My fiance is from the UK and we have applied for a K1 Visa. My question is, can we get married in the US Virgin Islands? I have read the discussions and it sounds like it is ok to honeymoon there...but is it ok to get married there? I can't find the answer anywhere?! Thanks for any help anyone can give.

try a post office, or even the dmv..or any public office..there should be a notary in any of those places

Cheshire v Cheshire (FL) and Stump v Stump (IN) are two commonly cited cased from about 4 or so years ago.... It would be nice to see if there are more recent cases upholding this or maybe the courts have finally seen the errors of these decisions...
you need to contact social services in the county you live in..It should be in the yellow pages, or search for it online..tell them your situation and they will make sure that you are in touch with the proper authorities and get you the help you need, and they will most likely find the ahole that left you..

you definately have to submit the annulment with the application, but I am curious that she actually has one already?? because I just paid for one for my fiance this spring and it cost me over $3000, and very few filipinos can afford that.. and you dont have to submit the childs birth cert with the application, but you do have to file his name and date and place of birth on the form. They will ask for the childs info from her when she interviews. Of course it would be a good idea to mention her child in your letter of intent also. Good luck

you can get married anywhere you want..but if you filed 129f this means your not yet married, so if he comes here on his 129f visa, then you go there to get married, it is ok..
