For everyone out there waiting for assignment dates... This is the week (well, starting Tuesday) but y'all know what I mean!! Lets get them rolling (I mean seriously, who the hell celebrates Colombus day???) My husband is from Genoa where ol Chris was from and THEY don't even celebrate colombus day!!!
Yes, Christeen, I am with you, lets hope that we will get those interview dates assigned this week. I would like to be with my wife at her interview, and hoping to spend Thanksgiving together, and for sure Christmas in the USA.

Mine took almost two weeks from the day it got delivered until it got completed by NVC.

Finally! Our case was completed yesterday, Oct 1, 2009. Now we have to wait for an available appointment date. My wife and I feel so blessed.

My AOS Document cover page shows
National Visa Center
Attn. CMR AOS
32 Rochester Avenue
Portsmouth, NH 03801-2929
Is that address not correct????
That is the address on my cover page too, but NVC operator told me that that one is outdated. Please verify it with them.
-
FYI,
My AOS bill just showed as paid, got the cover page, but the address on it was missing the suite number, so I called NVC and found out that the address in the cover page is outdated. The NVC operator gave me the address that is int the LingChe shortcuts:
31 Rochester Avenue, Suite 100
Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914
But please don't take my word on it, calle NVC to verify.

Hmm.. I'm wondering where I should send my AOS/IV package to. Should I just UPS it to the 31 blah blah blah, Suite 100 address?
You must send it to where the Cover sheet tells you to. I believe it was 32 Rochester Avenue for me.
Use the address on the NVC coversheet you printed when your AOS bill was paid. ALWAYS use the address on the covrsheeet printed for what ever stage your paying at NVC.
Except that doesn't apply in my case because I paid my fees via money order.
Mine hasn't showed up as paid yet, but when it does ill tell you the address it shows on there. Maybe someone else who has received it can help.

Still no DS-3032 in email
Same here, nothing yet and I am worry now. You and I have similar dates. Again, only thing left is to pray, for this is out of our control. Good luck!
count me in too. Did either of you call NVC to see if you have an Invoice # there? hope we will get something soon.
I did call last Friday, and the NVC operator told me that she cannot give me that information over the phone, that I have to wait for the mail/Email. It was my second effort to get the Invoice ID number over the phone.

im so sorry about this i will be back in 3 days from now
im so so eager to have time reading all my friends comments and know their progress
as of me my timeline can tell my news and later i will put more details about the Interview at the Embassy review
best of luck to all
Congratulations No_Where_Man! I am really happy for you. We missed here, but we knew that you were taking care of very important things. CSC has been issuing NOA2s in the past 3 weeks, but now the bottleneck is at NVC. Safe return to USA.

I am not sure how to answer question 21 of I-864 Sponsor's Household Size. In section "a" we have the enter the number of people I am sponsoring, in my case is 1 (mi wife). But in section c. asks you to enter 1 if you are married. How should I complete this part of the form, since I am sponsoring my wife, without counting her twice?
You would not list your wife in the section C. (Instructions say 'do not count anyone twice' and your wife is already counted on line 10) This form has multiple uses - in your case, you have a household size of 2 (unless you haven't mentioned something).
Thank you, that is what I thought. I wans't sure, and want to prevent any RFE.
Thanks again.

You have to fill one out for each indivual you are sponsoring. I had 2 step kids and had to do one for each
They are each under their own application so all paperwork you do will be one for each
Uff!! Thanks for the reply! Do you recall what form did you filled, I-864 or I-864EZ? I am thinking that it is the I-864EZ.
Thanks for the reply

I am sponsoring my wife and my stepdaughter, and, thanks God, I meet the income requirements. But I am not sure which and how many forms to submit.
I was filling up a single I-864, for both my and child, but I read the line that reads: "Do not include any relative listed on a separate visa petition". Since my wife and child had to have two diferent visa petitions, does it mean that I have to filed two I-864Z forms? Or a single I-864 will do? Any advice will be appreciated.

The Police Certificate was issued almost 4 months ago, and it does not have an expiration date on it. Will still valid for NVC? I searched on their pages and they dont mention anything about expiration date.
Thanks in advance for your reply.
I searched online for expiration date of the police certificate and what I found is 6 months. Here are some websites you could visit:
http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migrant/gen.../ab/bolivia.htm
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/s...mer/bolivia.asp
Good luck!
'Chris and Ani,
Thank you for taking your time to do some research for me. I really appreciate it. Now I feel more confident that my Police Report will not be a reason for an RFE.
Thanks again.

I read if issued within 1 year of the interview you can still use it.
thats correct.. I had called NVC operator and she verified it for me.. it's valid for one year for NVC purposes but embassy MAY request to bring another one after 6-8 months but then again it varies from embassy to embassy!
Thank you very much, Paris and waiting4approval, for your feedback. It brought me peace of mind. I was getting worried.

I got the NVC case number too, this morning. The light at the end of the tunnel looks a little bit brighter. Lets don't forget our friends on the March group that are still waiting for NOA2

I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST, ALWAYS! You have been so helpful to me and so many others! You are always in my thoughts and prayers! I am so happy we are doing NVC together! I will have a lot of questions though ;-)
Gundas, I have called 4 times today hehehe. I will keep calling and calling and calling like 4 or 5 times a day! I want that NVC case number NOW!!
Is there a website to NVC I can see if our case was loaded into their system?, to see if DS-230 and DS-3032 was issued??
I do have the NVC case numbers.
Good question, I've been wondering the same thing. I could not find a website at NVC to see the case status, but I saw many postings where people mentioned that they could not log in to check the status when the case was about to be completed. Hopefully somebody will let us know if there is such a site.

Thank goodness for kids or I'd be worse.Thanks...am feeling a bit better today. Really hope to hear something soon. Have given up on the 5 month mark though
I keep you in my prayers everyday, for I know how you feel, since I had been in similar situation. Keep your faith strong.

Hello,
I got the NOA2 approval by Email, and already collected all documents that I think I will need. I plan to follow the LingChe NVC Shortcuts. Has anybody follow them with good outcomes? Any advice will be appreciated.
Also, who gets notified for the visa interview at the embassy, The petitioner or the beneficiary? I will be the appointed agent, and I am the petitioner.
-
I got the NOA2 Email yesterday, hope to get the actual approvals by mail soon.
In average, how long does it take for NVC take to create the case#? Will it be too soon to call NVC in 3 days to get the case number?
I hope that we all have an smooth journey through NVC.

I got the Email of Approval!
With tears of joy and gratefulness is that I write to share the news that I got an email with the approval of my wife's and my stepchild's approval. My wife and I feel so blessed.
I got the email today. But in my praying of gratitude, I will keep in my heart all of you that are still waiting for the approval. I hope that soon will get the news that you are waiting for.
To those that are still waiting, Keep you faith strong, you are not alone.

I got the interview date assigned for Nov 10! My wife and I are so happy, and feel so blessed. I already bought my airline ticket so I can be with her at the interview. Does anybody know what packages 3 and 4 are? And, when should I expect to receive them?
