  1. you may just see an approval in your email

we got two touches before we were approved

I'm sure hoping so. Watching June filers being approved is really getting to me. I know there is still March filers and of course the April filers and May filers also. Cannot imagine that many nor have I seen that they were expedites.

Yet another touch today 09/09/2009 now only if my wife was touching me that much I'd really be happy.

  3. Just got an email from USCIS, unfortunately it's a RFE :crying:

I went through the copies of all the documents we submitted, I've no idea what else they want from us.

However, I did find a problem:my husband didn't answer question 2 (are you related by adoption)and 3(did you gain permanent residence through adoption) on I-130 form, the answers of which are both "No"

So could that cause the RFE?

Anyway, good luck to all the April filers who are still waiting for NOA2

Hey fellow April Filers, after months of nothing I got email from USCIS, but it is for RFE. But I think I know what for, my wife was late sending me the birth certificates and I sent the I-130 anyway just to get it into the system, so the RFE is not a surprise. But at least I have the birth certificates, and I should have aproval notice very soon.:thumbs:

Well at least it is something!!! No touch even from an inquiry. I would have filed sooner but waited for the marriage cert maybe should have sent petition in then called later and said I had forgotten to forward it need to add to my petition but was not thinking straight at the time wanted everything with the petition before I sent it. Nothing with my inquiry since they have 30 days to respond I'm sure they will wait 29 days until they do.

We got a TOUCH approx 1PM today 09-04-2009. No email yet on an RFE or approval but at least something happened!! Did not have high hopes on anything after getting home from work tonight and looking at my email. I'm still happy at this moment I guess after the long weekend we may know/hear something next week? Maybe it was just my congressional inquiry hitting. We will see.

I am not sure if this was a coincedence but I sent an email regarding my case last week and two days later my case got a touch after 4 months of no activity and today get the RFE. You should try to inquire about the case via email at

    csc-ncsc-followup@dhs.gov.

WOW touched once again and this time on a Sunday???? 09-06-2009 I guess something is going to happen this coming week either RFE or approval. Told the wife about the first one and she did not get excited. She doesn't want to put too much hope into anything concerning the USCIS to be let down even more than when she reads about May and June filers flying through USCIS and still March filers along with a bunch of April filers still waiting.

And yet another touch today 9/9/2009 at about 1 pm wow have no idea what is going on with this many. I just know an RFE is coming knowing Brian and Donna got a few before their RFE cannot imagine what we forgot or is wrong. Maybe the adjucator just likes the pics of my wife haha she is pretty hot looking and all.

  7. Okay, where did this forum move to? I cant find it?

    thanks, sweetcitywife

    You found it! Was moved.

I ended up getting a congressional inquiry on our case today. I know we are not at the 5 month stage and if you REALLY REALLY read the uscis page it is 6 months for spouses in the fine print. Reason for the inquiry and the congressman fully agrees is that so many May filers are being approved without expedite. Still at least a dozen March filers to be approved and next to nil Aprils. His first reply to me was well she is from the Philippines and it is a high fraud country. I told him it was discrimination at the USCIS level and they state they try to process petition in order received which they are clearly not. I made him understand that at the NVC level that some countries come under more scrutiny for previous high fraud or majority muslim. We will see maybe I shot myself in the foot and we will be at the bottom of the pile but at this time our petition may be in the trahs as far as I know with NO way to find out.

  8. Our NOA1's date was April 15th, but has not been touched since. I have read posts that say they received their NOA2 without seeing any touches on the status page. What exactly is it that you received regarding the NOA2? Is it the letter with links to download forms that is sent to the recipient (ie my husband)? I am still a little confused. Thanks for any help.

    Mintchip,

I just logged in today and noticed my case got touched today, so hopefully something will happen soon, previously my case has not been touched since they recieved it. :star:

wow great at least that is something. Wala(nothing) for us so far and yet another may filer approved grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Wife was so depressed last night I am betting she will not be online tonight because she is seeing these may filers approved and not even a touch for us or many other april filer and then we still have 13 or 14 march filers still in limbo if they have all updated their timelines.

  9. Is your 5 months here yet? But sdw, I'm sure you'll love NVC. You can call them and everything! :) And they're so nice, they actually want to help you. Whereas for USCIS, they just want you to get off the phone.

    Monday is 5 months

I am hoping the March filers get thru this USCIS H E Double Hockeys Sticks. Cannot believe so many still waiting. I was seeing april filers getting approvals soon after paris hearts and it got me anxiously awaiting thinking YES soon. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR still seeing the march filers waiting and looked last night and two May filers approved one of them with filing date a month after mine(may 27). Cannot find anything in regards to expedites on them so what gives??? I think my adjucator took our file home and was in a fiery car crash and our petition burned up with it. Of course I will not know much until we hit the 5 month mark.

  10. Thanks Chrisvy,

You mentioned that you are 7 hours away from Vegas, where do you live, because I am in Vegas and I will be flying to the philippines in 9 weeks via PAL, is your wife flying to US on PAL? I was able to buy a round trip ticket for only 774 total fare, including taxes, will be in Phillipines for two weeks.

Congratulations to those who've received their NOA2! Got our NOA1 on April 15th and like you, Sweetcitywife, nothing else yet. Must be any day now, don't you think?

I ran across a web site a couple weeks ago that said filers on the 2nd week of April would be approved in 114 days....I fell over when I received the e-mail

and they hit it exactly....I wish I could give you the URL but I didn't save it, sorry.

did it say when may filers would be approved? :sleepy:

It could have but I didn't see it, sorry.

Congrats to all of the recent April filers, I have not gotten a touch or anything since 4/23. I called the USCIS but they where no help as always. I am starting to feel down, because I see people that have filed after my NOA1 date and they are getting approved and my case has not even been touched yet. Is there any April filers still waiting for a approval?? I know there still are a few, but the list of people still waiting is getting smaller. Anyways I am just trying to keep myself busy because the constant worrying over this is not fun.

Brian you are just ahead of us and no touches on our end as well. I even called to amend a mistake on our paperwork and faxed it but never got a touch out of it. Wife was really tampo last night about all this visa stuff never seen her so depressed she is swearing off VJ because it is just to depressing to her. I do not understand unless an expedite how someone can get an NOA2 before others. Maybe ours both are in the same batch and they are on vacation. At least at the NVC you are more informed as to the staus of your case this USCIS is really patience trying. We are not in too bad of shape looking at the leftovers from the March filers unless alot of them have not updated their timelines which I'm sure some have not. Anyways good luck I really watch your timeline because ours is so close and I cannot wait to get the wife to VEGAS only 7 hours from here easy drive.

    Brian

I prefer Northwest myself. But have never flown PAL. I usually fly from Boise to seattle or portland then to tokyo then manila. I live in Twin Falls Idaho. Not sure if you remember but it is the place where Evel Knievel tried to jump the snake river canyon in the rocket. Most likely will not get back to phils until November or December. I just want the visa process over with and then if we have to wait until then it will be easier. Vacation time is limited for me and unfortunately during the holidays the tickets are almost triple what they are now. Last year I paid $2400 for a ticket december 22 to Jan 3. Then I paid $1200 for march 1 to March 22. Monsoon/typhoon season so may be a reason tickets are a bit cheaper now. My wife lives in Angeles City area where the old clark airforce base was. Now just to figure out how to get a stainless steel bodied Jeepney home I would be all set.

  12. What's the fastest way to send money to the Philippines without costing an expensive service charge? Any idea's? Can I fed ex to the hotel or her home some money form? just an idea... can i go to my usa bank and have it wired to a phil bank?

try money gram, cheaper than western union...

I send the wife $500USD monthly which is almost 23500PHP for $12 through western union money in minutes. All you have to do is put her name the city and province as well as all your details she can pick up at any western union place. The may charge a small handling fee there in phils. I send USD which is cheaper then send PHP. Alot of money changers there so no problem for my wife. Also email or text her the MTCN number also in case there is a problem.

  13. I tracked my USPS certified mail receipt to the Chicago lock box, our package (I130) was mailed 1 June 2009, and Delivered 4 June 2009, yet I have not received anything back, not even the return receipt from the USPS. I wish I could relax. There is no way to ask USCIS unless you have a NOA1 number, and the customer service line (1-800-375-5283) is recorded messages...anyone know a quick way to get to a live person? Is there anything I can be doing to get my wife here NOW? This process is very very trying. Peace to all....Anyone else a June 2009 filer? My wife waits in Pampanga!

You will just have to relax. You should get NOA1 this week and your return receipt as well as being transferrred a service center either VSC or CSC. The service center wait will be patience trying until approved for I129 and I130 and you move onto the NVC. Then things will happen once there. Our NOA1 was April 27 and we are still awaiting I130 approval. Nothing you can do until after 6 months about calling them really. The call center is not located where your file is the operator does not have access to your file. We went the CR1 route and only awaiting I130 approval.

On another note my wife is waiting in Pampanga also. Spent a wonderful honeymoon in Angeles City Fields Ave region and was married at Copung Copung Restaraunt. Awesome food. Brother and sister in law own a string of Manoks Fried(roadside vendors). Awesome chicken I must say. She keeps busy helping them and going to the gym. Probably best advice I can give both of you is that you all need to keep busy. Gym is $20 USD a month. The SM Clark Mall is alot more expensive haha

  14. It looks like the timelines are back populating the anticipated NOA2 approvals dates again, and mine is between July 2, and 10th. I know that they do not represent real time, but at least it is a estimate. I am ready for the NOA2, I already have the ds3032, ds 230 and I864 filled out ready to go.

We are in the same boat and ready just waiting for the NOA2. Ours is July 6 to July 14. It will fluctuate day to day. Hopefully sooner for the noa2

  15. seems like we are going to have to wait the full 6 months before anything gets approved, especially since California is going through a budget crisis right now with the government. :(

California government does not run the CSC. CSC is run by federal government. So lack of funding is not a concern. Two separate governing bodies. Just have to wait for them to wade through all the work visas first. Happens every year.

  16. I filed in April, as well. should have been sent to vermont, but they sent it to California (hoping it's a good thing!) One question...how do you know when your file was "touched"? :star:

you can go to online status page on USCIS.gov to create a account there, add your case in your watch list, the update date column in the table will be the place to see if any touches. but don't put too much hope on the field though since it might never change for some cases - A LOT.

so disappointed that these people in CR1/IR1 dept sit idle on us these days

something really needs to happen for April filers, i hope it will come this week

I counted up the days since NOA1 and most of us should be past 45 day mark now. The approvals are coming any day now...:innocent:

We will be at 30 days tomorrow. Was thinking between 45 and 60 days with all the work visas they have to go through first.

  17. My date moved up more too! Maybe VJ does know more

Oh and I did look at the March spreadsheet, but people passed their adjudication date... so maybe i just look negative but i am sure we pass that date from VJ too!

I have noticed that mine has changed too. That usually means that there are people here in VJ that have updated their timelines and based on their approval times and the predicted approval times in USCIS the date can change. I am cautiously optimistic, because it can very well be moving in the other direction just as easily. I am hope for a approval in July

I've noticed it goes up and down and now says not enough info to determine. Looked at a few other peoples timelines similar to ours and theirs say same thing. I'm not banking on it knowing it is just an estimate and all petitions are not created equally.

  18. I am going to be arriving in Manila Sunday around 11PM at night. Will the money changer at the airport be open that late? I will need money for a taxi. Thank you

Everyone is correct. Don't be shy once you are outside if you look bewildered or overcome by everything they sense it and there will be 2 or 3 people/sharks running up to you trying to "help" you for a fee in american dollars. They will offer to call or get you a taxi just tell them you are okay. If you are meeting someone they are on the otherside of the roadway of where the taxis are parked. You will see some signs with last names beginning with ABC then DEF then GHI etc etc just stand next to the one that correlates to you and look into the crowd they can come over once they see you there and meet up with you. My wife had a sign with my name on it and promptly found me.

Money changer is open 24/7 and there is a couple of them. Bring the cleanest straighest and untorn money you can get because they are picky. Be prepared for a bit of a wait as the lines are often long. You do not have to change all at once there is money changers all over PI. Also make sure you save 750 PHP for when you leave. YES they charge you that to leave the airport and once you drop your luggage off and go through security they have you. They say is to pay for security etc. All I had was $20 USD and of course she said she had no change. Oh well. Bring a pen also you have to fill out a paper also. Seems no one wants to let you borrow one as they are all in a hurry.

Have fun PI can be great lots of security everywhere and best not to travel around alone if all possible. I was lucky basically had my wife her sister and brother in law most times with us out and about in town.

  19. Welcome qundas and Pauley!

Is it too soon to start gathering documents for NVC?

It is never too early to prepare your NVC docs now. In fact I have already filled out the choice of agent form, the AOS and visa app, I am just waiting for my transcripts from IRS(last 3 yrs) and when the time comes to send to NVC. I figure my file will blow through the NVC like the wind. :star::dance:

We are in the same boat. Foregoing any dreaded RFE possibility. Should be a pretty smooth journey. Definitely not too early to be prepared with all documents.

  20. I sent mine on the 20th and I'm still waiting on NOA1. Is it just me or should it have come already?

Check cleared my bank 4/28/2009 and I received the hardcopy NOA1 today 04/29/2009 in the mail. Was seven days exactly the day they received it. Hurray we are parked at the CSC so the NOA2 should not take too long although oneday away from my beautiful wife is too long for me. Be patient it's coming anyday now.

  21. just put travel.. is it her first time to get a passport?

yes, it is her first application for a passport.

    Thanks

    Steve

She has to get an NBI check before getting the passport. Can take a few days to receive this. My wife will be in Manila today to pick up the NBI and renew her passport showing her new married last name. Also she will pick up her CFO certificate while in the area. She did the CFO seminar early as she had time. She lives in Angeles City which makes it a real full day with travel by bus.
