  1. Yes they have his passport and they gave him an orange slip (i think that is the color) but anyways it said he was approvedand it had the information on it telling him where to pick up his visa at. This is lagos embassy so I have to ask this question . Do you think they could change the approval and throw him into admin review or denial or anything crazy like that ?

  2. Hello

My husband had his interview this morning. It lasted a few minutes and there woman told him I believe you and said you visa has been approved. She told him to come back on Friday and pick up the visa. Well later on today after he got home the embassy called him back saying the interviewer needs him to come back on Monday at 1pm and would not provide a reason. Anyone had anything like this happen. Was just trying to figure out what the Monday thing could be about ?

  3. Same thing here. I have heard of people using the new one with no problems. But to be on the safe side I used the old one since they still have that one attached. Plus notary is free and I didnt want him to have any problems on his interview. Better safe than sorry.

Here is there response to my email asking about the forms and the scheduling of interview date

    Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your inquiry. Please note that you may use either of the affidavit of support. Applicants are contacted in the order the petitions are received.

    We hope this is helpful.

    Sincerely,

    Correspondence Unit

    United States Consulate General

    Lagos, Nigeria

  4. I have talk to you a few times in the past and you were helpful . So I am really sorry to hear about your case . That makes me ever more worried since our interview is coming up next month and I have only seen him once . I would have thought 3 times would definitely have been a great deal of proof. I do hope things get better for you all and times passes by quickly until you two are actual able to be together everyday.

  5. okay we finally got an interview date. it is oct 23. here is the story behind it. i ended up calling dept of state to check on our case to see what was going on and they claim they sent us an email on sept 10 indicating this information. we never got anything from them at all . so now they claim they have to contact the embassy so they can resend the email to us as we need the interview letter from it , who knows how long that will take. we were approved on july 29. so to those that were approved around that time frame i recommend u call the dept of state and check on your case because yours could be like ours. also if i never would of called them yesterday we would still be waiting on a date ( to hear from them ) and oct 23 would soon be here and gone . so just call them !

  6. I noted that there are about 10 couples that have been approved in July and August and no one has posted an interview date. Maybe we are heading to a big interview party

Anyone have a date yet ?

No we still dont have a date . We havent heard anything from them at all.

  7. Lagos shuts down their email servers at night I think. So if your question is about an immigrant visa then make sure you email them at a time they would be open.

    some of their other addresses

If your inquiry concerns a nonimmigrant visa case, please resend your email to LagosNIV@state.gov

If your inquiry concerns a student visa case, please resend your email to LagosStudentVisas@state.gov

If your inquiry concerns American Citizen Services, please resend your email to LagosACS@state.gov

Ok thanks. That must be it then cause it was sent from here at 3pm which would make it 9pm there. I didnt know that shutdown at night.

  8. Hello

Has anyone else been having trouble sending email to Lagos embassy or do i just have the wrong address ? I have looked on here and on the Embassy website and they all give the same email address of "LagosIV@state.gov". But everytime I try and email them this is what i get sent back :

  9. Zariagirl,

Keep emailing the embassy. I finally got a email from them on Friday July 31st with my fiance's interview date. So they will email it to you once it has been scheduled.

Oh, that's good! I will keep emailing and will keep you posted too.

Since the interview date is emailed is packet 3 information email or actually mail out to them. I am still trying to make sure the embassy received our information from NVC. NVC said they mailed it out on July 29 .

The packet is actually emailed. Eventhough they will say it was mailed, it was not, you will eventually recieve an email with the forms and interview date. But if inreference to the NVC sending your case out on July 29, it should have been rec at the embassy by now. You can start emailing them but I can tell you it will take about another month to get your packet 3 and interview date, they are slow at that embassy but it will come.

Thanks so much for your answer. I have tried emailing them a few times. But it is not going through. Does anyone know if there email has changed or anything like that . Everytime I email them I get the following message. :

  11. Hello Everyone ,

I have searched different sites for my answers and even called immigration to get some help and they were no help. We just need a little help or guidance shall I say. My husband and I dont know which route to take. We filed for both I 130 and I 129f with vermont and they both were just approved at the same time. Also he is in Nigeria.

We are trying to see what the differnce is reference the time frame of him getting here faster.

How much faster do people normally get here if the I 129f route is taken ?

If we take the I 130 route and he passes his interview how long will it take before he is allowed to come over here ?

I know that if we take the I 129 route when he gets here we will have to do an adjustment of status, I wonder how does that take and is it as complicated as the rest of all this stuff ?

If we take the I 129f route what happens to all the paperwork and stuff we did for I 130 ?

He wants to do I 129f and I think I 130 is better . Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

Evidently your "search" didn't include reading the most common question asked in the VJ K3 forum. If you had, you would already know the K3 visa is obsolete because it saves no time, costs a lot more and may actually delay your visa process. Follow the CR1/IR1 guide.

Thanks for your rude comment you were so much help.
