  1. Hello fellow VJ'rs.

I have a question. We filed for ROC for my wife and her two kids on the same form. I received an email saying that my wife case, the one given to her in her biometrics notice, had been approved and her card had been ordered. However when I check the cade numbers assigned to the kids in the biometrics notices they still appear as pending.

will I get the three cards at once? It does not make too much sense to me they approve my wife and not the kids.

    Please advise

    Thanks

  2. Thanks how do I get to edit this table...I tried believe me :)

  3. I think it's a glitch with their computer tracking and their manual tracking. We have something similar where I work and everytime you do something to the file it'll report it online. So, I think it is just a computer craziness. The second notification appeared to come when my "last touch" date came which was a few days after my transfer notification. We never received an official NOA on the second one. I've seen similar questions around the forum about multiple notifications via text or email as well.

Well...it turned out not to be a glitch in the system I just received a hard copy confirmation of the case being sent back to NBC.

    Any ideas????

  4. Usually you will get a text/email alert stating it is being transferred from NBC to CSC, a text/email that it has been received at CSC and is being processed, and a letter in the mail that states it is at CSC. Is that what you got? If so then there was just the one transfer, from NBC to CSC.

Nope. Everything it is in my OP, it has been emails. I am afraid I am being transferred again...

  5. Hi fellow members.

I Sent out the I130/I485/I693 Package to Chicago requesting the AOS for my mother.

    July 12: NOA from NBC

    July 14: BIO Appointment Letter

    July 26: BIO Taken

July 26: Transferred to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action.

July 30: Transferred and is now being proceeded at a USCIS office. (letter received from California Service Center)

August 1: Transferred to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action.

I am really confused at this point. Transferred twice in a week????

    Please advice

I got the same email when I changed my address. ITS NOT AN APPROVAL NOTICE

  7. Another question. My wife had all of her documents, emails, photos, etc. very well prepared for the first interview... except for the DAS info on my travels and my 2008 and 2009 tax information (so we are getting that documentation together quickly no problem for the second interview). She was given a document noting those docs were missing and told to return when she has them for a 2nd interview. Is it common to be asked to return for a second interview or should we be concerned? Everything is on the up and up and we have ALL the other info you could possibly ask for. Are we both worrying too much? Has anyone every been refused for no good reason?

    Thanks, stressed :)

Relax...she just needs to show the documents missing and you guys will be fine. I understand the anxiety that this process generates, however, try to cool down a bit, specially when collecting documents and double check twice if necessary. When we had our interview. I did the whole package...checked three times...the morning before going to the airport...and still had a horrible flight thinking I had left something behind...good luck and keep us posted

  8. Thanks... good info. She had everything for the 1st interview except my DAS travel info and my 2008 and 2009 W2's and 1040s... everything else was good. So she is gathering that info and will go back for a second interview. I'm assuming she will then be good to go. I have a high priced immigration attorney but he left out a few things :) thanks again for all your help.

 , my fees are not that high  good luck

  9. I've gone through the interview package and this is all I found about the DAS certificate:

DAS CERTIFICATE – Entries and exits to and from Colombia for the past 10 years for both the petitioner and all visa applicants over age 18. This document may be obtained in Bogotá at the DAS Office located at Calle 100 #11B-27, Edificio Platinium, Bogotá. Failure to bring this document may result in delays in visa processing.

Less detailed than I would have hoped for... The online ordering instructions are for police certificates.

So I've read on here that my wife can pick up a DAS certificate for me if she has our marriage certificate and a copy of my passport. Does she need anything esle? I've also read she can do this in Medellin (not only Bogota) but that there is a five day wait.. Does anyone know this to be true?

And if you pick it up in Bogota now long does it take? Is it "while-you-wait" next-day or multiple-days?

I was going to chance it and skip picking up my DAS certificate but as there is going to be another round of document collected anyway for medical, her DAS certificate, Baptismal docs, etc it's feeling less smart to cut this final corner.. :)

Well, I was lucky enough and my wife lives in Bogota. The entries and exits certificate took three business days. Only way to confirm if it can be order in another city is to call DAS directly.

  10. My colombian wife recently did her interview and they did not issue her the Visa because they needed her to show my travels to and from Colombia. They asked her to get this information from DAS. Is this a normal request and what will she need to get this info? I am assuming my passport info?

    Thanks, Donald

I highly recommend to check the embassy website. They have the "Interview Package" where all the documents needed are listed, and detailed instructions on how to get them are given. Good luck

One more thing, I am not sure your can order it online...we looked up and we couldn't find any info, so my wife had to go to get hers and mine

  11. Yes. Hello, VJ family, I just wanted to let you know that my interview on Aug 24th was quick and smooth and I am now awaiting the DHL courier with my passport and the mysterious sealed envelope :-)

It seems almost imposible that this journey is virtually over. Not so long ago, it seemed as if it would never end. My husband is flying in next week to help me take the last of my belongings and move them to the US. That includes my two dogs who, after living in Poland for 5 years will return to their home country, tee hee.

Good luck to everyone still awaiting their interviews!

Congrats!!!. I feel so lucky. My wife and two kids had the interview on Monday and they received the passport and envelope today!!!

  12. I had done a fiancee visa for someone previously in Bogota and we had to pay something at Banco Helm, and present some kind of form....I think it was form 156 or something like that. We will have our CR-1 spousal visa interview at the embassy in Bogota next month, but I don't recall seeing anything about Banco Helm this time around. Is it something that only needs to be done for temporary visas? Do we need to do it with the CR-1? If so can someone provide me with a link regarding what we need to do? Thanks!

You already paid the NVC for the visa. NO banks in Colombia involved.
