I know it has been a long time since i have been on here but I couldn't think of anywhere else to go to try to get the information I am looking for.....I know if you read my old posts I was getting used by my ex and lied to everyway possible the last straw that i had with her was when she told me that the name she was using was not hers and that she got all fake birthcertificates and passport (we went to china for a vacation) Now I found out she is doing the same thing to another guy.....how do I report this to the correct authorities it is obvious that she is hiding something and is just trying to use people to get here!!!! should I just mind my buisness and forget about it or should i try to contact iscis ? Thank you all for your help and advise .......And just for the people that might remember be you were all correct but i was to pig headed and stubborn to listen to your advice!!!!!....I am happy now and you all have been great to me and my new fiancee here .....hopefully we will be together soon .....and I found out what the true filipino woman is like not all about money and just love ........of coarse i have another sign on here now because i was to embarrassed about the past

You have options, but most will depond upon your individual circumstances.

If you continue with the K1 you will need a way to get your mail forwarded to the Philippines reliably. The Phil Postal System is not known for reliability. After you get the visa will need time to return to the USA and get married, apply for AOS, do a biometrics, and attend a possible interview.

The other option is to stop the K1 and get married. I would suggest petitioning for a CR1 visa over a K3. There will be no AOS with the CR1 visa. Also, look into doing a Direct Consulate Filing DCF at the USEM. Most Embassys require a 6 months stay in the country before accepting a DCF.

ok I have put in all paperwork for the k1 visa now my company wants me to relocate overseas either to India or the phils (which it looks like it will be the Phils) ....what do I do now????? can I get it transferred there? do I wait till the paperwork get to the embassy in Manila and then go and talk to them......or would it be easier to marry her there then try to transfer the paperwork to a k-3???? any and all help would be appreciated

anyone here fly by eva air? we are contemplating between eva air and hawaiian airlines to sac,ca..... the former is really cheap at 431usd(inclusive of tax) one way on sept but are there any issues at taipei stop-over? if ever i will have 5 hrs of waiting to leave again to sac. Will i be able to go out the airport for window shopping perhaps just to burn my time? ive been to taiwan (taipei)before but on work visa so i dont know if we needed visa to be able to get out of the airport while waiting on board again.

or other airline suggestions are welcome.

Hi everyone! I just received my entire K-1 packet back in the mail from the Vermont Service Center with a letter stating that they would not process the packet because the fee is $535.00 instead of the $445.00 stated on www.travel.state.gov. Has anyone else received a letter like this? I'm not complaining because now I can check over the entire packet again to make sure all my i's are dotted and t's crossed but I would think that they of all people would have an updated website.

I didn't see any increase or changes in the filing fee for I-129F, it still $445.00 in USCIS website. Are you sure you filled out the right form?

check www.uscis.gov and click immigration forms.

I sent mine in on the 9th and I received letter that they received it and needed to get her passport photo's redone but nothing about any added fee's.

hello, everyone again.....I put in my packet a couple of weeks ago and received a response that the passport photo I submitted for my fiancee they were not accepting because o the resolution on it????? want me to resubmit new photo.....(well I guess the rest of the packet was good)....has this ever happened to anyone before? .....Here is what we did.....she got the pictures taken scanned them sent them to me ...then i went to CVS and printed them out in the glossy format .......they looked great!!!!......here is the question I am leaving next week on the 1st to go see her again....should I just get the ones that she got done and bring them back or should she send them? or should I go and get new ones done while we are out there and bring them back to resubmit...all feed back would be appreciated...Thanks all you VJ'rs

Easiest way,, in my always humble opinion. Have her get the PICs taken on a digital camera (most of the PI passport places use digital cameras) and email you the JPGs. You can take to Target or? and use the Kodak PIC system. Cost me like $0.35 for 6 Passport Photos.

Just make sure the camera will do 2 Megapixals. I did this for her PICs at NVC and also, for mine when renewing my passport.

if the fed-ex or LBC will deliver in time (as predicted), you will have the package earliest saturday and latest tuesday if pushing it... that's my guesstimate... usually they always arrive in 3-4 business days... i hope your fiancee can ship the photos tomorrow (tuesday her time)...

Not to worry. Filipinos are used to expressing emotion in a way that is uncomfortable to the American male at times, and then be completely reserved the next moment. Get used to the drama. Sometimes it seems Filipinas are always on stage. They think whatever they see in the Telenovelas is the way they are supposed to act in real life. I just asked my wife, and she says, "Sometimes."

OK.....I am sorry to bother you all with this after all the help everyone gave me this week on getting the papers out......my wife ex of 2 years found out that we were engaged and she was coming to the states ....and flipped out (she left him for him being abusive).......he is American and stationed overseas......he is saying that he is going to do harm and is going there ON THE JULY 4TH WEEK END......now we don't know if she should go to the police or what since she is going to have to go get the police papers for the embassy......what are we to do? Any help or advice would be appreciated!!!!! add it here or email it privately...

You're not stupid, You just probably have never had to jump through bureaucratic process before (like most of us). Follow the guide for the K-1 package on this site, make sure you sign and date every thing, make sure you send all 4 G-325A forms. The guide on this site is pretty helpful. Just triple check everything make sure nothing is left for uscis to question. There is no limit to the supporting evidence that you may send. Visa stamps, boarding passes, photos w/ dates, persons, and locale are all good supporting evidence. Most of the people on this sight are very helpful and will give you their honest, sometimes brutal opinions, but yet this site is an indispensable resource. Good luck with your package, take your time putting it together, I know you want to send it as fast as possible but take a week or two and make sure you feel comfortable and confident you have all your ducks in a row so to speak.
