Biometrics appointment 28 December, woo-hoo!

Quick & easy. 8am appointment at the new Fort Lauderdale Oakland Park office at 31st St & 44th Ave, only 3 or 4 people ahead of us, Vanessa's actual time IN the process was perhaps 5 minutes or so after a less than 15 minute wait. Hoping the work permit & green card come really soon now that they have the fingerprints...

Going well. Turned out that Dan's regular doctor was already on the list of approved immigration doctors, so she did the forms up for Vanessa for us yesterday, and we sent in our completed AOS package today to get in ahead of next week's rise in filing fees :-) It's been a crazy fast few weeks but we're finally starting to get a chance to slow down and take a few breaths!

Less than 10 hours til POE... Should be at the airport in Bogota for the next few hours awaiting a connecting flight. Coulda been a quick & easy nonstop on Spirit, but they won't allow pets & have the ONLY nonstop to Ft Lauderdale :-( Thanks to Aires for being pet lovers, even if your plane connection schedules suck ;-)

Got the approval, Waiting on delivery of the visa, Bought the plane ticket, Drew a big red Heart on the calendar for October 3rd! Happy, Happy, Joy Joy!

Yes Sweetie, you just missed meeting Yucalover and his family. They got their approval and left happily while you were outside getting your additional pictures made. So many good people on this site, and so much help & support between them :-)

But one thing I know: I am missing you so - But not for very much longer... Only 2 days until we are together again in Bogota & only 6 days until the Embassy, and then it's Conmigo, Contigo, Siempre :-)

Congratulations! We are also interviewing on the 12th, and so is at least one other couple from here on VJ that I know of already. I guess we'll probably see you at the embassy. Hope it's a good day to celebrate for all of us.
