I am praying you get an interview soon girl
-
Reeses, the board admin never answers my emails! Any sugestions. Also whats the point in changeing my name when you can just click and see it. I am scanning my computer daily. Now if the board admin would ever reply to another request.
-
How come the board admin never answers my emails? Maybe they will look at this and move it and answer it.
-
also when would they request for her documents too like birth certificate, passport, police reports etc
The NVC is going to ask you for these documents. If the case is there, you should start getting them together.
-
Montana , I just saw your case was finally forwarded to the embassy on Friday. Congrats!
-
Montana, if he is using his own labtop does it matter? Honestly he probably has not used the computers at the cafe in over a year. Nine times out of ten he is using his labtop at home. It is just one thing after another it seems.

'NigeriaorBust - I was waiting on your reply. You always have the answers. My husband used too. It is just wierd they knew our names denial. Etc. He goes to the cafe with his computer tho sometimes. Mostly get online from home.

I was just trying to see what they were saying as I initially thought it was an Embassy employee and was going to turn them in.

For the last week or so I have been getting emails from someone claiming to be an immigration attorney at the US Embassy in Accra, Ghana claiming they are reviewing my husbands visa denial. They were BSing me telling me they will review my case and get my hubby here. They knew our names as well which was odd. From the first email I knew it was fake. I sent it to my lawyer and he agreed. Anyways the person kept asking from my marriage certificate, spouses police report, and a few other items the NVC asks for. I played with the person initially to see what they would say. Than today my lawyer emailed me and said the USCIS, etc investigated it and called it a Nigerian-style 419 Scam. Anyone else seen this? How they get my husband and Is name, etc.
Looking for some insight. Thanks
Also another odd thing, I offered them money initailly and they declined. I have googled this and found others like it as well.

I beleive Ghana is one of the places you can not file at the embassy. My lawyer said no. You do it when you come come. Link from Ghana websute. Where to file for visa.
-
Call around agents Brandy. You can get is cheaper. Way cheaoer.
-
You need to go on their and get it and get it notarized. My lawyer said to ask for "the complete file" so you get everything.
I would get it done and send it to your lawyer before you send it in to make sure you did it correctly so you don't have any delays. I am thinking it may take a while though for looking at the log.

Honostly it depends how backed up the consulate is. Cuba to Liberia can vary. Ghana has about 9-12 month wait for an interview in MOST cases.

Hey everyone. It has been a minute since I posted. I am still drowning in my sorrows of my husband’s denial and working on it with Marc Ellis. Anyways I mailed off the Notice of Freedom Information Act and got the conformation letter. Anyone know how fast this will take? Today when I looked online this is what it said.
Your request is currently number 2972 of 3253 pending requests in Track One.
Date received: 04/07/2010
I mean wow they get a lot. Thanks ahead of time for any responses

I would try it. Mine was rushed through to Ghana with a letter stating I am bipolar and going crazy!
Just because they didn't rush it for one don't mean they won't for the next!

That is awesome, I am happy for you!
-
good luck to you tommorrow at the interview!!

Good news, about time they found it!

I have been in the mortgage industry for about eleven years now worked for brokers, lenders and hard money. You name it I have done it. Now I am a Paralegal at a Lender. So I can give you thoughts to this. Our money our rules, we underwrite and approve only loans with minimal risk. You can not get a lawyer and fight that. When I worked for a private hard money lender we would lend on a student visa with forty percent down. We knew if they left we could still recoup our money and sell the home. It actually happened to us once. Most likely once you get a new card with a new date it will be approved. You just may have to wait a little while to buy your house. They are seeing the card and thinking it may not renew. High Risk. You must understand the mortgage companies with their laxed guidelines screwed up bad and have lost a lot so now they want to have strong underwriting guidelines. It is a risk factor that the lender is assuming. Can you husband or wife qualifies on their own? Did you go to a direct lender to get this loan or a broker? And may I ask what Lender? I hope this makes sense to you. Welcome to email me and I can have some other ideas for you as far as lenders.

Nickey Congrats to you. I am glad he went this time!
-
oh my sorry to hear that. Do you have a lawyer? What did they say if you do?
-
OMG, but why am I not surprised it is Ghana. I mean they have a nine month wait just through the NVC which is crazy. I am sorry. That sucks, so what did they say? Did they tell him to come back or what? You must be going crazy, it is like a slap in the face.
-
Congrats to you! You should post the interview details on the Africa sub forum .
-
Congrats! So happy for you!
