I received the oath letter today, I am scheduled for Nov 15th

I just passed my interview earlier today, I am mad at them though . My local office (Dallas) has a practice of same day oath ceremony, almost everyone I know had their oath the same day. I was really hoping to get it done and over with today because I am 9 months pregnant and really don't have time to wait any longer. Guess what...I was told I missed the cut off. The cut of was 10:45am, and my interview was over at 11:05am, so I missed the cut off by 20 minutes and they couldn't make an exception . Now I have to wait for THE letter and this will probably take at least a few weeks, I may very well be in labor at the time of the oath, or with a days old newborn...fun!

Otherwise the interview was easy-breezy, they didn't ask for any documentation whatsoever. The funny thing is I had like a ton of paperwork: originals, copies and certified copies of every document from the checklist and I was asked for my social security card, which I didn't have with me, simply because it wasn't in the checklist. So you may want to bring your SSC just in case.

Received my interview letter today, I am scheduled for October 22. I am very optimistic I will be done with the whole process before my baby is born, yay !

What you could do is go for an early biometrics . Take your letter , ID and I believe , a green card and do a walk in .Thats what I'm doing . Hope it will work just fine for you . And congratulation on your baby

Unfortunately my local office doesn't take early biometrics. I've tried in the past and they showed me the door , I had to reschedule my wedding reception because of a biometrics appointmet . Jeez, it looks like there's something with weddings and biometrics going on for me, haha .

Now this is weird, haha. I sent my application on Aug 7th and I got not one but two envelopes today. The first one was my NOA, dated Aug 9 aaand the second was my biometrics appointment (!!!). My husband was opening the letters for me cause I was doing the dishes, and I was like "Please tell me it's not on Sep 7th!". Sure enough my biometrics are scheduled for Sep 7th of all days, haha. I have a huge wedding cake to make for this day AND go to the wedding AND go to biometrics. I have to make it work, I don't want to reschedule cause I need to be done with the whole citizenship process ASAP, hopefully before I have my baby in late November .

I mailed my application to Lewisville, Tx yesterday ( Aug 7th). My local office is Dallas. I'am applying based on marriage. I really hope to be done with the whole process by mid-November, cause I'm due in late November/early December .

Hi all,

I just got the *damn* letter . Approval date 3/15/12.

I am so pissed that we all have to wait for so long. It took me almost 9 months to get the approval...I could have conceived and give birth to a human being in that amount of time .

USCIS officially sucks !

By the way the letter came from the local office in Irving, Tx, which is way too weird...it's not even the Dallas or Forth worth office .

Anyway, I am glad that it's over.

My 90 days window opens on the 24th and that's when we will send the application. That exact same day June 24th, but 2 years ago was the day I sent my AOS package...weird hm .

QUESTIONS:

1. I dated the I-751 form May 26, 2011, though I am actually sending the stuff now (mid-June). I'm not going to bother with reprinting/re-signing the forms with a newer date. Or does anyone think I should? -->> I think you're fine, don't bother with reprinting

2. Should I send the original affidavit (not a copy) as per the I-751 form instructions? Also, is it okay if I only send one affidavit? I hate bothering people with such requests, and plus I really want to get this package out...-->> One affidavit is fine and as far as I know you need to send the original.

3. I only included 3-4 copies of the utility bills and bank statements, spaced at around 6-12 months apart. That should be enough, correct? -->> Yes

IF they ask about it, they make just issue you a RFE for it at the interview. Remember, they don't ask everyone the same questions.

They never asked my husband for his, nor me. I think if you explain why you couldn't obtain one in time for your interview, they'll understand.
