  1. From what I have read, Vermont is taking about 6 to 7 months to process the I-751. For me, they have been very slow at cashing my check and getting the notice out. If you are leaving before your NOA1 arrives, then you should schedule an Infopass appointment to get an I-551 stamp. You don't want to be away when your biometric appointment is scheduled.

Good luck and congratulations for expecting a baby.

  2. Hey April I-751 filers in Vermont - any updates?

Out of frustration, I called the 800 number this morning twice. The first person that I talked to told me that they don't track I-751s on line. That my application number on my biometric receipt is my receipt number, but she did not know why I had two EAC number. To keep it short, she was no help, so I hung up and called back to ask my questions to someone else. The second person was trouble to why I had two EAC number so transferred me to a supervisor. The supervisor was a lot of help, confirmed that the second number was the receipt number (although it can not be accessed on line yet) and that we will be receiving in a few days our NOA1.

If you are still in a holding pattern and you hit the 45 day mark - make a phone call. Call even at 30 days.

  3. Sorry to learn of your situation. Much good advice given. I am not sure if you will be able to get those kids as James suggested.

If they asked for tax returns for 2004, 2005 and 2006, then send them. Also some one suggested letters from people who have known you for the duration of your marriage here in the states. You can even have your husband's parents send a notarized letter. Other people could be your neighbors, banker, employer, clergy, friends...etc.

Good luck. I am sure it will all work out.
