Hey Trushar, actually I'm prety sure we will get an RFE because we only got the PCC from mumbai passport office, my wife applied for the local police district one and that will come next week...so it should be here right when they ask for the RFE..we will see.... I'm praying somehow we get past NVC and only will have to show it at the interview..but highly doubt it...

hey ben and ash, how did you get hold of police clearance that fast in India? I am having trouble securing PCC from local district and ahmedabad passport office. I cannot submit my application because of that PCC. My case was approved 1st week of march.

If you would, please suggest how you got PCC so fast and what type of PCC you submit to NVC?

For me, they are asking for name change from maiden to married name (middle name change from my father's to my husband's ) before they can issue PCC and say it will take awhile. Please help me. It's been about a month and no submission to NVC because of PCC. Please help.

No way that's true... Once AVR confirms they received it, it does go to review. I think you should call back and check again. I am reluctant to believe this operator. Good luck!!!

I just did now - I couldn't hold out! She said that the package they received on the 8th was the DS-230 and it's under final review. She confirmed I don't have an RFE. It's what I suspected, but the confirmation is nice. Before they just told me that they received a package on the 8th, but did not know what it was. It is nice to know it's progressed.

She did give me the standard response: "Call back in two weeks". I said- no way mam! Tomorrow. Well I didn't. I, unlike Homer, used my inside voice

No, I have no patience for those operators...they going to say why am I checking on the case when its only been 1 week and then give me the 2-4 weeks

What did they say on the AVR " Your case has been approved" ?

AVR said "Your case was completed on April 13, 2009. Please allow 8 weeks for further instruction. If it has been 8 weeks and you have not received anything, please press 0." (probably to talk to an operator, I think)

I have one quick question, how long does it take for the IV bill to be generated after the acceptance of the DS-3032? Our DS-3032 was accepted yesterday. I'm waiting for the IV bill.

It still says "NOT INVOICED." Hopefully it will be generated sometimes today or tomorrow. Thanks.

In my case, I found out from the Rep and AVR that my DS3032 was accepted on Apr8th but I recieved no email confirmation of such or the IV invoice from NVC.

Next day Apr 9th, I found that I could possibly pay the IV bill online. I spoke to the rep and told her that the online was available for me to pay IV bill. She told not to but wait for the email Invoice.

The following day Apr 10th, I received the email invoice for IV. But no sign or email on DS3032 approval from NVC.

Yesterday Apr 13th, my wife received email notification from NVC that DS-3032 was accepted and generated the email Invoice for IV again.

The only caution I advise - wait for the email invoice before paying online. Best of luck!

Yeah, that is ashame about Shelly not knowing much. I wouldve called back and spoken to another operator.

I called NVC this morning about it, and the lady was more confusing then ever. She said all the April dates are full. I asked her, "does that mean you no longer plan to schedule any more interviews in April?" She still didn't answer that, instead, she kept on saying "we don't know when your case will be scheduled, we've to send your case to India, blah blah blah". So I asked again, does this mean I'll have interview schduled in May for the month of June. Same answer, 'We don't know when...." In short, I didn't get anything out of her.. Her name was Shelly...

I'll keep everyone posted if I hear anything different or more..

My husband always tells me that I am basket of infinite worries I used to tell him, once our case gets approved at USCIS, I'll feel better. Then when our case got approved, I told him "I'll be relieved once the case gets to NVC, this would mean they didn't lose our file". Then, I told him, "I'll be worry-free when our case gets completed because we'll know that everything is in order"... On, and there were many many many "I'll be happy when..." in between these

Yes, maybe the live operators dont get any other word except whats on the computer?

You know, the operators did not even give a hint when I called yesterday. All she said was call back next week. So if you call today and don't get a hint (final review, almost done, etc) from operators, don't get discouraged. Good luck

Jiskat, if that is the case then 2008 might be best in my opinion. Im not sure though. Please call NVC and ask specifically what you should do.

Regarding my co sponsor, since he is working in a ship - there's no exact information when is his next job since he is just waiting for the agency to call him for work... How does it goes??? We have no estimate amount for his all in all income for 2009... What should we do???

You should just include some proof of emplyment for your co-sponsor that includes his title and annual salary.

Just talked to an operator, was told to call back next week... She said I should be fine in terms of requiring 2008 taxes. She didn't have any idea about the login issue with Visa payment site. All she said that our system shows that payment has been received.

Next week!!! I can hardly wait for tonight or tomorrow..

Wow gixbr, congrats on partial completion I do agree with Ben and Ash, you probably will through quicker since one thing is out of way... In my opinion, they make a lot of fuss about I-864 compared to DS-230. Good luck for the speedy approval

Hey, I am sure they just didnt get to your DS 230 yet. I am really getting tired of the same AVR day after day. " NVC has received your documents on APril 7th. They need to update it ASAP haha...I hope we all get past this stage real soon.

Hi champi, I just saw your post now, thanks for sharing this. I also don't know anything about taxes, my husband did all the I-864 alone. But I really think you might get accepted before day 15, it seems they go a lot faster when they have both AOS and DS230 in hands.

On other news we got that "false RFE email" today, the one saying they received our AOS packet and now are waiting for the DS 230. Does that mean that they accepted the I-864 without any RFEs?

I hope so.

This is what it says:

"The NVC has received the requested Affidavit of Support form (I-864) for this case. However, we are still waiting for the Immigrant Visa Application (DS-230). "

Cool gixbr, this is great weekend news for you It does sound like your AOS package got approved. I am not sure since I sent both my packages together and I've not gotten any emails yet. Call NVC and find out... I am sure they'll be able to tell you. Just be ignorant and ask them about the RFE email
