  1. Hello!

    We're at the London Consulate.

My Fiance and his Father [we need a co-sponser] are sorting out the paperwork for the I-134 and I just wanted to make sure they'd gotten everything they needed.

    Fiance has;

I-134 filled out with question 11 marked as 'I intend'

    3 years of tax transcripts.

    6 months paystubs.

A letter from his employer regarding wage, job permanence and his recent change in hours from 16 to 40.

    Father:

I-134 filled out with question 11 marked as 'I intend'

    3 years of tax returns.

    A letter from his employer.

    6 months paystubs

    Most recent bank statement.

I'm sure this is everything, or at least I hope it is.

If there's anything I've missed please let me know!

    Good afternoon to everyone.

  2. I'm the foreign female.

    - What part of the preparation did/will you take care of from home during the months you use/d to move out, after you get/got your visa and before you leave/left ? How much of the 6 months did/will you use?

I'll be leaving around a month after I get my visa[i hope] I've got my dress already, I wanted to go out round all the shops with my mum and she wanted to be there to buy the dress for me. We've decided we'll have it out the back of his house, a friend of his family is going to marry us so that's pretty flexible. Haven't made any other preparations really, been looking around for general ideas.

    - What part did/will you take care of in the US ?

Setting the date/time, catering and buying the deco most probably. I've spoken to my mother-in-law to-be about deco and they're going to pick anything cheap up that they find that's suitable or I may like.

    - and how big would you say your wedding was/is? was/is your family there?

My mum dad and brother are flying over for a month, to meet everyone, see where I'll be living and to be at the wedding. My fiance has quite alot of family who are rather close and I think the wedding list we put together as a guideline was around 75 people. <.>

I'm quite relaxed about it really, I don't want anything too glitzy. I'm hoping to be over there for christmas and to have a january wedding, the delay between getting my visa and going over there will also help my parents and brother get holiday time at work, book flights and sort out finances and pet care.

If I'm not lucky enough to be over there by december, it'll be moved to me flying over in february and getting married sometime in march.

    Good luck!

  3. Hey everyone.

I phoned the NVC earlier today and spoke to a woman who I could barely understand! She told me that my case had been received on the 22nd by them and she couldn't give me an exact date on when it would leave the NVC, although it'd probably be around 3-4weeks and it was "Under Review". That's about as much as I could get from her.

Got the case number though so I guess I can just use that when I phone in the future?

Hopefully it doesn't take 3-4 weeks to leave the NVC, that sounds like something they seem to tell most people.

Still hoping to get over there for christmas!

  4. Hey Guys,

I hope you are all doing great....I got an update which brings good news and bad news...

I called this morning to the NVC to check my case, and the lady who took my call.. after confirming that the DOB of the citizen did not match her records, she said: your case is beeing reviewed by a supervisor.... something I knew already...

So she told me AGAIN she could not give me information about my case... so I ask her: well I know that but could you at least tell me if the case is still in Portsmouth ? to what she replied.... : you'll have to talk to the embassy because the case left already...

    In conclussion:

Good news: my case is on it's way to Caracas... something I confirmed by checking the DHL and apparently there is a package for the embassy to CCS yesterday...

Bad News: my DOB is still wrong in their paperwork...

So my next step is to send an email to the embassy in Caracas to explain the situation... and hopefully they can get everything straight....

Good luck to everyone else dealing with the brilliant minds  of the government!

    Good afternoon!

Glad to hear it's been forwarded, I did see it yesterday when I had a look for mine and I wondered if it was yours.

There's one on there for London, UK. I don't know if that's mine as I haven't phoned the NVC yet to see if they've received/sent it so I'll do that today. That's super quick if it is mine though, which is great!

I'm so excited about my medical and interview!!

Good luck to everyone who's still waiting for NOA2, I'm sure it wont be long!

  9. Hello everyone! I have no NOA2 yet but I can see my case online now :star: thanks everyone for helping!

Eltemp thanks for sharing the letter it works

My first time to see my case online I feel good but I will feel great if we have approval

Guyz how did u know that your case was touch? Does it show on your status whenever u check it? I just saw that message was on initial review. Is it means our case still pending?

I believe the only way to do it, is to register and link your receipt number to your account. You can then go to "My Portfolio" and it has a box that says "Last Updated" that's where you can check the date to see if it's been 'touched'. [someone else might be able to explain the options better  ]

As for initial review, I believe that means it's still pending and the "Decision" bubble will be when they have approved it.

  10. Good morning May!

Congratulations to the people who got their NOA2!!:dance:

Congratulations to everyone else who is progressing, it really is good to hear that great news! I bet it feels quite crazy booking interveiws and such when you've been waiting so long!

As for me I am still waiting but I have adopted a calmer attitude towards it, I'm just going enjoy my weekend and take Eltemps advice of -trying- not to think about it, and maybe it will come. I haven't had a touch since 17/09/09 and their new sites says Initial Review which I think is good, not sure how it works but I think if they haven't looked at your case yet, you'd be on the first little bubble? But heyho!

Does it feel better now you guys are past the NOA2 stage and onto NVC/Consulate or is it worse? I always though to myself it would be better cause you can have a bit more of an active role rather than just waiting and not knowing.

Going to make some lunch, enjoy your day guys.

Best wishes to everyone who's still waiting/in AP.

    Jaz

I think initial review means you have a NOA1. My understand is they haven't touched the case.

I thought that the NOA1 was acceptence, It says under acceptance "USCIS issues a receipt number for the application or petition, and sends a receipt notice to the applicant." Which would be the NOA1. I could be wrong but it says under Initial Review that it concerns background checks on the Petitioner, which would explain my 3 touches in a row. I don't know why they'd start that if they weren't looking at my petition. Maybe I'm just being too hopeful!

No approvals yet today it looks like, do they work weekends?

I've actually had a really good day, I've been out in the sun[yes it's occasionally sunny in england!], with a few glasses of wine relaxing and reading a book! It might sound silly but sometimes all you need is for someone to tell you to relax before you actually do. Again thanks Temp! ^^

    Best wishes.

    Jaz.

  12. Congrats to all who got their NOA2's today! I'm pretty bummed.....my timeline now says "between August 30, 2009 and September 15, 2009" and no touches so I'm doubting I'm going to see my NOA2 this week.

My NOA1 date is the same as yours, although I've had 3 touches in a row and still nothing.

I've set myself up to get it by the end of next week. If I don't then I'll just have to wait longer, but that's what I'm hoping for. I'm forcing myself not to check online either. I checked once when I get home from work, I figure checking isn't going to make come any faster!

I hope everyone has a good weekend! Let's hope I am wrong and we get our approvals today!!

sigh :( i got an AP at nvc...

Oh no! Best wishes and good luck! I'm sure it wont be long :)
