  1. hi!

we had filled the form out, but our dr had his own method.. he didn't use the one we brought but instead had his own copies and typed in the part 1 for us. BUT i would have mine just in case ur dr doesn't do that..

he will do a full medical exam, administer any vaccines needed or transfer the ones u already have.. BUT the chest xrays are only needed if the TB skin test comes back positive.. so most likely that will not be done..

Thank you that is helpful I was wondering about the Xrays. That explains!

    glad i could help..

the skin test requires u come back in 2 days for them to check the reaction.. i was told from there they decide if the xray is needed..

  2. hi..there was no alien number for those entering on the B2 visa so we put none.. i would imagine vwp is the same

and yes.. the fact that u are applying CONCURRENTLY.. is gonna qualify u w/out the addtl evidence, its understood..

the I131 confused us as well, but like the previous poster said.. we went ahead and put and estimate of time he would most likely travel (don't think they will look at that very strongly) and put "in order to check on the welfare of family in Jamaica if necessary"

i like the previous posters answers better tho LOL

as far as the affidavit of support.. they only ask for prior years income or income of a spouse if ur 2008 income isn't over the limits i believe.. so it won't be much of a problem as long as 2008 is good! but like u said, more information couldn't hurt i guess??..

  4. Oh Philly I wish I had a mechanic in the family! My stupid ole car sounds like a hot rod! The exhaust has a hole in it ... again. Its falling apart! I pray it holds on 'till we catch up on bills! Maybe your hubby can open a shop in the future... is that what he wants to do? That would be a nice business!

We wanted to go to St Lucia for Holidays but It isnt happening. I feel so bad for Louis - he misses his mom so much.

We are planning February now. Tax return AND I just applied for the Maine Renters refund.. hopefully will get $1600 back and will use to buy tickets. (fingers crossed)

I was just watching Travel Channel and Samantha Brown was in Philly... they showed the Philadelphia Murals... they ARE SO COOL! Maybe if we get a chance to drive on down to DC anytime soon we will stop on through!

there is a September thread altho its not many of us on there..

I've just received an email from USCIS that my husband's petition, the I-130, was approved!!!

The email says that they sent the approval notice today

    Thank GOD :dancing:

    WOWWWW.. double the good news!!!

    congratulations!!!

  6. Walk in biometrics was successful! Including us, and the workers, there were 7 people in the office. At first the lady was like "well we don't really do walk ins but let me see what kind of case it is" and then said "here fill out this form". So she let us lol. hopefully this will keep us moving!

cool.. i am hoping that our office is understanding as well.. im sure that hubby will try to walk in..

so how can u start looking at ur status online?? do u receive some instructions w/ ur noa1???

  7. hello..

my hubby and i are filling out the paperwork to adjust status from his B2 visa..

i have been reading and some info seems conflicting to the guides, would like clarification pls..

altho the guide says to have a certified copy of the marriage license..i see several ppl approved by sending a photocopy w/ the I130 or I30 can't remember sorry.. the original petition.. is this corriect?

also the divorce decree does read certified OFFICIAL copy so i would imagine that is the REAL certified copy and not photocopy..

thanks for the clarification.. don't want to get anything extra if its not necessary as the records office is not close..

    thanks again!

  8. im sure these questions have been asked, but

when filing for AOS from visitor visa..

i see that the foreign spouse's bc is needed for the I485 altho u can use the passport "in lieu of" for the I130..

we do not have the BC and may have trouble getting it with mail time.. we would like to file asap, any suggestions? can the passport be used here also or should we just wait for RFE?

will we maybe just be asked to provide it for the interview?

i see this is required for the I485, if there are no available appts in the near future (next 2 weeks) is that something else that can be offered at interview?

    THANKS

You need to submit copies of Birth Cert. with I-130 & I-485 alongwith translations if in a foreign language. I did not have a Birth Cert. and submitted a copy of Registration Form from our Country which is recognized as proof of Birth Date. The IO accepted it and knew that in our part of the world, most Birth Cert. were fakely produced since Birth records were rarely recorded in the 80's and before.

Medical is initial evidence and its best you attach it along with your AOS application rather than delaying your case un-necessarily. For your USC spouse, his/her naturalization certificate/passport will be enough as proof of Birth Date.

For your last sentence, I didn't quite follow you. Your AOS application will take somewhere from 4 months to 1 year.

    thanks for ur answer

on the I130, the guides say that the bc OR passport but u are saying the will need the BC definately? ok..

so becuz we were not prepared we will have to send off for this and the mailing i've heard could take several weeks, can this form just be offered at the interview?? or will we most likely be RFE'd?

on my second question.. i am calling around and looks like an appt for the medical could be another 2 weeks or so.. could i submit the I485 W/OUT it to save time for the EAD filing (could i just be RFE'd for later or provide medical later at interview) or should i just wait until after the medical is done and submit the medical w/ everything else.

  10. thanks u guys..

i did remember having to do the I130, but i see so many timelines in this forum (aos from other visa such as tourist/student) that did not have an I130 or perhaps it was just missing from the timeline..

    thank you for ur help..

when u say it is risky to do it from here, what do u mean? i had no intention of marrying him, in fact i thought this visit would really just show us that we are NOT meant to be and that he would go back home and we could stop all this fantasizing.. once u live together, u know ALL the persons faults LOL ironically, it showed us otherwise..

he didn't quit his job, uhh, he didn't even bring all his clothes.. what could happen.. maybe he should go back?? i don't want to mess up his visitor visa standing becuz of a misunderstanding.. he has had it and travelled for 2 years now..

his b2 is good for another 3 mnths.. i see that AOS will not be approved by then.. so he will be out of status, if AOS denied..he must go back and then we can file CR1 or K3, BUT he won't be able to come visit me becuz of the overstay?? OH MY??? why would a visa be denied when u are married??

what kind of proof do i show that he was going back... letter from employer or something??

sorry for all the questions.. i just don't want to make a mess cuz i didn't know..
