Hi luisclus,
This is a type of question that is really good to ask in the actual forums rather than by private message.
It happens pretty regularly that people forget to include something in their application packages. As long as the majority of the information is there and the cheque is correct the usual thing that happens is you will receive a RFE - Request for Evidence - letter from the office that is processing the application. It will say exactly what is missing and give you a specific address to which to mail the requested information. You also need to include the RFE letter (make a copy for yourself before you do!). Don't try to send additional information without the RFE letter because it is virtually impossible for them to match up the new information with your file since they deal with so many applications every day. If it is something critical to the process, then they will just send back your whole application, including the uncashed cheque, and ask you to re-submit it with the necessary corrections.
For the citizenship application, it may be at the interview stage where they ask you for the missing information. Page 8 contains critical information for their decision. Be sure to bring the missing page to the interview if you don't receive an RFE or the package back, along with any supporting documents that are required by page 8 (court documents, police records, etc.).
I think it would be really good if you did post this question in the US Citizenship Forum. I can only answer based on my own experiences and general information I have seen in the forums, but you may find someone who has been in exactly the same situation by posting your question publicly and get a specific answer to your question.

I currently have my expired conditional GC, partly chewed by one of our puppies (who claims to be
hehe).do I need to keep my approval notice with me until I receive my unconditional GC, or would a color photocopy suffice?
I also have my expired conditional GC with me.

yes, you have to keep your approval or extencion original and just take a copy for your personal record in your home.

Hello fellow VJ family, I received my new green card last Saturday Sept. 19 with incorrect information(the name is my maiden name) so today, I sent the I-90 form completed and all the documents that support my claim...
attach the following to support the correction
1. Cover letter requesting to change my name and waive for the fee because my new greencard was a UCIS administrative error
2. The new greencard with incorrect information together w/ the approval letter.
3. Copy of my Conditional Greencard together w/ Letter of Approval showing the correct name
4. Copy of my Drivers License
5. Copy of the previous request to correct my name with referral ID:WTC_ _ _ _
6. Copy othe page 3 instruction I-90 stated that the fee is not required if the card issued to you was incorrect to a USCIS administrative error
and of course I sign it
My question is....
1. These attach documents are enough to support my claim?
2. How long does it takes the processing time of the I-90?
any response are highly appreciated!

Make sure to send copy of your passport, birth certificate and marriage license, because if you do not send these papers, they are going to send it back to you.

you must read the Instructions for I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence
If you are filing to waive the joint filing requirement because you and/or your conditional resident child were battered or subjected to extreme cruelty, also file your petition with the following:
A. Evidence of the physical abuse, such as copies of reports or official records issued by police, judges, medical personnel, school officials and representatives of social service agencies, and original affidavits as described under Evidence of the Relationship; or
B. Evidence of the abuse, such as copies of reports or official records issued by police, courts, medical personnel, school officials, clergy, social workers and other social service agency personnel. You may also submit any legal documents relating to an order of protection against the abuser or relating to any legal steps you may have taken to end the abuse. You may also submit evidence that you sought safe haven in a battered women's shelter or similar refuge, as well as photographs evidencing your injuries.
C. A copy of your divorce decree, if your marriage was terminated by divorce on grounds of physical abuse or extreme cruelty.
If you are filing for a waiver of the joint filing requirement because the termination of your status and removal would result in ''extreme hardship," you must submit with your petition evidence that your removal would result in hardship significantly greater than the hardship encountered by other aliens who are removed from this country after extended stays. The evidence must relate only to those factors that arose since you became a conditional resident.

Hi all.I hope somebody out there can help me with my questions here today.I got RFE and i sumitted some of those they were asking from me when i filed my I-751.I filed waiver myself.Am i still submitting those i already submit before?That was from lastyear when friends make affidavit from the marriage and bank statement was last year too.My divorce is soon to be final and i was still married when i filed the I-751.I read some of you guys have widrawn the application or waiver..and why is that???DO i need to call USCIS and tell them i am soon divorced???or shall i still submit those evidence they needed and wait for the decission?What is th best thing to do??? thanks in advance for the advice

You can't file a waiver because you are still married. So, if they are asking for your decree of divorce, they are going to look for the date that you got divorced. They do not want to hear that you are filling a divorce; they want to know your present status with your wife. I suggest that you get divorced before your two year conditional residency expires so that you won’t run into any problems. Because, if you are still married at the time that your two year conditional green card expires but legally you are still married, they are going to send a letter denying your application because you would be lying about your status of being divorced from your wife (You are not legally divorced until you have it decreed so in a court house.); they are going to give you 60 days to re-apply. Be prepared to provide more evidence of your marriage such as joint bank account/pictures/credit cards/loans/insurance/birth certificate of your son or daughter (if applicable)/taxes, etc… and a new affidavit.

I just received my 10 year RC but the date on the new card reads Resident Since 09/05/04 and the old card reads Resident Since 04/26/05; the new card has my name first followed by my last and my old one has my last name first followed by my first name. My questions are as follow:
1) Do I call them and let them know about the way my name appears on the new card (My first name first followed by a comma and then my last name; instead of the other way around.)?
2) Was the date changed to reflect the date of when I first submitted my application, or does it reflect the date they approved the first conditional RC?
it seems typo to me your date should not change. it can effect you n-400 application because you have to calculate 3 yeard minus 90 days from that. i would advise to call them and replace your card and there is special form for that. name sequence does not matter as they do it right for expample it shoud be like this and focus on coma

So I just got the letter stating that I should receive my new card within 60 days. It took about 10 months, but at least there were no real hastles. . .so far.
I have a couple of questions about where to go from here:
1. I still have the Social Security Card that says "valid for work only with DHS authorization". Can I get a new SSC card now that does not say this? What do most people do?
2. My other question is regarding any kids we have (I am currently pregnant). I was hoping for some opinions of what others do. I was not planning on becoming a citizen but was wondering about the dual citizenship status. Does anyone do it? How about for kids? I was thinking it may make things easiear for them in the future but don't know much about it at this point. Does anyone have any good info or links that I could look into?

1) you could have done this with your first greencard... you just need to visit your SSA office and update your status with them
2) You do not need to be a citizen in order to allow the kids to be US citizens... Canada and US both recognize dual nationality. You will most likely need to report the birth to a canadian Consulate. I am certain they have this info on a website for you to read, otherwise post this part of the question in the Canada regional forum

1.- What happens now if my old green card is expired but I have the letter of approval lifting my conditional residency and a stamp on my passport with the extension on it. Can I still remove in your SS Card "valid for work only with DHS authorization". , with the above mentioned as proof, or do I have to wait for the 10 year grean card.
