I became a citizen of US. yesterday (July 22) at 10:41am. There were there 652 people from 36 countries. I will apply for passport in 2-3 days. I didn't want to wait for 651 people at the line

I got my Oath Letter yesterday. Ceremony date is July 22 2016.

I have to drive back n forth to El Paso about 600 miles, but I really don't care

I just received text saying my oath ceremony notice was mailed!!! I didn't get the "in line" text, it went straight to notice mailed!! Almost 1 month after my interview.

I can't believe! It's happening! Almost there!

I pass the interview on June 9 in El Paso. What a relief

she had all my applications in her file she had notes whatever questions she could ask from all the application. she was happy as my file was so organized. she thanked me for being prepared. congratulated me that i passed the test and gave me a letter saying

"congratulation we recommended your Naturalization application to be approved. you will get a letter in few weeks for where to go for oath ceremony"

EAD/AP is the employment authorization / advance parole combo card. We got it after arriving in the States and after we had applied for AOS but before we actually got the conditional Green Card - it gave permission to work and travel in the interim while our AOS was pending.

Also, the letter asked us to bring all cards (Green, EAD+AP) and all other USCIS letters and other correspondence with us to the Oath Ceremony. So much for our bonfire idea!

5 year rule. Early filer. GC date is 5 May 2011.

I highlighted early filers based on my calculations. I highlighted those whose GC date is after March 2013 (3 year rule).

Please let me know if you are early filer and filed based on 5 year rule (GC date is after March 2011)

I got my fingerprints today. It took just 20 minutes but my trip was about 5 hours!

I got my biometrics letter today. As it is said, my appoinment date is 3-15-16.

I called uscis today. they told me no problem with your application, We got your money and scheduled your biometrics.on March 15 and then I checked my mail box when I got home. I found another I-797 which has everyhing that I need

I am always an optimist and think you're actually all right - I've done a bit of Googling and there's a couple other cases where people had sent in the wrong amount of money and they got the response with exactly the wording you got that was simply returning the additional payment, and the 'rejection' word was simply referring to the rejection of the additional funds. Those people subsequently got the normal e-mails and text messages with the case number a few days later, along with the proper NOA receipt the next week. What you got is not an application rejection letter, it's a funding rejection letter. In an actual rejection, they should send you back your entire application along with a green form that says something like 'sorry to inform you that your application was rejected for the reasons stated on the I-797.'

Did you file the electronic notification form?

You can always call, but beware that you might not get a proper answer - there's a reason that they call it the 'USCIS Mis-information line.'
