My future wife had good experiance with the RM...

They were looking for her ex...(large amount of money owed) found only her...

She told them what he had done to her,

They helped her that day, and went looking for him with even more vigor.

If you know about and such groups in America, the RM are about the same, they don't waist time on tourists or individuals, unless you have done wrong.

As doing wrong to a family member, a child or a lady.

I am one of those people ''left behind'',I got my NOA1 dated April 23,09,and nothing since.Not even a touch on it.Good luck,maybe yours will be faster than mine.

We are about 1 month ahead of you (March), and we just got NOA2 in August...so hang on.

Lawyers CANNOT speed the process and generally slow it down by not giving it the priority you would. Given the documents you need, You could download and complete an I-129f package yet tonight and have it out in the mail tomorrow morning. An attorney cannot do that. WILL not do that.

This is about the best example of what a lawyer will do for your money.

I am using a lawyer, and I agree that they waist too much time.

But I did not want to do the paperwork, so I paid for that.

And they are not all the same...I think I got a lazy one.

As Marina has found another K-1 in same city, using a lawyer, started after we did, and they already has interview date, we do not.

Much can happen in one year...good and bad.

Police report will need to be more current than 1 year

You can get the true date of your photos without a date stamp...

Open a photo, and right click...roll down to 'propeties'...click and look at the 'Created' date.

If your camera has correct date, this will match.

If you sized or edited photo...you will see this also.

Packages that you sent...you would have a postal form for Customs.

Mostly you must show them you have been in contact in some way.

I agree that you can do all of this yourself.

I did hire a lawyer, mostly because I can get frustrated dealing with the government.

And I worried about making mistakes and causing a delay.

It does not seam to be any faster, maybe even slower.

Plus we could plan our life and worry about other things, let the lawyers do all the paper work.

I'm not overly thrilled with my lawyer, as they were on vacation when our NOA2 arrived.

And I could have sent to them all but two forms months ahead of time.

Expensive as hell, but nothing about this venture has been economical

Took us 150 days after NOA1...I think we both aged 5 years during the wait.

So your getting kinda close to being over the average time

Add at least 1 month to your desired date.

I would highly recommend Skype and QIP.

Both help us make the time pass betrter.

We keep in touch daily, as we can read what the other post while we sleep.

and each few days we Skype, can see and speak in real time

We also filed in March 2009.

Also we decided to use the lawyers to not risk mistakes and a time delay.
