    Well mine was approved on November 20th and when i called NVC they told me that they don't schedule appointments until the second week of the month for the following month. so they told me between the 6th until the 15th they would schedule the appointments and sure enough the 6th it was scheduled.. so it depends how busy the embassy is...

      Wow! That's terrific! So they gave you four weeks advance notice. Do you know if that is a normal or short notice? Just wondering what to expect since I'm traveling to see my husband this week and hoping to get a CC while I'm gone! :) Maybe I'll be back in a month or so.. I hope!

    I called the AVR today and the recording said the same old thing. I never check the swebsite until now and finally a SIF!!!!!!!!!!!! woohoo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I sent in the birth certificate and NVC put in the system on the 28th of october and they told me 2-4 weeks and now i sent in the federal police report a week later and they just put it in the system on November 8th. i called NVC again and now theya re telling me 2-4 weeks from November 8th. oh this is ridiculous....

    Finally they said they received the checklist for our case but that was just the birth certificate. The Police Report was sent Wednesday also and should have been thereThursday so i hope that it was the birth certificate and now waiting for the police report. The recording says to wait 6-8 weeks.

    Yes i asked them this. but i will send it anyway. the federal police report i do not know what to do about. she will get tomorrow. so i will ask them if we can scan it and send it to them and bring to the interview also.

    they said theya re missing her birth certificate and federal police report. the federal police report it seems she gave me the wrong one. she printed the wrong one and i didn't notice it. the birth certificate i sent them a copy that was certified translation which they have from alst year when she came in on a k-1 visa. so she ahd mailed me a while ago a certified copy which i now have in my
