  2. Passed my interview today.. was at the USEM at 6 am for my 7 am appointment, got done at 11 am. This website has been a huge help for us.. i just want to share the questions asked by the CO, for those with upcoming interviews to somehow pass the kindness forward..

*When and where did you meet your husband?

    *What does he do?

*Do you plan to work in the United States?

    * What is your job in the Philippines?

    *When did you got married?

He also asked things about my US tourist visa, other trips abroad, etc.. All in all the interview lasted for about ten minutes.

Good luck to everyone. God bless!

    congratulations :dance::thumbs:

  3. hi everyone. Im just wondering...

:star: my husband is deployed.. will i still need an interview? or do i need to call the military helpline?

Thank u for answers.. i really appreciate it. God blesseveryone

yes its 6 pcs and complete all the requirements needed in submission of AOS refer to VJ guides.your hubby deployed dont worry about it as soon as you received the letter when you are scheduled for interview then thats the time you will call ur hubby otherwise just wait who knows maybe u dont need to go interview some other VJ members here they dont have interview and they received the GC.

    goodluck.:)

  4. Hey everybody just had my interview this morning in Dallas and we were approved!!! We got there 30 minutes prior to the interview and they called us right on time. The lady was ok but not on her best days, didnt talk much and didnt ask much, no pictures, no documents and didnt even ask to see my birth certificate. The only questions she asked was the one to make sure we didnt commit crimes and etc, you know, that list of questions she has to go through with everyone...She made small talk with our kids( 8 and 7 years old) said we were approved and if we wanted to get the stamp downstairs or wait for green card in 2 weeks. We got the stamp and we were out of there!!! Before we left I was talking to this couple there and they said they were approved but their IO said they werent doing the stamp anymore and they had to wait for the GC on the mail. It just proves that it depends a lot on the person doing your interview, unfortunatelly if you get somebody having a bad day you end up with a different outcome. The whole immigration process is unpredictable and we have to make sure we did our part right and everything will fall in place. I wish everybody the best of luck and soon we`ll all have our GC on hands. So now im back to packing because monday I`ll be leaving to Brasil for a whole month to relax and see my family!!! Good luck to all!!!

    congratulations

  5. Has any of you married in California -Los Angeles County before? The County Clerk's office said it takes 8-10 weeks to receive our official marriage license, would it really take THAT long? I know there is an express envelope we can submit for $17.50. Does anyone know anything about this?

Another question is: When we submit the AOS documents do we include the ORIGINAL marriage certificate or COPY of the Certified Marriage Certificate?

For the Check Amount $930 + $80, is it on 2 separate checks?

What is the title made out on the check to?

hi were married in LA county too we get license to marry at Norwalk but the same as yours still waiting for the marriage certificate its been 4 weeks already..yeah they tell us we will received it between 6 to 8 weeks ...were still waiting for it.and we cant mail our AOS coz marriage certificate is one of the requirement.

FOr the check amount: i read here in visajourney that you only pay $1010 one check thats include ur AOS and biometrics, hope this helps.keep me posted.thanks

  6. Hi,

I received an approval notice for the K-1 visa.

I read the guides on this site and everything went very smooth.

    What do I do now?

Do I need to mail anything else to someone?

Or just send the documents to my fiance?

I read that you can look on the Embassy web site in Moscow

and see when your interview is scheduled.

How do I find our interview date?

The numbers are different from USCIS.

We are in Ukraine on vacation.

She may have a notice in her mail when she returns to Russia.

But, we are here and impatiently waiting)).

    Thanks for any help,

    Ed

start preparing all your documents needed for interview and call the Embassy to setup your interview schedule.thanks

  7. yes i94 expires within 90 days from the date of entry,my advise is get married within 90 days and as soon as you have all your documents you must file the AOS,hope this helps

 the 90 day limit is for getting married (and hence fulfilling the terms of your K-1 visa).

Like someone posted above, you do have to file before the I-94 expires.

Doesn't the I-94 expire 90 days after entry???

  8. First, thanks for taking the time to read.

I recently reviewed my I-129F for the K-1 petition I sent in June. I noticed I forgot to write "None" on question 8b "A# (if any)" I may have left this blank (Doh!). I am a US citizen by birth.

My question is, if I receive a RFE will it specifically ask what info I need to provide? From what I have read on this site it seems like RFE(s) can be somewhat vague.

Any info on this will be much appreciated especially if you have received a RFE for a similar mistake.

Thanks again for taking the time to read.

my husband was born in US and same as u he forgot to put none on A# ...and we didnt receive any RFE...dont worry too much ..you should be fine.

  9. i have few question about filing my AOS.

    a. in sending AOS package u will mail it together the i485,EAD and AP in the same envelope?or mail the EAD separate and also the AP as separate.

    b. how many pictures will i will going to send ?for EAD-, i-485 and AP?

    c. how much is the cost for i 485 -aos,

    d. for EAD-

    e. for AP

or is it included in one payment.if so how much it is.

hopefully someone can help me finding some answer in my question.thanks

  10. hello everyone,in G325 AOS filing the question is all other names used-im married now do i need to put my maiden name in that question or it is not needed anymore.hope someone help me.thanks

If the question specifically asks for your maiden name, you use that, if not, use your current legal name (married).

it says form g325a- all other names used(including names by previous marriage) meaning no need to put my maiden name right?thanks

  11. Correct, only the GC is needed to travel, you no longer need the AP.

the GC for 2 year is ok to carry to travel right?thanks

2 year / 10 year still equals a valid green card with all the benifits of such.

The only difference is that in 2 years (with the 2 year GC) you will need to remove conditions on it. (bonafide marriage)

thank you so much for enlightening me.god bless

  12. hello everyone i just get married and we wanted to submit an aos application .my problem is we dont have marriage certificate yet.how can we get it.we get married here in california hope someone help us.thanks .god bless

How long ago did you get married? Did you request a certified copy?

Here's the link to the California marriage license/cert stuff.

    http://www.cdph.ca.gov/certlic/birthdeathm...es/default.aspx

Hopefully someone from Cali will chime in...some of the things on those pages seem a bit preposterous to me.

we are married 7 days ago.so we need to ge to california civil registry to get the marriage certificate?thanks again

  13. Hello my VJ family, well i got bad news today .... After hearing rumors of possible lay offs, that became a reality today... the truck driving company i "worked for " layed 1500 people off.. starting with the newest ones first(me included). The economy has hit everything hard .... and we have the K1 pending now.. OMG my judy is going crazy. i have applied to every company i can Google up . and 99 % say the same thing , " must have at least_______ months experience to apply".... well i only have 1 month and then the layoff. that doesn't qualify me to work for them.... how does one get experience if they won't hire you ??? that was our only hope to be approved cause it paid so well,,, unless there's something i don't know that i could do to meet the 125%... as far as assets i have a bit of savings and a nice home and 2 nice cars . can those be used as assets that will help to be approved?. also, i can get my brother to co sponsor, BUT i hear the Manila embassy doesn't accept co sponsors... if i had another job driving or if my VJ family knows of another job driving that would take 0 experience , i would appreciate it so much... i am a non drinker ,nonsmoker and non drug user . i will do any type of drug test required . i need work... these $7 per hour jobs around me won't meet the 125% the embassy wants .... i am sorry to post this here and sound like i am begging and pleading but, actually i am , cause i don't know what to do now... she is my life and IF we fail the visa , then i will have to sell everything here and move there... please someone , give me work till the interview comes along (hopfully i will have a new job soon), but please any help or advice ... Wayne ........sorry , if i posted in the wrong forum :help:

dont worry about that u should be fine just used all your assets and look for co sponsor then i think u will be approved.hope this helps.goodluck
