Dear fellow VJers,

The most recent update about my case is that I received this status update e-mail this morning (July 1st) about USCIS sent me an approval notice in the mail on June 30th, 2009 (yesterday). My questions is: I've already received this approval notice on June 20th in the mail, the approval notice itself was dated June 17th, not June 30th like it said on this e-mail, are they back tracking on status update? Does that mean I will receive my GC soon?

I got the exact email dated today when I was approved earlier this month. I hope this means something good for both of us.

Very happy for you. The strange thing is you sent documents before me and got NOA after me. Don't know if they are sending approvals/responses based on filing date or randomly. Let's see what happens.

Thanks. I'm not sure whats going on. The only thing I can think of is, I made an infopass for a 551 stamp, maybe that had something to do with it. Maybe? You will next though.

Hubby called me at work just now. He checked the mail before leaving for work and ....... My approval came in today's mail. I am so happy. Can't wait for 5 o'clock to see it for myself. Thanks so much fellow VJers. Hopefully every one waiting will get good news too soon.

It depends on where you go. I got mine in Atlanta with no problem, some other places will give you a hard time though since you have a NOA.

Had the same situation. No available appt in ATL. They will not see you without an infopass appt. I tried. I had to use the infopass machine in the lobby outside and it gave me an appt for 2 weeks later. If all else fails, you might try making an appt there.
