Back to packet 3 paperwork...It's making me stressed but it's better than doing nothing. The problem now is I'm trying to do everything all at once and my brain feels like it will implode.

PLEASE GUYS I HAVE ADDED/UPDATED MY TIMELINE AND IT IS STILL NOT SHOWING ON HERE. DO THE ADMINISTRATOR NEEDS TO APPROVE IT OR WHAT? ,,,,,I HAVE A QUESTION....IF THE NVC GET YOUR CASE AND ASSIGN A CASE NUMBER TO YOU, THE PACKAGE GOES TO THE EMBASSY WHERE YOU FINANCEEE RESIDES? CORRECT....ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO CALL DOS TO SCHEDULE OR GET AN INTERVIEW DATE AFTER YOU HAVE GATHERED ALL THAT IS REQUIRED AND DONE YOUR MEDICALS....PLEASE GUYS LET ME KNOW. I HOPE WE ALL GET APPROVED THIS WEEK...WE'RE MOVING AHEAD FAST. GLORY BE TO GOD FOR HIS MERCIES AND I PRAY THAT THOSE STILL WAITING WILL GET THEIRS SOONEST.

Well, we haven't gotten our NOA2 hardcopy yet. Other people who were approved around the same time as us haven't, either. So at least it's not just us...it'll be about a week since we got the e-mail, so hopefully it will be here soon along with the NVC letter!

JUST CALLED NVC...HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY CASE YET..THOUGH IT WAS A TRIAL BECAUSE MY APPROVAL WAS ON 15TH. I WILL STILL CALL THEM ON MONDAY. THANKS GUYS FOR THE GOOD INFOS HERE. GOD WILL SEE US THROUGH ALL .

Well good news is we passed NVC really fast with no AP. NOA2 on 31st August. Left NVC on 3rd Sept, apparently according to DOS it REACHED embassy on 3rd Sept too (weird) and embassy sent out packet 3 8th Sept. Now I'm worried. It's 17th and I still havent received packet 3. 11 days! It doesnt take that long to send mail in the same damn country.

I,m so happy that everyone is moving ahead. Just going to call NVC today and will give an update later. Glory be to God that we're all moving ahead and fast.

Congrats, Eltemp. One by one, everyone in this forum seems to be getting their NOA-2 so MAYBE I will get mine someday. I tried the e-mail approach Sweetgurl posted for getting my case status viewable online, I received a reply back on Monday but still I get the same old error message. Nothing seems to work for my case. Mostly it seems like Vermont has blown off May 5th and have moved on to June, but anyway that is great news that some May filers are getting approvals so there is hope.

Correction, May 4th.

Send them another email... I sent them the same thing 2 times and one reply after them just not answering to my question... it usually updates after one day of them telling you that they will fix it...

Note: put on the email that they told you that it would be fixed in this many days.... and it has not...good luck!!

I received a letter today about a service request an agent put one of the times that I called ...it just said your case is within our "normal" processing time, and to call them if I had not received anything by that date... (like I did not know that )....

Anyway... I called today just for the fun of it... and the lady told me exactly what I posted earlier: well your case will not be look at until October because thats their processing time... so I told her: Well I think on the website says when you put # number of months is because you are processing faster than that number, something which after being on hold for like 5 minutes she agreed....

In conclusion I feel our cases are in some really lazy officer's desk... and because he/she knows that he/she has until October 5th or 6th, that person will approve us very close to that date.... hopefully I am mistaken and we'll get tomorrow ...take care!!!

whenever we called they telling that same thing i think the officer who work in your case and the officer who work on my case set aside our papers because they are chatting with each other everyday :lol they know they still have days left until October How I wish they start doing their job now

well, all we can do now is hope and pray we get approvals this month

Try looking at K1 time lines at the top of the forum pages. They give an estimate days from consulate received to interview dates based on country. Also try checking your country embassy information from 'embassy info' at the top of the page.

To be honest I am kind of loosing hope that I'll be approved within the regular time...the reason is that I sent an email to USCIS specifically explaining that even though I had called to have this issue fixed, to have my case to show online, the officer simply replied: your case is pending and use the website to check your status. So he/she was telling me to check the status of a case I can't see on the website plus they already approving people from June... and many many from mid/late May... so I am happy that a lot of people are being approved, but with the same token... I don't understand what is so complicated about my case that has not been approved yet...and I could not even imagine how the people who filled in March, April, etc...are coping with this annoying experience, which is just one of at least 4 different processes. .. but hopefully I am wrong... today is just a bad/frustrating day...

Seems like some people at VSC were working last night as an April filer got approved yesterday. Anyway, as of today, I'm sitting at 112 days. I really am beginning to think that our online updates really don't work, so I'd expect something in the mail over the next couple of days.

Just an update. We received our hard copy of the NOA2 today. So I guess the updating address thing worked. Now to check with NVC to make sure they sent it to embassy for the interview.

Woow..seems like they're moving faster than we thought...TINA AND ROLAND if you remember you guys mailed yours on 13th May while Mine was sent in May 12th...Lets cross our fingers and soon we will smile.

Hello , Everyone! A bit of information:

I went to Europe couple times this summer to meet with my fiancee and on both occasions took pictures and saved all the supporting docs such as boarding passes, restaurant bills, hotel reservations etc etc etc. Made copies and sent to VSC as additional docs to be attached to my file. Usually USCIS don't reply to such correspondence if this is not a reply to specific RFE. This weekend I received a letter from VSC acknowledging the receipt of recent correspondence. But no touch on the system. Called my attorney, he was surprised. He never heard of such letters. and again told me that USCIS is a bunch of lazy incompetent arseholes who don't know what they doing and have no system to their approval process. Its all wait and guess game. Any ideas? Why no touch? Why the letter to the second attachment but not first one? Why ? Why ? Why?......Input appreciated

To my understanding....i don;t think you would have sent those pics and other particulars to VSC ..instead it would be to the center where the Visa will be issued. With understanding, you have done that and i believe it will not serve as anything to them. Because if your case if approved,. it is approved and VSC can;t disapprove it again. In some cases, it will be denied at the center where you will received Visa if you do not have enough evidence to back- up your case. I pray that everything works out fine for you. You need to follow your case until it gets to the final destination (being the center) for issuance of Visa. Most a times the system will never been touched, even when you have received your visa, do not rely on the system. It is a waste of time and money if i would say.

Well from what I've been seeing CSC seems to be a month ahead of VSC.

The number of our petition is correct, it also starts with EAC and several numbers following that. Just does not seem to work. I've tried creating an account to have email notifications as well but apparently you can't as long as you're not in the system (doh) but it was worth trying.

Yeah, I heard from one CSC filer that the USCIS system is messed up. They called and were told that we probably won't ever find our cases online. Oh well...I suppose this teaches us to be patient??

Despite the slowdown, I'm still hopeful that my visa will be approved by October. That is what I saw from the May timelines last year. I'd love to not to have to spend another crazy winter in Toronto!

I'm not sure what they do with money orders and how you'd check. I only know that if you sent them a check, at the back they would stamp your receipt number. Did you see a debit of $455 from your bank account?

It is a money order..which i have the receipt that i purchased it. I used cash to buy it as "money order"...just like traveler's cheque. I will check my mailbox today..still at work.

Hey just to let you know I used a money order to and all you have to do is call your post office where you got the money order from and give them the number and they will look it up for you or wherever you bought it they will have a way to find out if it has been cashed
