Some of our customers, and some of our employees have recommended this company. Alejandra called them and it's roughly $60 USD from El Paso and like $20 from Juarez airports to the Holiday Inn Misiones.

does anyone know what cdj-439 is? They reference it in the medical exam instructions.
It's the vaccine list (http://ciudadjuarez.usconsulate.gov/root/pdfs/packet_04_complete.pdf)
CDJ-439 AUG/2009
Do you need all those for a K-1?

i think their form letter needs updating....should be.....

Just to let everyone know, they sent me a copy of Alejandra's letter. Dated 9/24 and i got it today 10/5
it basically says you can come for an open invitation from 8am to 10am except for Mexican and American holidays, and immigrant visa administrative days (last friday of each month).
please see
http://ciudadjuarez.usconsulate.gov/immigr...visa-forms.html
follow all instructions...blah blah blah.
Nothing else was included. The good news is that I don't need to wait for Alejandra to get the letter, or to go have it printed.
-
Good luck to you on your new journey, and to all of us who are jealous!!!!

Alejandra is going to call a service either tomorrow or Monday. I'll post the details here...if you'll be there we can split it.

i hope you can make the 18th, I think Marisela will be there too...so that would be 3 of us!

I guess my next biggest concern is safety. We are staying at the Holiday Inn. Is it safe to walk the 1-2 blocks to the consulate or should we use the shuttle service? Not to mention the border crossing.
My fiance is a beautiful, petite, mexicana, and I myself am 6-3 240lbs and bald, so we don't exactly blend too well. While I am a Black Belt in karate and could certainly defend myself if confronted....true victory would be avoiding a confrontation altogether.
Anyone have any thoughts?

Do the documents mentioned match the website? is there anything not on the website? Like the I-134?
-
Just remember you have to wait in Juarez for DHL to deliver the visa, so I might not book a return flight yet. I think the border crossing is like $60. My company hires a service to do that for our employees, I'll post the contact info on here when I get it.

Just bought 1-way tickets!!
-
I called the Consulate number just to ask a few questions..
Q. Do we need to wait for the letter/packet?
A. No, you can go to the information window with a passport, tell them they already mailed out your letter and they can print you a new one to take to the medical exam.
Q. How many days do I need to schedule?
A. Buy open ended tickets. If you can do the Medical and interview like Mon-Tues, he said it takes 1-3 days for DHL to deliver the visa, and they CANNOT send it to your home. You have to wait for it in Juarez. (That sucks).
Q. Does she need vaccionations?
A. Yes, the medical examiner will tell her which ones. I thought K-1's don't need it, but whatever.
I will stay at the Holiday Inn right next to the embassy!
-
Hang in there Sandi, I'm sure they will say they don't have it right up until you call one day and they are done. That's what happened to me.
-
Woohoo! I called the NVC again this morning and I got the same answer twice in a row!!! Our packet 3 was mailed out on Sept 23rd (My birthday!!).
Now the fun begins!!! I hear the gang colors are really pretty in Juarez this time of year
-
It was sent from the NVC on August 26th, and was sent out to my fiance on September 24th.
-
OK, so now I'm super excited while trying not to be excited. I called the NVC (202-663-1225) and the lady (who was very friendly) said our packet 3 had been sent out by regular mail within the last day or two!!!
I told her the Juarez embassy just last night told me to call back in 3 weeks. Her reply was "that's why you call us and not them".
I SURE HOPE SHE'S RIGHT!!!!! AND I HOPE THE MAIL SERVICE DOESN'T SCREW ANYTHING UP!!!!!
-
I don't think you need immunization records for a Fiance visa
-
Great...I just paid $7 to talk to someone who's English is worse than my Spanish, and all they told me was they have the file and I need to continue to wait, and should call back in 3-4 weeks. Oh really? Gee thanks for the update.
