Just got the letter. You can update the approval date to 8/2/2012.
-
Just received this:
On August 8, 2012, we ordered production of your new card.
-
Thanks!
So that's all she would need? The cruise is later in the year so she should have her new green card by then. I was worried that she wouldn't be able to go due to her having a Romanian passport.
-
Quick question:
Will my wife be fine to travel on a Caribbean cruise with just her Romanian passport and green card?
-
Just got our bio done. Took less than 10 minutes.
-
We finally received our bio letter. It's for 1/24/2012.
-

We called yesterday. We have not received a bio letter because there are no open spots yet at my local office. I wonder if this is a Florida problem.
-
What number should I call? I have yet to receive our bio letter and it's passed a month.
-
Still no biometrics appt. to date.
I see your hubby is done with his bio. Congratulations!
Glad to know you had a great thanksgiving. We had an awesome one too.
Now back to the waiting game.......
I'm a November filer and still waiting for bio too. It's kind of upsetting when you see a lot of the VSC November filers have their bio appointment and it seems like you get skipped over. Maybe it's a Florida thing.

For everyone out there not to worry, my check was cashed today. 8 days after my NOA 1 date.
-
NOA1 date 11/7/2011
Received today. (11/12)
Online tracking isn't working.
-
We sent ours on November 2nd to the VSC. Good luck everyone!

I brought my wife over with the CR-1 visa. She has her green card. It wouldn't be an issue to take a cruise out of the country, correct? I'm pretty sure it's not but I just want to make sure. Thank you all. BTW, I've been gone from this forum for way too long.

We got the visa! Very simple. We were there for an hour and 45 minutes. We left with visa in hand. Before the interview, the interviewer asked my wife if I was there and she said yes. They told her to come get me. The interview took about 2 minutes and she said, "Well, your visa is approved." We waited half an hour for the passport. Everyone was nice. Now to buy the plane ticket.

Hey guys, for the interview, I don't need to give my wife my most recent W2 right? We sent transcripts to the NVC and the Embassy letter didn't state anything about W2's. Just a little worried here.
-
We got the interview date! January 14! Things moved by so fast for us.
-
BTW, probably a weird question but do they make you pay a fee for the interview the way they make you pay a fee for a tourist visa interview?

Called NVC this morning. AVR updated to case complete as of November 27!
So happy!
-
As of 8PM Eastern US time, I got this:
Sign In FailedPlease be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please click on the Contact the NVC hyperlink if you believe that you have received this message in error.
I'm so happy! This is what we all wait for, right? I'm not overreacting? It was weird cause I checked at 6PM and I could still log-in and then at 8PM it happened.
-
After being a little stressed out but staying patient, the AVR went from having missing info since November 11 to we have received everything and will notify you in 6 to 8 weeks as of November 18. Yay!
-
I'm kind of worried about the DS-230. The question that worries me is the one where it asks about the residence for atleast 6 months since the age of 16. I heard we should leave no gaps in the timeframe but my wife has stayed in places for like 2 or 3 months so it was left out since the question specifically states 6 months or longer. We'll see.
-
For those that did signature confirmation, who signed for your DS-230 packet? I have heard most of you got a real person. I checked today and mine was just signed by an NVC stamp.
-
So the AVR was saying that a letter was sent to me on November 9th about missing documents/info. I spoke to an operator and they said it was just the IV fee and the DS-230. The fee has been paid(as of Tuesday) and the DS-230 should be received today(USPS tracking is delayed). I received the e-mail about both of these missing today. False RFE, right?
