  1. After seeing hapycloud got her interview date and that we have the same packet 3 logged date, I gathered up enough courage to call DOS (never done it before) and I got the same date!! July 8th!! Can't believe it!! Just a few days ago I was so anxious about doing something wrong. ruby-mtl, you should get yours soon, since your packet 3 is logged 3 days after ours :)

WOW 4 of us at Montreal on the same day!! That is going to be good, we can keep eachother calm.

Oh yeah, I was jittery with excitment when I first heard that my interview date is set, and now I am a bundle of nerves about gathering up all the paper for the interview...don't think I can be calm until it's all over! LOL

  3. Actually Muffin, California is the fastest service center right now! It seriously took you 8 months to get your NOA2? That's insane. Any idea why that could be the case? It took us a little over 3, that's it.

On the government website they posted that they have received doubled of application during month of July 2008, from the usual 1.2million to 2.4 million

  4. Poprocks and sapphiredreams, thank you guys for putting my mind to ease  He just visited last week and it is getting harder and harder to see him go....so was really scared that I did anything to make the process any longer than it is!

And you are so right Hugglebuggles, it seems that all the people that have filed back in Jan. and Feb. have gotten their interview date much quicker than anyone else that filed before and after that.....as for me, I really have to say that we weren't lucky to have to file our I-129 at California, it's the slowest of them all!! Was warned that it can take up to 8 months and it certainly did take that long  But glad to see that we are all at the final stretch, just have to hang in there somehow...

  5. Does anyone know if the interview date is determined base on what you have put down for expected travel date on DS160? Because I think I made a booboo :crying: We are applying for K1 visa and waiting for interview from Montreal since April 27, 2009, I know the average waiting time is about 2.5-4 months at the moment...but but but I have put down December as my expected time of travel! I did that so that I can have a few months making concrete plans for moving and wedding. So my question is that does that mean they will more likely to give me an interview date at later date like October?? I start to worry now because I have noticed a few people have put down a request for an interview date that would suit their travel plan and are getting it.....Please share what you have put down for your expected date of travel and when was your interview date to see if it does make a difference...am really kicking myself now :crying:

  6. That's correct, you bring it with you to the interview. CR1 visas work a bit differently and they have to send their documents out before their interview.

thank you SapphireDreams, I am running off to post office right now!! :D

  7. sorry this might seem to be a silly question, but I am getting ready to send back my packet 3 and I am getting more and more confused with all the information, haha. From what I have read from other people, they sent in the check list, DS-230 part I and completed DS-160 online, that's it, no need to send a copy of police certificate and birth certificate with packet 3. Is this correct?
