  1. Since I'm curious and completely bored out of my mind here at work, I went ahead to see how quick the NVC is right now. If everything goes smooth you will be looking at about 3 to 4 months processing time till your interview. Remember, things can easily take longer, we got an RFE because they changed something after we already had submitted the documents!!

    Hoi Letty,

I did try to send you a message but couldn't do that so i hope you read the topic this way ;-)

My husband did scan the approval letter and send it by email to me.

If I understand it correct... NVC contact me?

Hope you remember! LOL! And the whole time I think my husband get post or what ever from NVC after they receive our case from USCIS and that can take a while!

    Hi Letty,

Thanks for your reply! and thanks for looking at how long NVC takes!

I should sleep already! Lol, but i had my evening shift at the maternity ward and after I thought, i jump on the internet for a while!

Well, we are hoping for military expedite at NVC too, so thats why i asked about interview.

You are right, it feel good to be done with USCIS! i still can not believe though!

    Goodnight! ;-)

  3. Just a question.

Our package is going from CSC to NVC, there we need to fill out more forms and pay more etc.

I am going to the USA August 4 and be back beginning of September. My husband planned a "late" honeymoon! :-)

Now i am just a little worried.... what if everything goes well at NVC and it come to NL end of July... what if they schedule an interview for like August... can i change that day???

Really hope i can finish everything in September/October, like the medical and the interview. and start packing etc.

BECAUSE if everything is before August 4... and get a visa... it will take a while before you get your passport etc. back... so I don't dear to take that chance because really want to go to my husband like we planned.

  4. Peet I am so glad that Jack is going with you to the interview! Wooah...counting down to see him again I guess!

Liz, I am so happy for you that you got the house! Congrats and good luck with it!

    About us...

Today 07-07-2009 We finally got military expedite, they approved the expedite after a memorandum from my husbands commander!

USCIS website says last update 07-07-2009

We are so glad with the expedite, after a couple calls, emails and lots of waiting (my husband was on training couldnt get that memorandum earlier, they told us we need that in an email just before he went for training)...and also military helpline with trouble on their computer!

Hope we are going the good way now! So really hope we don't get an RFE but an approval of the I-130 soon!!!

And counting down... in 1 month be by my husband again!!! WOOAH!

Is your husband being deployed and this is why you were able to get military expedite?

Do you know if it's possible to get one if the American petitioner is just in boot camp and then just being stationed with a desk job somewhere within the US?

WE got military expedite because there is a very big chance that he is deployed beginning of 2010. Right now with going out of Iraq etc. etc. it isn't sure but still a chance.

So he went to his commander officer and explained the situation, and the commander said: if you are not happy that your wife isn't by you and there is a possible upcoming deployment I will write a memorandum for you.

About boot camp... I have no idea, i will say, he can always ask his commander or a higher ranked person. No is what you have but can change in yes isn't it? I thought, even with just a desk job you can get deployed? I know in the army it can!

There is a USCIS military helpline, they can always call them and ask for expedite. They most of the time ask for a letter from the commander, that letter is what you can email them. They can ask for a memorandum in the military world.

Sorry Lindsey i can't really answer your question, just happy we got that expedite!

  5. Hey all,

Well we got military expedite on 07-07-2009 a touch that day and a touch on 07-08-2009

I checked my email yesterday (did that every day) before i went to bed and always checked USCIS, but nothing changed.

Today i checked my email and got an email on 07-10-2009 that they send us an approval notice on 07-09-2009!!! I checked USCIS too and they said last touch on 07-10-2009 and I clicked on our receipt number and there Good news, on July 9 an approval notice is sent!

    OUR I-130 is APPROVED!

I am so happy! I almost can't believe!

I really hope you all get approved or get touches because that really help, just to know they did look at your case but hope all april 2009 filers get good news soon!!!

    Hang in there!

  6. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    READ THIS:

Application Type: I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

    Current Status: Approval notice sent.

I checked USCIS yesterday before i went to bed.... no update since July 8! No email in my emailbox either.

I just checked my email and found that letter, I did check USCIS and found that!

    I CAN NOT BELIEVE THIS!!!!!!!

Its very funny on July 9, 2009 we were 6 months married!!!

    Now up to NVC!!!!

  7. Anyone got tips on how to print out our call history from Skype? We both have good high speed internet so have been using that a lot more than chat since you can actually see each other, it saves the history but was wondering if there is a better way than just printing screen shots showing how much we talk. Hopefully we will start to see some approvals soon, the USCIS black hole has been the longest 2 and a half months of my life. Get to head back and see her July 5th for 2 weeks!

    Hey there!

Sorry I couldn't reply to your note earlier because i wasn't on the internet for a week or so.

But on SKYPE is a forum and you can download chat history from Skype!

I did it but i just can't remember it anymore how I did.

Let me think... How i got there...

I think through visa journey, there was a question about skype history

    or i did use google?

But when you type history or something like that at the skype website you will find a link on that skype forum how to get this!

    And it works pretty fast!

Sorry i can't help you better, but there is a way!

    Good luck!

We have been doing video chats, it actually saves a history of the call time, date, duration, etc on your computer but I can't find a good way to print them out where it is not just screen shots of Skype with the history displayed. Figured that is better than nothing but just wanted to know if I was missing an export feature for them or something

i did print that history, like from when my husband called me or i called him on skype, date, time, duration etc.

Its like you say, better something as nothing!

    Take care!

  8. Hey all,

My husband and i got finally military expedite on our case after his commander wrote a memorandum!

Yesterday they approved it and USCIS website says last update 7/7/9 we got a touch!

It took a while for this expedite because at first they were not helpful at military helpline, so we started to email with them and before we knew what we had to do... than my husband was in training, but now expedite is approved!

Hope our petition get approved soon without RFE's and wish that for you all!

    Take care!

  9. Peet I am so glad that Jack is going with you to the interview! Wooah...counting down to see him again I guess!

  10. Need some replies from the Dutch people that already had their physical examination please?

I made an appointment at Dr. Schultes office and they told me to call the place you get your x-ray to make an appointment at 1 PM.

There they told me I didn't need to do that, I could just walk in, is that right?

And the dr office and the papers from the consulate tell you to schedule an appointment for the same day

    Help?

    (slightly panicking now)

I kind a think the X-ray need to be done before you go to the doctor? I think they will look at that?

Well i thought it is in the same area, so its understandable that it will be at the same day.

  12. Liz, that is too bad that you aren't feeling well! And that shortly after they checked you!

Peet, glad your dog is doing ok!

Wyld Blu, what a pain... I hope that they receive your case soon in Amsterdam and can work at it too.

I guess Peet is right about summertime... tourist visa, and well maybe people like to study in September?

And well USCIS was very busy with Work visa for a long time...so maybe that is now a problem in our own country? Have no idea but what a pain!

I don't understand USCIS, NVC, consulates anyway!

Take care and i am still hoping to get NOA2 soon! I can't wait, and who knows maybe my husband got it in his mailbox but he isn't home yet... couple more days! But its more hoping for that than really believing!

  13. Hey, I'm still around y'all, so tick another one from The Hague (Scheveningen is really The Hague anyway!:D).

Congrats to everyone getting along BTW and sorry to hear some of you having problems. But chin up, it will all get there eventually. Time does fly by though and when you get home, you'll look back at this and laugh at how stupid it all was just to be together.

Right now, I missed my police academy due to the visa taking so long to send to my house, so am part-timing as a 911 dispatcher until I can either get a better paying job or go to the academy in September. But the work situation where I live is extremely dire, we live in a community with only 2500 people, so there are only a few jobs and I got lucky I snapped one up already. I am an hour and 15 drive from Tulsa, but there is nothing more than minimum wage there right now, so it's not worth the cost of the commute each way...fingers crossed the economy will pick up soon as I want to get back into flight school to get my US licenses!

Take care everyone, I'll pop back soon (am on night shift right now)

Hey Paul, Good to hear from you! Really to bad you missed that chance to go to the academy! Hopefully the next time! Guess you are so happy to be home! Settled in american life?!

How is your work? Do you like it? What shifts do you work?

Peet, i am so sorry to hear about your dog!

Well, wish everyone a good week!

  14. Wow approvals?????????????? wooah!!! so happy for you all!!!

    That is great!!!

Guess you figured out through the post or did you see it at USCIS online case checking?

    Good luck with the rest!!!

This is exciting for you all!!

    I can't wait for ours! ;-)

I got an email from USCIS first. Then when I got home from work, I checked my case status...YAY!!!!! On Saturday, I got the NOA2 hard copy. I read every word on every inch of that paper. lol. Still wish I had a crystal ball for the rest.

    -Blu-(Almost time to go home!)

Hihi, i would do the same, did you eat it too? ;-) i am kidding...hope you fly through the rest!

I should go to sleep, but had to work in the evening...its 1:45 at night...lol...always late!

  15. Hey Mark,

Fun, you found this topic! Welcome!

I see you can count down to the wedding!

I booked my next trip...August 4 I go to my husband again! I can't wait! Its just for about 4 weeks, because he need to go for a training to another state in September till November, i hope to get my visa before the end of this year.

My husband surprised me with a "late" honeymoon!! LOL! I can't wait!

    Well have a nice week!

I miss my husband... I am really counting down!

Its really to bad my husband isn't home because he is on a course, but hope that USCIS update their website (...guess they don't ;-)

  17. I wondered if someone could shed some light for me!?!?!?! My Husband is a US citizen. I meet him on my travels 3yrs ago and kept in constant contact with him making many visits to the USA. Last year he came down on orders to be deployed to Iraq in Oct 08. In April 08 he asked me to marry him and obviosly i said yes. We decided that we would get married before he got deployed and so we were married July 12th 08 in Florida. We agreed that I would stay in the UK until his return in Oct 09. Time has flown passed and Im worried that we haven't yet started a process?!?!?! Can anyone help me??? Can we start the process with both of us out of the country??? what happens in Oct when I want to move out there?? is this possible????

I do hope someone can help as I just want to be with my husband as long as I can before he gets deployed again for Afghanistan Oct 10!!!!

I look forward for any help!!

    Many Thanks

    x

There is a military helpline at USCIS for military people and their family.

I thought you already can file papers even when your husband is deployed but i am not sure how that can go, just check USCIS:

    http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...0004718190aRCRD

You can just visit your husband in October but the longest that you can stay there is 90 days without a visa. and you can stay in the USA for 180 days a year. If you stay 90 days in the USA that means after that you stay 90 days in the UK before you can go 90 days again, or thats told to me when i got my information about that.

Maybe but i am not sure, you can get an expedite at USCIS and NVC because your husband is deployed and in the military.

the number of the military helpline is: 1-877-CIS-4MIL (1-877-247-4645).

Hope this help you a little bit.

    Take care!

    Ri

  18. Thanks Ri....you always have such kind words to say!!

I just type down what comes up in mind, so out of my heart!

I wish i could give us all a NOA2 or an approval for the whole case! Just a visa!

You are always the one who is friendly to wish us a nice weekend or a good week, I think that is very kind!

Its like a count down, closer to our fiancé or husband! WOOAH! the sooner we can hug and be by them the better it is!

  19. Today is one of those days where you want to just crawl back in bed and wish it were over with already.... :crying:

People on my February filers thread are starting to get approvals and I'm SOOO happy for them, but at the same time I was so hopeful at the beginning of the week because TWO of them have the same file/noa1 date as me and got their NOA2's on Monday. I still haven't gotten mine and it's getting depressing.... *sigh*

    i miss my patrick...

    Dear Liz!

    Hang in there girl!

I know this is so frustrating! This time to wait for a NOA2 is asking a lot from us all!

We just want to get it and sure it come sometime and i guess it will be when we don't expect it.

Every time hoping for it, i understand that it is getting depressing!

But it always goes up and down!

Just try to think at positive things, the things you did together, look at happy pictures, that will sometime helps by me! Not always though, sometimes that make it worse!

thinking of you, of you all!

Take care and a big hug from Ri
