest you get a letter from your employer which should state your postion and your annual salary.

    good lucks,

Thanks Revived. Thats what I wanted to find out. It make sense to me to look at the yearly salary and not at the year to date salary. I was just trying to clarifying something here for myself. I will check the forms too.

  6. You are right about ditching the lawyer. I was thinking the same thing.

I have another question. Recently I got a job and before that i was looking for a job this year. My yearly salary is more than enough to be able to sponsor my wife on my own. My this year income is not enough. Do you think I need a co-sponsor or not?

Thanks guys for help me here.

    Cheers

  7. Im new here as you can tell. I tried to do some research and tried to find a pattern for approval and so far i have no clue. I have seen in some cases K3 and I-130 is approved under 5 months. I have no idea how is that possible. Last few weeks I have been checking my online status and so far there is no change since Feb. No clue what does it mean...i was hoping to see some touches or some kind of update so far no luck.

I can tell some lucky people already got both NOA2 who filed before or after me. I don't know if I should be worried or not. I will appreciate if someone can try to make sense how USCIS works...to be honest I have NO clue...

    Cheers

  8. Hello guys,

Im new here. Im waiting for NOA2 and so far I have not received anything since i got my NOA1. Im wondering if there is anybody who has the received date around Feb 23 and already got NOA2. I checked on USCIS site and processing takes around 6 months and im expecting NOA2 around August 23rd. Hope we can share our processing experience here.

    Good luck everyone

    Cheers

I got my K3&I130 NOA2 on july 6th from Vermont. My K3 NOA1 was feb 13th. So hopefully yours is coming soon!

Thanks for the reply. That is a great news for me too.

    Cogratulations!!!!

I went for the K3 thinking it is much quicker and faster. Now you are saying got both K3 and I130 on the same day. I thought I130 takes longer than K3. I want to find out which route you are planning to go to.
