  1. Applicants go in for biometrics when their applications are still at the National Benefits Center. So biometrics done have to be done in your home state; they usually schedule your appintment at a convenient location. Your interview, however should be at the office that has jurisdiction over your area. That office may or may not be in your state.

    One applicant in Georgia did his biometrics while on vacation in California (walk-in).

    I got some good news! Today I received my fingerprints letter in the mail.

    my appointment is on 07/20/2015

    I have a question. If i live in VA why would they send me to NC for fingerprints, i find this to be strange; although considering where i live, Charlotte NC is closer to me than Norforlk Va.

    Upon receipt of all Required Record Checks, you will be scheduled to appear for an interview at your local USCIS field office.
