I think that if you can get the best of both worlds, that that would be the best possible solution. Consulates want to ensure that mariages are real but also that you have the means to support your man once he gets to the US. If you like what you do and are getting a promotion that allows you to not have a co-sponsor, that alleviates the financial issues surrounding immigration. Who knows, you may be able to negotiate a longer break if you work hard now. Maybe your boss would go for 10 days or 2 weeks if you work through the summer. I wish you good luck with your decisions

Any news on the rest of the December filers for CSC?

The pictures you are discussing sound like real life, they are not staged. I believe that USCIS wants to see your real mariage, well there it is. I would definitely include the picture of your wife with your family and the ones where you are together with your dad and also mountain biking. You can include a description of each picture explaining date, location, circumstance, etc.

They want to see co-mingling of finances, so any joint accounts are better than separate accounts. Any 401k, 403b, IRAs are all good as well as power of attorney, etc. Good Luck

I can't remember where the post was about Mithra considering security cameras, so I'm posting here.

Last night when we came home from work - we realized someone had been chilling on our deck at some point during the day!! So, I've called the guy who did our original security to check the price of adding cameras. Mithra - what did you decide about the cameras?

Previous trips to halal places were letdowns for me as well. Lots of frozen things, or pretty dirty looking places from which I wouldn't eat any meat! Then found the butcher, which I loved but am really happy to have the convenience of good halal meats so close.

Speaking of Dearborn, they cancelled the TLC series, "Every Day Muslims". (is that the correct title?) Good, bad, or indifferent, (and I felt differently about the show depending upon who was highlighted in a certain week), I was disappointed that they cancelled it. I heard a lot of positive comments about it from non-Muslims who felt it educated them to the every day lives of Muslims and de-mystified (I like to call it de-"othered") Muslims for them.

My husband and father were so excited to see a show about Muslims! Then Lowe's pulled their commercials, then it got cancelled not long after. I found it to have some good moments about how Muslims live and work in the US. It would have been nice to have one more season so that I could really make a decision, but I am disappointed that it was pulled when other "less quality" shows have been on for years

He has his own laptop, I don't trust him with mine. I always know I am in trouble when he is heading toward me carrying the laptop. Aww that is such a sweet story

When I first met my honey he was flying in from San Diego. He had just been in the country a couple of days from his home country. His flight was to have suppose to have been here at 9-10 then we had a 3 hour delay due to maintenance issues or what ever. I had got my self all dolled up wearing some jeans a cute top my a$$ kicker boots. He calls me right before I was about to leave for the airport he's like maybe you might want to take a nap first since it's going to be a whilebefore my flight takes off. (I' thinking are oy kidding I spent all evening getting ready and then to sleep and reck my master piece (so to speak). I"m liek nah I'll stay up other wise I might not wake back up. I'm like what will you be wearing? He's like I will be the "man in black" I chuckled. So when he did finally arrive he of course was the last person off. (most of the pics I had of him were either tiny or he had his sun glasses on) So when I did see Him i saw this huge buff guy. I'm like is that him? His photo's did him no justice!! He was so exremely good looking. He of course was wearing his sun glasses. (this is his thing he has to always be wearing) but when he finally walked out the doors I was there waiting for him with the hugest smile ever! I pulled up his glasses so that I could look my love's beatiful eyes. We gave eachother a hug and kiss upon his arrival. This was the beginning of our happily ever after.
